Chapter 66 Gossips
Chapter 66 Gossips
Dylan said, "Intermittent insanity. More than 10 years ago, Director Zhen and his wife's daughter were
kidnapped and forced to hand over the ransom. It was too late. A week later, a female corpse was
found in a harbor. At that time, it was completely unrecognizable. The blood type was tested and the
match rate was very high with Director Zhen. Mrs. Zhen had been crazy since then. Director Zhen has
been taking care of Mrs. Zhen all these years."
Cassie sighed, "All living beings are bitter."
Dylan smiled, "You're just a little girl. Why do you suddenly think of this?"
Cassie said, "Nothing. I just thought of my father."
Intermittent insanity was also a torment for family members, compared with the ALS. Maybe God didn't
want her to be so unlucky. Her foster mother passed away, her bestie poached her, and her boyfriend
cheated on her. That was why she met Dylan and he pulled her out of the quagmire of life.
After a moment's silence, Dylan said, "Dad is sick. I'll ask Leon to use the best medicine. Don't worry. I
will do what I have promised you."
Cassie giggled, "You don't have to repeat your promise to me."
Looking at her, Dylan said, "I don't want to repeat it. It's just that some idiot always talks about it in front
of me."
Cassie pouted and said nothing.
-
The dinner was over.
Simon and Cheryl sent the guests away. Cassie went back to her room and looked through the book
that Ryan gave her. Cheryl knocked on the door and asked, "Hello, can I come in?"
Taking a sip of coffee, Cassie smiled and said, "Please."
With a package in Cheryl's hand, Cassie frowned and asked, "What's this?"
"Of course it's a copybook of calligraphy." said Cheryl with a cunning smile.
"… Is he serious?"
Cassie turned her face. Was this true? Her handwriting was not so ugly. Why did Dylan ask her to
practice it.
"Otherwise, do you think I'm joking with you?"
A familiar voice suddenly sounded. Cassie looked at the door and saw Dylan coming in.
"Then I'll go first." Cheryl said with a subtle smile.
Dylan nodded in agreement.
Curling her lips, Cassie tugged at Dylan's sleeve and said pitifully, "Well, isn't this what kids need to
do? I'm already 22 years old. Why are you still thinking about this? !"
With a smile at the corners of his mouth, Dylan teased her, "Yes, you are 22 years old now. But your
handwriting is not as beautiful as children's."
He rubbed Cassie's hair and said, "Write it down obediently. I'll check it on a page every day."
Cassie bent over the table dejectedly, trying to struggle, and muttered, "What if I don't?"
With an evil smile, Dylan stood opposite the table and stared at her. "Then I..."
His voice trailed off. Knowing what he was going to say next, Cassie quickly covered his mouth with her
hand.
His eyelashes cast a shadow on the silkworm. He was only one centimeter away from Cassie, which
was the closest distance between people.
The emerald green retro lamp beside the desk reflected a ray of light on his side face. All of a sudden,
Cassie fell into his eyes, which were deeper than the night.
She blinked her eyes and saw the familiar figure of the man. She looked at him blankly, and suddenly a
gentle kiss fell on her lips.
"HMM..."
Cassie held her breath. Her mind went blank, and her heart beat fast, as if it was about to jump out of
her throat the next second.
Seeing her like this with great interest, the corners of Dylan's mouth suddenly raised high.
After a while, Cassie lowered her head and touched her lips shyly. She surrendered and said softly, "I'll
write it. I'll write it, okay?"
Satisfied, Dylan said, "Practice more and calm down."
-
It was the first time for Cassie to attend the script meeting of the crew, so she couldn't be late. So she
got up early.
The office building of Huayu was located in the Financial Street of H city. It was very prosperous.
Cheryl opened the door for her. Cassie got out of the car and walked into the building in her high heels.
The employee recognized Cassie at a glance and greeted her respectfully. Cassie replied politely with
a smile.
As soon as she walked to the elevator, a yellow trouble sign appeared in front of her.
Cassie thought, "Am I so unlucky?"
The meeting room was on the twelve floor. Was she going to climb the twelve floor stairs?
Cheryl said, "I'll ask the logistics department. You can go first. I'll be right there."
Cassie nodded and climbed the stairs helplessly. As soon as she reached the eighth floor, she heard a
delicate female voice. "Mr. Dylan, didn't you say that you would give me the role?" Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Huh? It seems like gossips?
Cassie clung to the corner of the wall and took a stealthy look. At the corner at the end of the corridor,
there were two figures. A woman in a red dress was flirting with a man.
The voice was so familiar?!
After a quick thought, several words popped up in Cassie's mind - Betty Tong.
Yes, yes! She was the most popular actress in the entertainment circle, Betty Tong!
When Betty was 18 years old, she became famous because of the movie "Evil". Since then, she had
been invited to work and became one of the A-list. Her fans commented on her, "A face that can make
people fall in love with."
"Then let's see..."
A familiar male voice sounded. Before he could finish his words, the woman wrapped her arms around
his neck and pressed herself against him.
Hearing the voice, Cassie still couldn't believe it. Out of curiosity, she poked out her little head. The
man's side face was exposed.
What the fuck! It was really Dylan?!
She didn't expect that he was a national husband who was obsessed with his wife and had a good
image on the surface, but actually made a hidden rule in the entertainment circle?!
No initiative, no rejection, no responsibility!
Cassie secretly took out her phone and took a photo of Dylan with the camera. With a sly smile, she
muttered in her heart, "Humph, if this photo is exposed to the public, I'll see how you can maintain the
image of a national good husband!"!
When she was chuckling, Cheryl called. Fortunately, her phone was muted!
Cassie hung up the phone in a hurry. Afraid of making any noise, she took off her high heels, stood on
tiptoe and climbed up the stairs barefoot.
Cassie leaned against the handrail of the staircase, gasping for breath. Just now, her heart was about
to jump out of her throat. She sat on the stairs, took out a bottle of water from her bag and drank it
slowly.
Cassie threw her high-heeled shoes aside and smiled. But gradually, she began to feel sad.
