Part 7
”What are you doing here?” Zoe asked, still feeling the rate of her heartbeat. ”Sorry?” the voice came. ”Please could you not do that next time. I mean, you scared the hell out of me, Rico.” Zoe finally mumbled.
”I didn’t mean to frighten you!” He said, glaring at her. Zoe crouches down trying to hold her whiff. ”Are you okay?” He said a bit guilty. ”Yes, I’m alright.” She said getting up, she took her bicycle from the floor.
”However Rico, what exactly are you doing here? Like did you stalk me here?” She wanted to know, so she obviously asked him. ”Dora asked me to pick you up from the bakery, so we could head to her house.” Rico said, peeking at her for a response.
Dora had a lot of confidence, seriously. ”Were you the one with the car behind me?” she asked Rico.
”Yes, I was obviously following you since I don’t know my way to Dora or Bella’s house.” Rico said, staring at Zoe.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
Rico was friendly and always trying to please her, though he was a shy type. He had that nice accent with curly hair, tall, and well-assembled. You know to top every description he was very handsome, most college girls plunge by their bakery to buy from their shop because of Rico.
Though Zoe still marvels at why he rejects them.
”We could use the car?” Rico eventually said. ”Sure, if you want me to!” Zoe said. He collected the bicycle from her grip as he opened the front passenger seat for her to occupy.
”Thank you?” she said.
”You’re always welcome, senorita,” Rico said. He unlocked the booth of his car to put the bicycle, when he was done she took her gaze back to the window.
She couldn’t help but catch full sight of how flashy Rico’s car was, I mean to say how did he get the money to buy such an expensive car was all that occupied Zoe’s thought.
He finally sat in the driver’s seat as he turned the engine of the car to life. ”Rico, l I never knew you could drive?” Zoe asked out of curiosity.
”My dad made me take the driving lesson when I was just sixteen years old.” he said, staring at the road.
”I thought you said your dad was dead? You said he was attacked,” Zoe asked out of confusion. He licked his lips as he used the handkerchief to clean the sweat that was starting to build on his face.
”You don’t need to answer the question if you don’t feel like it,” Zoe said slowly with a hint of guilt.
”Zoe, I just feel sweaty. I mean you can ask anything you want. My dad died three years ago. He was killed because he had gone for an assignment as an undercover agent in the human world!” Rico explained.
Presently, Zoe felt guilty for asking. ”I’m sorry for asking?” She said, staring at Rico.
Finally, they drove into the huge packhouse of Dora. There were a lot of wolf guards everywhere which was totally normal. They noticed Dora outside her house.
She was dressed up in a tight short party dress and heels. I mean she looked beautiful and sassy as always. Zoe unlocked the car door before striding toward her. ”Why did you have to ask Rico to pick us up? Dora, that wasn’t nice.” Zoe said, approaching Dora.
She didn’t even answer her question, rather she stared at Zoe like a nut person. ”What are you putting on mary?” she asked with her eyes popped out. ”Clothes obviously.” she mumbled in reply.
”I know you are putting on a cloth silly, but these aren’t party clothes Zoe, this is your last year in high school, and you don’t expect boys to come after you dressed like the holy preachers in the human movie I watched yesterday.” she blabbered out, making Zoe glance at what she was wearing.
”Dora can we just go already? Rico is waiting.” Zoe said, pulling Dora to the car.
”And why didn’t Parker come to pick us up?” Zoe asked Dora.
”He had games to play in school ahead of the Friday celebration party if they win.” Dora said. They finally reached the car and Dora dropped her hand from Zoe’s grip. ”Hey Rico?” Dora said. ”Hi Dora, thank you for asking me to pick you guys up.” Rico mumbled. Zoe wondered why he was so pleased to pick them up! She instantly shrugged the thought from her mind.
”We’re going to be late Dora, and I didn’t plead all night from Dad or my mum Lilian.” Zoe explained. ”Wow, I’m impressed by you, Zoe.” Dora said.
Zoe didn’t want to keep on prolonging the talks, she knew Dora could sleep at the party if she wanted but Zoe knew that her dad wouldn’t even let her sleep at a party. And basically, tomorrow was school and she didn’t want to go home overdue.
Finally, they pulled up at the garage of the Bella’s. Cars were parked everywhere, The sound of music was booming in the estates.
Teenage wolves were trooping in and out of the beautifully decorated building, Zoe glanced at Dora hoping she wouldn’t ditch her for her boyfriend. ”Don’t worry Zoe you’re going to be fine, this is just a simple party.” Dora assured.
They closed the door as Rico explained that he was only going to give the car a good park. Zoe had never been to a party since her days spent in high school, truthfully not that she didn’t want to go to one but nobody had attempted to invite her over for one.
She stared at the flower garden to notice two teenage wolves making out, she shrieked at the smell of alcohol oozing everywhere.
She opened the door to be welcomed with disco party lights everywhere, you could hardly see faces. I mean people dressed all sassy, beautiful with makeup on. A boy and a girl pushed Zoe as they kissed themselves to the door before penetrating inside a room.
Zoe hoped the result of their make-out doesn’t earn them a pup. She sighted Bella as she and Dora waved their hands at her which she waved back as she approached them.
”Hey, Dora and Zoe, I mean you guys made it.” Bella mumbled heartily. The front door was filched open as Parker and his crew walked in, Zoe could notice the smile on Dora’s face. She instantly knew that Dora was going to ditch her for her boyfriend.
“betrayal!” Zoe scoffed.
”Most people actually need this during parties with hot dudes around, you might need this,” Dora said before dropping a condom in Zoe’s hand.
”Dora, what is this for?” Zoe asked, feeling embarrassed. ”Thank me later?” She said before leaving and kissing Mark on the lips. Zoe gazed around to see if she could find Rico but she couldn’t instead she sighted Alex with Lisa all over him.
This was actually what she was good at. Zoe strolled to the counter to get a drink. ”Hey Zoe,” she heard making her twirl to notice Lisa. Zoe marveled at what she wanted now? She was presently not ready for any of her bull shit. ”What do you want Lisa?” she asked, feeling suspicious.
”We want to play a game with the guys, I mean with Alex. Do you want to join?” she asked.
Zoe was about to reject it because she had read so much stuff about games that were played during parties were filled with teenagers acting outrageously. ”I know you might think it’s going to be silly but I promise you If you don’t find the game amazing you can leave.” Lisa explained.
Zoe hesitated before saying what she might regret later.
“I am gonna play.”
