Chapter 42~ A date
Chapter 42- A date
At Lora's apartment, the twins had knocked off from school and were in the playroom.
Ethan sighed when he saw the news on his tablet. He shook his head and clicked his tongue before saying, "Daddy is so dumb. He let Mommy go to someone else."
Ella pouted. She looked at her brother and asked, "Is Mommy going to marry Uncle Jason? Does this mean we will grow up without a Daddy?"
"Uncle Jason is not bad. He loves Mommy and since he's the one Mommy wants to marry, we have no choice but to accept him as our Daddy," Ethan reasoned with his younger sister. Ella's eyes brimmed with tears and her lower lip quivered. She said, "But I want Uncle rich and handsome to be my Daddy."
"Ella, the man who Mommy loves will be our Daddy-"
"No! I want the handsome Uncle. I like him even if he's dumb," Ella protested and tears rolled down her cheeks.
Ethan felt bad for his younger sister. He leaned over and wiped her tears, saying, "Don't cry, Ella. Such a crybaby. Don't worry, I saw Daddy kiss Mommy last night. There's still hope."
Ella's eyes lit up. She immediately stopped crying and asked, "Are you telling the truth, Ethan? Mommy and Daddy kissed like other parents?"
Ethan nodded, smiling at Ella. He promised, "I'll help Daddy win back our Mommy... but not now. Mommy seems to be very angry with Daddy but I think she still loves Daddy, otherwise, she wouldn't be so angry with him." "Does Daddy love Mommy?" Ella asked.
Ethan stroked his chin thoughtfully and replied, "I'm not sure... From what I saw last night, he does. But I don't know why he's with that evil woman."
Ella grinned and suggested, "Since they both love each other, let's help our parents get back together!"
Ethan nodded and gave Ella a high-five.
Days passed by in a blur...
It was a weekend and Jason had asked Lora out on their first date as a couple. For this date, Jason offered to teach Lora how to play golf.
He had always wanted to teach her but Lora rejected his offer because of how intimate the postures he would make when teaching her were. However, now that they were a couple, Lora agreed to let him teach her.
They both looked stylish with Lora wearing a white, sleeveless polo shirt with a mini-white flared skirt and white sneakers. Whereas, Jason wore a navy, classic polo shirt which was tucked into tanned golf pants. Both Lora and Jason wore white caps to shield their faces from the sun.

"I'm going to show you how to do it and then, you will try it on your own," Jason said the moment they reached the golf course, "Watch me."Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
It was a warm and sunny day and the golf course was quiet, save for the rustling of leaves from the trees in the distance. There was a resting area where those who were tired sat to watch the players on the
course.
"You have to stand like this with your feet spread apart," Jason explained, getting into position. He gripped the golf club tightly and placed it behind the golf ball. "As a beginner, you don't need to do hard swings... just be gentle and try to smoothly swing the ball into a hole by using a few strokes."
Jason swung his club and hit the golf ball. He kept his eye on the ball and threw a punch in the air when it entered a hole in one stroke. "Yes!"
"Wow! Your skills are amazing," Lora praised, impressed. "Here... it's your turn," Jason said and gave Lora the club.

Lora hesitated but she grabbed the club and got into position, trying to recall what Jason had done. She asked, "Am I doing it right?"
"Relax your shoulders," Jason instructed and when Lora raised her shoulders, he chuckled and went to stand behind her. He placed his hands on Lora's shoulders until she relaxed her arms... then he grabbed her waist to help with her stance. He murmured in a low voice, "Like this..." Stepping closer, he positioned his hands over Lora's hands on the club from behind and offered, "Let me help..."
Lora could feel Jason's warm breath on the back of her neck. Her heart raced in her chest but she didn't know if it was because of the position they were in or something else.
Meanwhile, in the resting area, Ivy Williams looked at the couple on the course before asking Ryan, "Isn't that Lora and Jason?"
Ryan who was resting in his chair and had his eyes closed opened them when he heard Ivy's words. He glanced at the course and narrowed his eyes when he saw Lora and Jason's intimate position.
"Oh my... I didn't know their relationship had advanced so much. They look so good together," Ivy remarked, looking at Ryan.
However, her heart sank when she saw the angry look on Ryan's face as he glared at the couple.
Ryan's jaw was clenched. His eyes were burning with fury as he watched Jason help Lora with swinging the golf club.
'Take your hands off of her!' He roared in his mind. His chest was heaving and it was taking his all to not rush over and separate them.
Ryan had arrived at the golf club earlier. He didn't want to go on a date with Ivy, however, she kept asking him and he chose to come to the golf club since Ivy couldn't play in her condition... it was his way of avoiding her. Who knew he would run into Lora and Jason at the golf club?
When Lora successfully swung a ball into a hole, Jason turned her around before cupping her face and placing a kiss on her lips.

Seeing that, Ryan got to his feet, pushing his chair back with a screech. He couldn't take it anymore... he wanted to rush over there and take Lora away!
If looks could kill, Jason would be dead by now.
"Ryan..." Ivy called Ryan, seeing how he was fighting with himself to stop himself from going over to Lora. He couldn't even take his eyes off of her. It was clear to Ivy that he was jealous...
Ryan didn't look back at Ivy so she made to grab his hand but she ended up falling out of her wheelchair before rolling on the floor.
"Ouch... Ryan, I think I've sprained my ankle. Please take me to the hospital," Ivy cried.
Only then did Ryan look at Ivy. Guilt crept into his heart when he saw Ivy on the floor and he carried her before placing her back in the wheelchair.
At this moment, Lora and Jason walked to the resting area to get some refreshments. Lora had seen Ivy fall from her wheelchair. She looked at her and remarked, "Miss Williams, it's been years since your injury, how come your legs haven't been treated yet? I know a few internationally renowned experts who can help treat your legs if you would like."
Ivy turned pale at Lora's words.
