Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas

Chapter 67

Gina.

You see, there is a big difference between getting to know that some people are just so evil and then realizing that someone so close to you is capable of such evilness.

It’s one thing for criminals to be caught and taken to prison, where they meet people just like them, but what happens to their families while they are making new friends in jail?

They suffer the consequences of their relatives’ bad decisions.

Even though a few people might physically attack them on the way to disrespect them and liken them to the condemned, There is the majority who don’t say a thing to you, but their actions speak louder than words.

You can tell they despise your mere presence by the bombastic side eye, the flinching of their nostrils, and the sudden clearing of their throat whenever you pass by; that is not what one wishes to experience.

It’s been two days since I got to know that Lucas Amel is my father, and the fact that I have his DNA flowing through my veins makes me wish it was never so.

It’s been hard for me to sleep properly at night because I see his face. He’s beating me and saying all sorts of degrading things to me.

I can remember how he asked his guards to wrap up my body when he thought I was dead. Honestly, I wish I didn’t have to remember any of it.

Thinking of the fact that he killed my mother and also almost killed me makes my skin crawl and makes me boil in anger.

Despite his being locked up in the dungeon, I sometimes fear that he might come out to finish what he has started.

Yes, I do appreciate Lucia getting to tell me the truth, but honestly, I wish I could just lock this memory away and not remember anything about him. I want to go to sleep and wake up not remembering any of this ever happened.

“Is that what you want, mistress?” I heard a familiar voice ask from behind me.

Even though it should feel strange and a little frightening to her to talk in my room, considering that my door was locked. As it has been for the past two days, I wasn’t scared or anything; it just felt so peaceful.

I turned to see that it was Lucia, and as always, her presence brought sudden serenity to the room.

Hearing her call me mistress made me smile a little, which was a good thing because this was the first time I was smiling since I got to know about my evil father.

“I am not a mistress,” I said quietly.

Since all these bad things happened because of my evil father, I have been wondering if I am fit to be called the triplet mate.

Think of it: when words get out that my father committed all these evil deeds, would the people still want me to be their Luna? Or would they just put up appearances in my presence and castigate me when I am not there?

“I’m so sorry I had to make you relive those horrible consequences of your father’s actions,” Lucia said in a very subtle voice.

Her voice brought me back from my ocean of thoughts.

“He is not my father,” I said quietly to her.

I would rather not be associated with him; the things he has done and is willing to do for money, power, and fame make me so irritated just by hearing his name.

“Yeah, I can understand; that was the reason I allowed him to do what he did to you. By trying to kill you, he took away his rights from you as your father. This way, you can choose your fate,” she said in a calm, comforting voice.

“I don’t want my Omega family to know of this; I don’t want them to ever think that I am not their child. They are coming to know of this would shatter them; they brought me up with so much care and love. I want them to always be happy,” I said to Lucia.

“Whatever you want, Gina, but I also have a request to ask of you, she said,” gently taking my hand into hers.

“What is it?” I questioned her while glancing into her eyes.

“It’s about your friends; I know you have asked them to give you some time to think about all that has happened. But I think you should start getting to know them more because they need you now more than ever. The pack has suffered so much in the past couple of days that they require you to stand with them in rebuilding it. I will be back in two moons; I am certain that allows all the time you need to pick your rightful mate,” she said.

The implication of her words hit me hard. I have never really thought about picking one out of the three brothers.

Even though I have a specific reason for liking all three of them, I feel more alive and happy when I am with all three of them.

I don’t mean to sound selfish, but aside from Derrick, who has in the past disrespected the bond we share, I don’t have any other reason to not want them all as friends.

“May I ask you a question?” I asked calmly.

“Yes, you can,” she answered.

“Did he do it?” I questioned.

She smiled as she gently patted my hand.

“Some things are not always the way they seem; listen to your heart, and you will find all the answers you need,” she said.

And honestly, I have never listened to my heart since I caught him cheating on me with Gwen. Maybe because I find it very difficult to get past the image of Gwen being seated on top of him.

Moreover, I noticed that this pain was not as intense as the first one, and thinking of it now, he never denied cheating on her the first time. I mean, if he was open about admitting his faults then, then why would he want to lie about them now?

“I’m sorry; please forgive me,” Gwen said to Samuel, who had come to check on how she was doing.

She was rushed down to the clinic after her sudden scream alerted everyone.

“I bear no grudges against you, Gwen; I may have in the past, but not anymore,” Samuel said to her.

From her appearance, one could tell she had gone through a lot since she lost her pup.

“I lied,” she said quietly.

“What did you lie about?” Samuel inquired.

“The baby—I know I said the baby wasn’t yours, but the truth is, it was your baby,” she said as tears rained down from her eyes.

Samuel is surprised and saddened to know that the pup was his, but why did she have to lie in the first place?

“Why?” he questioned.

“For the obvious reason, I wanted more money, power, and fame, just like I have been taught by my father. With Derrick dead, I knew it would be difficult for anyone to believe that it was not his baby I was carrying.

I felt his parents’ and brothers’ hearts might soften towards me once they knew I was carrying their late brother’s pup. So, I lied to you so you could take me back to them,” she said, her heart aching more than she could ever express.

Samuel’s heart was torn just listening to how despicable she could go to attain power and fame.

“I am also sorry; I can’t allow you to continue to stay here; I don’t want you anywhere close to my Luna. At daybreak, I will have some guards take you back home,” he said to her as he walked out of the clinic.

He soon got to his room, and despite trying to tell himself that there was nothing he could do to bring back his dead pup, he couldn’t help but mourn his baby.

His eyes were blurred by hot tears as he tried to keep them from spilling. Just then, he picks up Rebecca’s scent.

She had earlier complained of having a fever and a mild headache and had gone to see her doctor for a test.

As soon as she walked into the room, holding on to a piece of paper, she noticed the sadness in Samuel’s eyes and got worried.

“Hey, are you alright?” She questioned.

“Not really,” he admitted to her.

“What is it?” She inquired.

“She said the baby was mine, and I can’t help but feel guilty that I may have unknowingly killed my unborn baby,” he said, his voice breaking with every word.

It was no news that Samuel had been down since Gwen lost her baby. He felt his rejection of her may has caused her to lose the pregnancy.

He felt awful because he has always felt indebted to the triplets for sparing his life that night. He was going to make sure she returned to her pack safely, to unite the baby with his father, who he had just been told was dead.

“Oh my God, I am so sorry about that,” Rebecca said to him as she threw his hand around his neck while secretly trying to hide the paper she was holding.

“What’s that?” Samuel questioned her as he noticed the paper in her hand.

“I don’t think now is the right time for this,” she said, but curiosity got the better of Samuel as he was desperate to know what was wrong with her.

Was her sickness severe? Was she dying? He panicked as he opened the paper with shaking fingers.

As his eyes quickly scan through the result, he is amazed to read the part where it says she was eight weeks pregnant.

“You are pregnant,” he said as if he were announcing the news to her as he excitedly picked her up from the floor and happily spun her around.

“I love you, Rebecca,” he said as he dropped her back on the floor and gently took possession of her lips in a soft, gentle k**s that was heartfelt.
