“Miss Giselle,” called one of the hotel concierges. In his hand was a bouquet and a large red paper bag. “There’s a delivery for you.”
Giselle has just finished a seminar on social life that is increasingly developing. Although there are good and bad impacts, but knowledge about the life around them must be known together. and the spotlight is also on public figures like them. do not let there be missteps that mostly smell of promotion or behavior in everyday life, because nowadays, a content quickly becomes viral. There is a bad side as well as a good side.
They must be good at sorting out what is easily accepted and does not cause controversy.
“For me?” asked Giselle in surprise. Originally, she had wanted to go back to her room. Just to unwind before going back to her activities at two o’clock in the afternoon. Lunch had been served by the organizing committee but Giselle wasn’t in the mood for a hearty meal just yet.
“That’s right, Miss. It was just delivered by the shop.”
Giselle’s brow furrowed even more. she accepted despite being a little surprised, who would send flowers like this? and as expected, the delivery soon became a topic of conversation among the contestants. Some of them immediately asked questions but others, whispered in a gossipy tone. Giselle was the only one who received the delivery on the first day of Miss World.
“You earned one star today.”
That remark immediately earned a sardonic glance from Giselle. As she entered the elevator that would take her to the floor where her room was located, Harvey entered. Carrying a water bottle that he had already drank almost half of.
“Are you jealous?”
Harvey chuckled. The elevator doors were left closed even though there were still a few people who wanted to get in. Harvey himself was lazy with annoying people like them. Fortunately, Giselle didn’t hold the button to keep the door open and let the others get on. Maybe her hands were already struggling with the flowers and paper bags.
“Some say you’re a sly girl.” Giselle pushed aside the question in her mind, which she also seemed to know the answer to regarding the sender. There was a card in the bouquet of flowers in her hand. The initials on it made it clear who had done such a crazy thing. Giselle would probably give him a warning later. Was it because the man’s message was never replied to that he attracted Giselle’s attention in this way?
How annoying.
“So if I’m sneaky, our bet is off?” asked Harvey, looking at Giselle humorously. “Looks like you’re in trouble. Need some help?”
“You shouldn’t have to ask. As a cunning friend, you need a high level of sensitivity.”
“Oh!” Harvey laughed. “Even though you’re sneaky, you need me, right?”
Giselle spluttered. She handed over the large paper bag in her hand. It was quite heavy but she couldn’t check it now. maybe when they were in the room Giselle would check it immediately. while also sending a message to the sender, don’t carelessly send things like this. oh my! Not even two weeks had passed, she was already the center of attention.
“Do you know some of the contestants here?” asked Giselle, which coincided with the sound of the elevator indicating that their destination floor had arrived.
“Not much,” Harvey stepped out first, waited for Giselle to come out, and walked along together. “But for the most part I know what she looks like.”
“Not far from a wolf in rabbit’s clothing, right?”
Harvey’s laughter had already erupted. “Well, you’re learning fast to understand what they’re like.”
Giselle grinned slightly. her steps stopped right in front of her bedroom door. She quickly opened it and invited Harvey to enter. Needing no prompting, the girl had already waltzed into Giselle’s room. It made the owner scowl but she quickly closed the door without protest.
“Where do you put flowers this big?” grumbled Giselle in the end. The bouquet was beautifully arranged, seductively red in color, and fragrant as a rose. But Giselle was at a loss as to where to put this bouquet of flowers. if it was carelessly placed, it would only make the bouquet spoil.
“Ask Daisy to find a container. Maybe a tall glass so you can put it on the table over there,” Harvey suggested, which made Giselle look thoughtful.
“Before that, I have to make sure the sender doesn’t do anything else.” Giselle quickly picked up the cell phone in the small bag that was never far from her. Just as she was about to type a message, a message came in first.
+6790944***0:
Did you like what I sent? How did the cookies taste? Is it to your taste?
“Tsk!” Giselle spluttered but then, reached for the paper bag Harvey had placed on the nightstand. It was true what the message said; it was chocolate cookies that she loved. Oh, not to forget the chocolate-based sweets that were pretty much in the paper bag.
“Oh my, so it’s food?” Harvey was surprised too. He looked at the contents of the paper bag one by one and finally laughed. “From your management?”
“Are you crazy?” Giselle clucked in disapproval. “If they knew, they would have asked me to get rid of it. Even my cookie jar that I brought from my apartment was confiscated when I arrived yesterday.”
Harvey couldn’t stop laughing. “But now, you’ve hit the jackpot.” He took one of the jars, opened it without permission and ate it immediately. “This is delicious.”
“Hey!” Giselle snatched away the jar in Harvey’s hand. “This is mine.”
“I know.” Harvey continued chewing. “I’ll help you finish it. It would be fair if we gained weight together.”
“Damn it!” Giselle scowled but then she gave the jar back to Harvey. “Just for you. There are two more jars.”
“Friends for coffee tonight.”
“Ah, you’re right.” Giselle soon sat down beside Harvey. She savored the chocolate cookies, which were not too sweet but were very pleasant to her taste buds. Giselle wanted them over and over again until she finished the whole jar if necessary.
“We should have lunch, Giselle. Cookies don’t fill you up.” Harvey quickly closed the jar. “Did you thank the sender? I think you know who sent these, right?”
I want to protest, but what Harvey says is true. They need a filling lunch because the activities until the afternoon are quite exhausting. You don’t want them to get sick because of a late meal.
“Do I have to thank you? I’m a bit annoyed actually.” Giselle wiped the remaining cookie crumbs in her mouth with a tissue. Her eyes fell on the bouquet of flowers that still caught her attention. “If it was in the apartment, I would have displayed it on the dining table. The roses are beautiful.”
“Annoying or not, at least you appreciate the effort. After all, there’s nothing to lose by thanking people who pay attention to you, right? You’re benefiting here anyway. The jar that was confiscated, was replaced several times over.” Harvey laughed. “Come on, we’ll have a late lunch together. We have to get along with the wolf pack.”
“You,” Giselle shook her head in surprise. “You didn’t suspect me of being one of the wolves?” She quickly typed a reply message. There was no need to be long-winded, just short and it seemed understandable since Giselle was busy with many activities today.
Giselle. N:
That’s it. Thank you for the cookies and flowers. Unfortunately, the bouquet didn’t have a proper container.
In addition, Giselle also sent a photo of the bouquet of flowers she was holding as proof that she had received all her deliveries. It’s true what Harvey said, he should still be grateful.
“No wolf asks its prey if it is the sneaky one.”
Giselle quickly caught up with Harvey after making sure the door was locked again. “I was actually wondering,” She was already at Harvey’s side like before. Which is where her words this time, get Harvey’s attention.
The girl glanced at Giselle as if waiting to see what Giselle would say next.Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
