Senior Zimmer noticed the change in her expression and sighed.

She must be an inexperienced woman to be easily shocked. She would be easily influenced.

Zack Zimmer went forward with a wide smile and stretched out his hand. "Welcome, Manager Sorrell, it is an honor to have you here. Allow me to introduce. This is the senior of our family..."

Wendy Sorrell's face was polite. She retreated half a step without any change in her expression. She nodded slightly and said, "I've seen Senior before."

Zack's hand stiffened at her words, but he kept his high spirits. He quickly changed his gesture to a welcoming one. "Since you are here, Manager

Sorrell, please have something to eat at our humble abode before we proceed to talk about business. Is that fine with you?"

Wendy hesitated for a while before smiling and said, "I've asked another friend to come. I'm not sure if she will agree to the dinner invitation."

Soon, a beautiful woman clad in a business suit with her hair tied up in a ponytail walked over from the driver's side.

Zack's whole body shuddered at that instant. The next moment, he dashed toward her. "I did not notice that it was you, Secretary Xavier. A very warm welcome to you. Do pardon our rudeness for not welcoming you earlier..."This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Yvonne Xavier fell into a daze being in this situation. It was clear that she was not sure what was going on.

However, they were both invited into the Zimmer family's villa although they were both still confused.

Wendy and Yvonne walked into the hall while still in a muddled state. They were then shocked to the core. They did not imagine that it would be such a grand scene. In fact, every one of the Zimmer family was dressed in splendid clothes. They were both underdressed, only in casual clothing, and felt extremely embarrassed.

Zack led the way into the hall and looked around. He said with some delight in his voice, "Ladies and gentlemen, aside from Manager Sorrell, we are most honored to also welcome the secretary to the CEO of York Enterprise, Miss Yvonne Xavier to attend our Zimmer family's banquet tonight!"

Many turned their eyes toward Yvonne.

Rumor has it that the new CEO was keeping a low profile. Many of the company affairs were decided solely by Yvonne. She was of a high rank, but they did not expect her to be young and enchanting.

When she stood next to Wendy, they both looked like two lotus flowers on a single stem. This attracted the attention of all the men in the hall. Even Senior Zimmer who could not perform anymore in bed felt that his second spring had been revived. (2)

They might be beautiful on the outside, but what shocked everyone there was that they both had appeared together in the hall!

The whole hall of the Zimmer family's villa exploded! Although the family heads who had arrived knew that they both were coming, but to see them together with their own eyes gave them quite a big surprise. They stared at both of them with admiration until their eyes turned red.

They heard that whoever managed to sign a contract with York Enterprise within these few days would be on their way to cooperate with Yvonne.

They had initially thought that with just the naïve Wendy, she might not be able to have much say in York Enterprise. With Yvonne in the picture now, their influence combined might be just slightly under that of the secretive CEO?

"Who would have thought! Zack is indeed worthy to be the heir of the Zimmer family! We don't only have Manager Sorrell tonight; we even have Secretary Xavier in our midst!"

"We can't even imagine how powerful Zack's network is!"

"What a blessing to have a son like Zack. If my son is as ambitious, I would be willing to cut a few years off my life."

While the crowd were singing praises for him, Mandy was feeling restless. Wendy was very polite toward her today. She did not think that Wendy would come over to the Zimmer family which undoubtedly made her feel embarrassed. If Zack managed to obtain the investment money later, she would lose her rights to say anything within the Zimmer family. She might even be chased out of the house. It was not impossible.

"Come this way ladies, your seats are here. We have specially reserved center seats at the main table for you." Senior Zimmer was widely smiling when he went forward with his hand in a welcome gesture.

Wendy and Yvonne's eyes met. They seemed to not know what to do.

After a while, Wendy coughed lightly and said, Senior, we appreciate your hospitality. We've come today only to pass some things to Zack. You don't need to be so modest. We will leave once business is settled."

Things? What else could it be if not for the investment contract?

Senior Zimmer was over the moon and laughed out loud. "Secretary Xavier, Manager Sorrell, people say that once you enter the door, you are a guest. Since it is dinner time now, and you've come just at this hour, why not eat a meal with us? If word gets out that you didn't eat with us, our Zimmer family name would have no more standing in the city of Niumhi..."

"How about we eat a meal together first? We can chat while having dinner together. We can always wait to discuss other matters after our meal. How does that sound?"

Senior Zimmer looked at them from head to toe while he spoke. Both women's presence, figures and faces were indeed excellent. They even had high ranks in York Enterprise. If he could have one of them as his granddaughter-in-law, the Zimmer family would have struck a gold mine. Of course, if he could obtain both, the benefits would naturally be immense.
