Chapter 5
Chapter 5
Stupid first day at college. I cursed myself. My school days used to be outstanding. I don't have words
to express the fun I had at my school. My mere words can't express all those sweet memories. I don't
have the slightest idea of how the new students turned out to be. What if they are mean ?. What if they
bully me for coming from a poor family? What if they considered me trash?.
All those thoughts come running to my mind. I wished to get a friend who was as caring as Nancy. I
wanted her to be my best friend, just like Nancy, and trust me so I may be able to open about my
conditions.
For god's sake, I just wanted a normal and peaceful campus life. I prayed to God to give me a normal
college life. Maybe I could find an average-looking boy who would be very friendly, surrounded by
many friends who were not spoiled by their parents.
"No drugs and no alcohol for him. He can understand my family problems and always support me in my
life. Finally, I can marry him and live a normal life with him. Oh, I wish I wish I wish" I murmured.
Life could get complicated sometimes when you had a very complicated life that no one wished for. I
wanted my parents to have a normal life. I wanted enough money in my hands for my parents. I wanted
to buy them new clothes. Take a walk with them in the nearby park every evening to watch little kids
play around with those giggles and happiness. To take them to a fancy restaurant. Little wishes that
everyone had.
Interesting life ahead. I will buy a compact car so that we can go for small vacations or drive around the
town at night. I loved going for night rides. Nancy and I go out whenever we had free time. Yeah, before
that I must learn how to drive. I loved going to beaches and libraries. If I am lucky I may get a part-time
job at the Central Library. I applied there as a part-time librarian. Books are like a second family to me.
They always fantasized about me, especially mystery novels. I might fall in love with a boy who gifts me
with books rather than flowers. So that's why I am eager to fall in love.
Finally, after a long walk, I reached the beautiful college that I always dreamt of getting into. The
college looks extremely beautiful. Like something I read in my novels. That was one reason why I was Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
eager to get in here.
" Oh wow, " I said while looking around.
There was a beautiful garden that stood on the right side of the main building. Many flowers caught my
attention, but one of them was jasmine flowers. They seem to appear wherever I go. Their scent could
lift the mood of anyone. I chuckled and walked away.
I was 20 minutes early, my class was yet to start. So I decided to take a little tour of my new campus.
The campus was divided into mini buildings or sections. Every building, including the main building,
was connected with bridges. All buildings had 4 floors in them. The brick-colored buildings gave them a
vintage look.
The architecture was complicated enough to confuse new students who were not familiar with it. The
playground, canteen, and auditorium were at the backside of the campus.
"Thank god they put a map showing all the details "I keenly studied the map to figure out whether I
missed something.
After studying all the details about my college, I headed back to my class. The 15 minutes passed in a
blink of an eye. Looks like time runs faster here. I found my class in the building next to the main
building.
I took my major in literature. I was so relieved that I don't have to pay the heavy fees here all thanks to
the scholarship.
When I entered my class, it was already filled with many students. My class was big enough to fit 60 to
70 students. My benches inside my class were divided into 3 rows. I took a seat on the 3 rd bench of
the middle row. I guess 20 students could fit into each row and 5 on each bench. I always liked to
calculate the surrounding things. One habit I was very proud of.
I scanned the room. Many had already found their gang members. I don't think I fit in those gangs
because they gave me a look and ignored me as I was nothing. My style looks too plain compared to
them. Everyone seems to be fashionable and wealthy. The way most girls carry themselves seems to
give me a headache. They seemed too close to the surrounding boys. The way they talk with them. All
those flirting made me avoid them. Maybe I should stop judging people around me.
My eyes fell on a girl who looked too fashionable. She was wearing a sleeveless, cropped top. She had
flower tattoos on her stomach. Her pink blonde hair falls over her shoulders in a very stylish way. Her
skin was tanned and looked so clear. To sum it up she looked like a supermodel who was ready to go
for a ramp walk on a fashion show with hot-looking guys. Yeah right, I can see a flirtatious look from the
boys but she avoided them. Maybe she used to having perverts around her.
Some guys got the guts and started whistling and blinking at her, but she was busy talking to a girl. She
may gossip about those idiots because I saw them laughing like they cracked a good joke. Do I look
like a potato compared to her? But I think I saw her somewhere before. She looks too familiar. But I
forget where I had seen her.
I avoided them and looked down at my diary. As time passed, more students entered the class. They
were very noisy, which made me uncomfortable. I saw two plain-looking girls walking towards me. They
looked very familiar with each other. Twins maybe? The professor followed them to our class and
wished everyone.
"I want everyone to give a small introduction about yourself. So everyone gets ready. I will be calling
roll number wise " the teacher said.
The majority of the students are from wealthy families because my college is a prestigious one in the
country and to get admission here is very difficult. Even if we get one we and to pay high fees. They
provide 20 percent scholarships to students who bagged higher ranks.
I got two friends, one was Ria and the other one was Rose. Oh yeah, they were twins. They don't look
very much alike. They said because Ria looked like her dad and Rose looked like her mom. But both of
them had amber eyes and their outfit almost matched. They were adorable. I always wished I had a
sister with who I could share my thoughts and secrets. Life could be difficult sometimes when you are
the only child of your parents. I always felt bored when I was a little girl.
During the lunch break, we headed to the canteen. I never thought canteen food be this good. A perfect
campus so everything must be damn perfect even the food.
We chatted a little and found more about our interests. Ria and Rose are like two opposite poles. One
likes puppies and the other likes kittens. One liked dancing and the other looked singing. But both of
them are extroverts.
I am very much relieved to hear that because I was an extrovert myself. I liked the two sisters. They
looked like someone I could depend on.
I couldn't wait to tell Nancy about them. Maybe she could meet them someday and hang out with
them.
