They intend to travel abroad
“My sister! Welcome back home!” Claudio’s voice reaches the lawn as he exclaimed when his family entered the mansion. “How are you?”
“She’s tired.” Elfedio sighed wearily, hauled himself towards the couch, and sat down. “Do give her time to rest first.”
“Okay,” Claudio said, although what he wanted to say was, “Why are you so rude, though, when I just want to say hello to my sister?”
Claudio thinks that his parents never changed. They are still overprotective of their daughter until now, whereas when it comes to him, they have not given any attention since he was little. He knew it seemed impossible for his plan to succeed, but he lived by the saying that villains never give up, and he had just started.
Rebecca didn’t say anything but followed Lucille as she led her upstairs. She doesn’t know why she still feels this way. Her brother is happy after what happened to her, or maybe she’s just staring at the negative side.
“So, son, did you take care of our company in the west?” Elfedio asked.
Bernadette didn’t want to listen to their man-to-man conversation, so she stood up and said that she was going to take some rest. She got into their bedroom and left her husband and son discussing the company.
“Of course, dad,” Claudio replied as he sat down and leaned on the couch, laughing in his head as he thought, “Let’s see what your reaction will be once you find out that I already sold everything to your rival.”
“If that is so, well, perhaps you know that no one else can inherit our wealth in the west except you, because your sister doesn’t have any interest in that.” Elfedio stood up and walked towards the door. “I’m still curious about who was that person who tried to poison her.”
The silence tried to take hold, but Claudio stood up and said, “Don’t worry dad, I’ll help you catch that person who profaned my sister.”
“Thank you, son. For now, I’ll go to the kitchen to ask those cooks regarding this.” Elfedio turned back and left Claudio alone in the living room.
“If they can no longer handle everything for now, how much more tomorrow? Haha haha, even right now, I can see how everything scatters,” Claudio soliloquized as he got out of the mansion.
On the one hand, inside her bedroom, Rebecca stares right at Emerson through the window after Lucille left her. She was tired, but she was still lively every time she saw him, not even looking back, perhaps because he felt guilty that it had been a month since they started dating, but they couldn’t tell her parents.
“Do they already know each other?” Rebecca asked herself when she saw her brother getting near to Emerson, and they seemed to be talking about something, which turned her into curiosity.
“Are you going to say hello to my sister?” Claudio asked.
“What?” Emerson exclaimed. “I also want to, but you know, your parents, it’s so difficult to get their approval.”Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
“And how can you get their approval if you’re not even telling them about you and my sister?” Claudio snatched the hose from him. “Go on, tell them now, or you can’t tell them anymore, because they are planning to go abroad.”
“Huh?” Emerson exclaimed in his mind as heaven and earth showered him with what he had heard. “Are they that eager to take Rebecca away from me?” He tried to calm himself, although his feet seemed to run away.
“You look sad.” Claudio smirked, then laughed. “Don’t worry, I’m only joking. They don’t really have a plan to go, I swear.”
The thought of sadness suddenly broke up in Emerson’s mind. He doesn’t know why there are a lot of savage people in this place, but all he knows is that he doesn’t know what to do if Rebecca leaves.
“Please sir, give me that hose. I’m still working. Go tell them if you want.” Emerson’s hands gestured worried nor bewildered, but the exact description was nervous that Rebecca’s brother is like a vassal of the devil with the way he acts.
“You’re working the whole day. Do you not want to tell them the truth, or are you expecting me to drag you inside?” He warned.
“I’m sorry, sir.” Claudio attempted to apologize that he couldn’t follow his order, but Emerson attempted to explain, but Claudio didn’t want to listen; he dropped the hose and dragged him towards the wide-opened door of the mansion.
“Man! Never wait that she’ll be gone before you fight for your love,” Claudio tried his best to convince Emerson, but he was hard as a metallic statue.
If he was just so rude to reveal his real self, Emerson would have already punched that mischievous man, but because he knew he was on the lower status in this situation, he didn’t. Considering Claudio’s word as an order, he told him that he could manage to go inside, although he just halted there.
“Will you tell them the truth, or are you too afraid to reveal your relationship?” Claudio asked in a manner that sounds like underestimating Emerson.
The heat of annoyance within his flesh seemed to burst forth, especially that someone called him a coward. Emerson thought that Claudio also had his time like every dog. However, he was forced to follow him: they entered the mansion and continued to the kitchen, where Elfedio went, but he wasn’t there anymore.
“He went to the farmstead,” the cook told them.
Going towards the farmstead, Emerson asked why Claudio was so determined to make him admit the truth. There, Claudio told him that their parents were not as strict as he thought, especially if he took good care of Rebecca.
“It’s okay for me too, but I have one word: take care of my sister if you don’t want something wrong to happen to you,” Claudio warned.
They eventually found Elfedio talking with Damian. The world turns slowly, but Emerson’s heart beats fast because he wasn’t really comfortable with what he was going to do.
“Hi Dad,” Claudio said. “Emerson wants to tell you something.”
What is Emerson going to tell his boss that he stole the show? He didn’t expect that the workers would stop working and went towards them to listen. Someone had set up that to happen, and Emerson became more nervous when he saw Bernadette, along with her daughter, approaching.
“Oh! What are you still waiting for, Emerson? Tell them the truth now!” Claudio commanded.
Everyone’s gazes were asking if he was going to tell, even Bernadette and Elfedio became curious about what that really was. Then the spotlight suddenly turned to Rebecca when she said something.
