Chapter 68: 68

Akash POV

Mansion was beautifully decorated. All guests present were chit chatting with each other. Maa and

Ritika were in the working kitchen. Dad and I were attending the guest.

I was always watching Sanaya's every moment. Sometimes she's looking at Angel with jealous. I can

clearly see the hidden smirk in her eyes. I just hope she didn't create any problem in the function

otherwise today is the last day of her life. I sighed looking at my angel, she is looking very beautiful.

Her hand full of beautiful golden bangles.

After 30 minutes .........

The function ended very peacefully. I was very happy. Everyone blessed angel and I for a healthy child

and a happy life. I was on cloud nine. My angel look so happy and very much tried. So I called Ritika to

take Angel safely to our bedroom. She nodded they went upstairs.

Everything went as per our plan and luckily Sanaya didn't create any scene, atleast till now.

I'm attending the guest and they were leaving one by one. All of a sudden my heart ached. I felt

something bad is going to happen. Then I saw Ritika serving juices to guest.

Shit! What the hell is Ritika doing here? I told her to stay with my Angel. My eyes immediately started

searching for Sanaya but I couldn't find her in the living room. Fear gripped in my heart. I started

running towards my bedroom to check upon my angel.

All of a sudden, I heard my Angel screaming my name "Akashhhhh!!" I looked up and saw my Angel

falling down the stairs.

"Angelllll..!!!" I shouted and ran to save her but her baby bump hit the stairs railings before she hit the

floor I could manage and pull her into my arms. All got shocked and gasped. She's is screaming and

clutching her stomach. I immediately lifted Angel in my arms and placed her in the car. Before I could

start the car engine, she held my hand and started speaking painfully......

"I'm Aaaaaaaaaaa sorry Akash, I didn't Aaaaaaaaaaa listen yo..your words about Aaaaaaaaaaa

Sanaya", she told me in between her screams and she fainted.

"Angel, wake up please. Nothing will happen to you" I held her hand tightly and started driving to the

hospital.

Soon we reached hospital and she was unconscious. I carried her in my arms. Doctor took angel to

ICU and I was standing out sobbing. I was seeing my angel through the glass window.

Tears were rolling down my cheeks continuously. I was crying sitting in front of the ICU. Angel was

inside lying unconscious. My family members also reached the hospital. Shanthi maa, Avinash, Ritika

and dad were trying to console me but all their effort were in vain.

After an hour, doctor came out. "What happened Doctor? My wife and my baby, both are fine right?

Please tell me" I asked her fearfully.

"Mr Mehra, both your wife and your baby's condition is very critical. If we don't get the baby out now,

your wife will die. We have to immediately do a C-section" doctor said and my breadth held for a

minute.

Maa came to me and held my shoulder. I saw tears dripping down from everyone's eyes. Angel, atleast

"Doctor, my daughter and my grandchild will be fine right?" Dad asked the doctor nervously.

"I'm sorry, I can't assure you anything, Sir. We're trying our level best. But for now, you to have to rely

on god for this" doctor said went inside the operation theater. My whole world was spinning around me.

Rely on god?? I broke down and fell on the floor crying badly. She's my life, my everything. Since she

got pregnant, she and our child were the only priority in my life. I can't even imagine a single day

without them.

"I can't live without them maa. If she doesn't make it, I vow to end my own life. I don't deserve to live

without her maa" I told crying. She hugged me tight knowing my situation.

"Akash, don't say like this. Everything will be fine. Please have faith in god. I know my Dharani. She's a

brave girl. She'll come back to you safely. Your love will bring her back. Just don't lose hope beta" mom

consoled me.

"This is all because of me. If I didn't get Sanaya out of jail, Dharani will not be in this state" Avinash

blamed himself.

"No, its because of me. If I didn't leave Dharani all alone and stayed by her side, my friend wouldn't

have been lying unconscious here" Ritika balmed herself.

I wanted to tell them that it's not their fault, but I didn't have strength to do so, knowing that my love of

life is lying in her death bed.

I saw the prayer room nearby. I stood up weakly and went there. "Tell me god, what's my mistake? I

always prayed you not to let anything happen to my family. If something happens to my angel and

baby, I can't live. I can't live without her, I would die without her. Please save my family. I beg you god,

please. Angel always had faith in you, though you made her go through hell in her childhood. Just now

we started living our life and experiencing heaven in each other's love. Please don't take away our

happiness, I beg you" I prayed, joining my hands and cried.

"Son" I heard my dad calling me. I turned and hugged him.

"Dad, I want my wife back to me, safely" I hold him.

"Relax son, nothing will happen to my daughter and grand child. Please have faith on your mom. She

will save her daughter in law and her grand child" dad told me, crying.

The two hours was hell to me. I wish I can go to the operation theater and hold my angel in my arms,

not letting her go away from me.

"Akash, please come soon. We heard the baby crying from the operation theater" Ritika screamed and

I rushed to the operation theater.

MY BABY!! I heard the crying sound! I sighed in relief. Thank you god! thank you mom!

I was waiting outside. I heard my baby's crying voice clearly. My heart filled with happiness. My trance

was broken. Doctor came out of the operation theater. I ran to them.

"Doctor, how is my wife? My baby?" I asked her hopefully.

"Your wife gave birth to your son in very difficult situation. Your son is fine but sorry, we couldn't save

your wife. She lost a lot of blood after giving birth. We are really sorry. Please take care of your son"

Doctor said and went away. My smile changed into a frown. My world shattered and I staggered back,

hearing the doctor words.

My angel is died?

Dad, Shanthi maa, Ritika, Avinash were also crying badly.

"We couldn't save your wife" It was replaying in my mind again and again.

"No! No! No! Angelllllllll" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I ran inside the operation theater and saw my

angel lying like a lifeless body.

This can't be happening.

I can't lose my angel... I won't!

I sat on her bed, lifted and cradled her lifeless upper body, so that her head was resting against my

chest. I wrapped my arms around her.

"Don't do this to me Angel, please don't scare me like this", I said.

"Angel, you can't do this to me. You can't leave me and our baby boy!" I cried badly.

"I want you angel" I sobbed.

"Breathe for me! Breathe for our baby boy" I told her.

"Come on, my stubborn Angel! You gotta breathe with me. For me. For our baby" I ordered.

All of a sudden, I heard my baby boy's crying voice. I went to my baby's cradle swing. I saw him. His

black almond eyes found mine and he stopped crying, looking at me.

My breath got knocked. Seeing his round face and big almond eyes, full chubby cheeks, my lips went

into a automatic smile. He smiled cutely, as only a baby can smile a sweet unblemished by the hurts of

life.

His miniature fingers grasped mine and held it tight. I held him to my chest tightly.

My baby boy is freshly arrived from heaven. Now my boy will bring his mother back.

I went towards my Angel, before carefully placing my baby boy beside her on her bed. I clasped our

fingers tightly.

"Angel, open your eyes. See our baby boy besides you. He is holding your hand angel. Feel his touch

angel. Our baby boy needs you. I need you. Our family needs you. Please don't leave us. Come back

for us angel" I told crying badly.

All of a sudden, our baby start crying. "Listen to his cry angel. Follow his voice and come back to me

and your baby, please. We can't live without you...!! Please come back to your Akash!"

"Angel..." I started sobbing.

"Come on, angel, please. Breathe for us" I cried as I held onto her hand tight.

Mom, please don't take my angel away from me, please. I closed my eyes and started sobbing.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Suddenly I heard a beep sound. I opened my eyes and saw the monitor beeping. My sob seized

immediately.

"Angel?" I called. Suddenly she left out a huge breath.

"Doctorrrrrr" I shouted and they came running to check her pulse.

"Oh God! She's so strong. She's a great fighter. She's back for you Mr.Akash" the doctor said in shock

and immediately moved into action. A smile crept on my lips.

"Thank god!" I exhaled and held my baby boy to my arms and sobbed even more. I was immediately

sent outside as doctor was giving treatment to my angel.

My family members immediately rushed over me. The baby was passed on from person to person,

each holding him, cuddling him, before carefully placing the baby in the arms of my Dad.

"Bundle of joy" Dad told with happy tears.

"I would never let this precious bundle of joy go away from me, no matter what comes, I will always

protect him. Even in the death point." I vowed myself looking at my baby boy sleeping face.

After an hour doctor came out of the ICU with a huge grin.

"Your wife is really fighter. Her heartbeat and pulse are stable. She's going to be okay and will recover

completely very soon" the doctor said with a smile and left.

"I told you naa Akash beta, God will never let us down because his love is unconditional. When you

can't put your prayer into words, God hears your heart" Shanthi maa told and caressed my hair softly.

I prayed silently and thanked God for this second chance.
