The photographer this time, stared at his shot with a look of frustration. He had to massage his temples to get rid of the things that still filled his eyes. From the tail of his eyes, he glanced at Giselle who was sitting with a sour face. Her hands were crossed, her eyes flashing with emotion, but not at today’s activities. There must be something bothering her. But what?
Nico let out a long sigh. It was better to talk to Giselle since she was the one who was asked to be on the front cover of the magazine that would be published in two weeks. “Giselle,” he called as he pulled up a chair.
Feeling called out by her coworker, Giselle quickly discarded this unpleasant feeling. “Yes?”
“I want to talk.”
Giselle blinked in surprise but then, her eyes fell on the camera Nico was carrying. And because of that too, Giselle looked guilty. “I…”
“Do you realize your mistake?” Nico asked softly.
“I guess.” Giselle bit her lower lip. “I really feel guilty for causing you trouble.”
Nico smiled slightly. “Yeah… you know, if we start all over again, it’ll be a waste of time today. Tomorrow, you still have another schedule, right?”
Giselle looked down even deeper.
“I need you to concentrate this time. I’m repeating myself in some parts. I need your uniqueness for this magazine. You should feel lucky that I was asked to direct the camera. What if the people from their magazines had stepped in and the result was like this?”
Giselle is increasingly guilt-ridden.
Nico didn’t have the heart. Knowing Giselle since a few months ago, practicing so hard so that Justin’s performance would be successful and without any obstacles, there were also rarely any complaints about the work he was doing. Despite being busy, there had never been a complaint from Giselle’s mouth.
“Is there a problem?” she asked in a sympathetic tone.
“Nothing.” Giselle smiled broadly. “It was my fault just now. I shouldn’t have brought personal matters into work.”Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Nico was still staring intently at Giselle. Which made the girl look awkward and was covered with a crisp laugh. Pretend. Nico knew that.
“Come on… which part should I repeat? I’m ready. I won’t be bothered anymore.” She stood up and fixed her dress. Calling Brina to tidy up her appearance a little from make-up to hairdo.
Although Giselle doesn’t have much to worry about, still, for this reshoot she doesn’t want to make many parties lose money. Especially Nico who gave her a warning earlier. After all, why should Giselle feel annoyed and irritated?
Tsk!
It must be because of the bouquet of flowers and the card tucked in there. How could that man know her residence? But if Giselle thought about it, wouldn’t it be easy to get information about her now? Especially since Giselle knew who Andrew was in this intersecting world of work?
“Damn,” he grumbled softly.
Which remark was heard by Brina. The woman looked at Giselle with astonishment. “You… have a problem?”
Giselle quickly covered it up with a big grin. “What am I piling up trouble for?” she immediately let out a laugh that sounded strange. “I’m fine.” She prepared to go to the place specified by Nico. This time there would be no mistakes.
He has become one with this job. Don’t let the kind angels who are present in his life be disappointed.
“That man is just a passing thought. He won’t bother me,” Giselle said determinedly.
It took an hour for Giselle to pose the way Nico wanted her to. This time, Nico’s smile was wide. The result was exactly what he wanted and Nico was confident that Giselle’s face, which would appear in the magazine, would be stunning and impressed.
Not to mention the content around the interview that has already been conducted. Giselle Namiozuka was indeed asked to fill in one of the spaces regarding her impression of the fashion world that is currently flourishing.
The sweat dots on Giselle’s forehead, she was not too concerned about. The heat that occasionally hit her body, too, she didn’t care much about. Giselle didn’t want any repetition. She would be ashamed if she disappointed Nico.
“Well, this is the new Giselle I know.” Nico laughed with satisfaction. This afternoon’s photoshoot ended with a sigh of relief. He checked his latest photos several times and could not shake his excitement. “You really did look your best.”
Giselle immediately accepted the water bottle Brina gave her. The heat around the location quickly made her thirst come. A few sips were able to quench it although not entirely because she needed to be in a cooler place. Her face looked flushed but really, she was happy and satisfied that Nico was cheerful again with his photos.
This means that the hard work of getting rid of the bully in Giselle’s head is working. Don’t think it’s just the flowers she’s afraid of, but what Andrew could do if he missteps.
“I apologize for the mistake earlier. For tomorrow’s shoot, I’ll make sure there will be no more Giselle acting strangely,” he said with a big smile.
This was greeted with laughter from Nico. He said, “I’m glad you can sort out what’s professional and what’s not. Justin put you on a lot of schedules for a reason, Giselle. I know, you must be exhausted. But you know, the more hours you put in, the better you’ll be at managing your expressions and emphasizing each pose. Even the smallest angles should be able to be adjusted by the photographers in your team.”
Giselle nodded in understanding.
“You and Brina better rest inside. Justin will be here soon.”
Brina immediately grabbed Giselle. Carrying the model’s small bag, she asked some staff to tidy up the equipment she had been using.
“No chocolate for me, Brina?” asked Giselle without any guilt.
“No.”
“Come on,” Giselle whined urgently. “I need to improve my mood.”
Brina remained silent as she continued to walk.
“My weight is still normal, Brina. And the photo shoot for Miss World isn’t in two weeks anyway? I’m sure my weight is fine.”
“It’s not just another photo shoot. You need a lot of experience and knowledge to qualify. Just by following it, anyone can,” Brina chuckled as she pushed open the door to the room they were in during the shoot. More privacy and definitely more freedom for Giselle to do anything in there.
“I need to learn a lot of general knowledge, don’t I?” asked Giselle who had taken her hand off Brina. She chose to sit on a long chair and leaned back comfortably. The cooling air that began to hit her body felt cool and lulling. “We don’t have any more photo shoots this afternoon, right?”
“Nothing.” Brina smiled faintly. “But there’s a dinner invitation from the Ambassador. You should come with Justin.”
“No wonder before we took off yesterday, she told me to bring a black dress. Is the dresscode a black dress?”
Brina shook her head immediately. “Not just a black dress. But a masquerade ball.”
Giselle’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Dinner or what is the event?”
“The ambassador likes medieval parties. The black dress you brought must have been an ordinary style, right?”
Giselle frowned.
“I checked and it seems old-fashioned, Giselle.”
“Random! I got it from the Hush on Girl brand. You know, that dress that was all the rage last year.”
“I know,” Brina said with a light wag. “It’s pretty and I think it’s perfect for you. But this party isn’t just a party. From what I hear, the ambassador wants to announce his son’s wedding, which will take place in Dubai.”
Giselle was flabbergasted. “Dubai?”
“Yes!”
“Wow! An impossible dream for me to achieve it seems. Getting married in Dubai is something I never imagined in my life but I want it.”
Brina laughed. It was so exciting. Making Giselle frown. “You have a penchant for laughing at other people, Brina!”
“That’s not it,” Brina said, holding her stomach. She tried to restrain herself from laughing too much. “Getting married in Dubai is possible if you have the right partner. For example, a Saudi prince who owns a lot of oil refineries.”
Giselle frowned even more. She wanted to reply to Brina’s words by throwing a sofa cushion, but she decided against it when someone knocked on her door. Giselle thought Justin was already there. Just to take her to the edge of the city that was interesting enough to walk around.
It’s not.
When Giselle opened the door, the figure she had met a few nights ago was there. Standing with a faint smile containing a lot of smugness.
“Hi, Nami. We meet again.”
