“When are you planning to stay there?”

Lieo and I got startled by Lance’s sudden interruption.

“Would you want to come inside to continue our talk?” I asked Lieo.

He nodded and smile. “Sure, I think it’s still a long talk.”

We both went out of the car before Lance say things again.

“Good thing the car wasn’t moving,” Lance commented upon seeing us out of the car.

I glared at him, I know what he mean by that. I love my cousin so much but sometimes I want to strangle his neck.

He just shook his neck and went inside the house.

I ask our maid to prepare us wine and light snacks.

“You’re still not done for the day?” Lance snorted.

“Will you please shut up Lance? We have a very important thing to discuss.” I said and ask him to leave us alone.

I turned my eyes to Lieo and I can see the amusement in his eyes while watching me and Lance clash.

I cleared my throat. “Shall we continue? You said that you fired her that night but as per Andrew, Anne told her that you rejected her that day that is why she was on that bar.”

“I did that too,” Lieo said.

My lips parted. Lieo can be cruel sometimes.

“Don’t give that look. I’m sure anyone will do that if they were in my situation.” Lieo said in his defense.

I agree with him. No one will take lightly the situation, especially in the corporate world. What Anne did is considered as a fraud by false representation. She can be sued for that.

“But how can you reject her after you fired her? That’s too cruel.” I can’t help but react.

Lieo’s lips settled in thin line before he pursed it. He looks like he was remembering something awful.

“I am not cruel. She pushed me to my limit.” He said trying to control his anger.

My brow furrowed. What did Anne do for Lieo to have that kind of look? He looks angry and betrayed. Well, he was indeed betrayed by Anne.

“What did she do?” The curiosity in my voice and face is very visible.

He look at me and sighed. “She claims that she only did all those things because she loves me. I already expected her to say that. But her statement only proves that Mich’s allegation is right. She falsifies his work experiences so that she can work in our company to target me.”

“As per that woman, she saw me at an event. She fell for me at first sight.” Lieo added.

“But what if she really did?” I butted in.

He looks at me with a ‘are you serious right now?’ expression.

“It’s not impossible you know?! You are one of the sought-after bachelors in the country!” I exclaimed.

Lieo chuckled. “I know what you mean but Anne is a different case. She has a proven record of being a golddigger.”

I sighed. I know I resent her but I really considered her as a friend before and I can’t believe what she really is. I’m sure Iya will be heartbroken when she found out all this.

“Is that why you look so angry with her?” I asked.

Lieo’s eyes got intense. “No, that’s not the reason. As I have told you, I already expected her to say that.”

I look at him with confused looks. There’s more? “What did she do?”

“When I told her that I never liked her-”

“Wait you never like her?! I thought you did!” I butted in again because I got shocked by his statement.

Lieo shook his head. “I never said I like her. You were the one who claimed that I like her. I just let you believe that I do like her because you were in pain at that. It’s my way of comforting you.”

My lips parted. He never like Anne?! Is that why he never make any effort to win Anne’s heart because he had no plan of doing it in the first place since he never had feelings for her.NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

If I think about it, Lieo never initiates to talk about Anne. It was always me, and he never look interested in her at all!!! How can I be this clueless?!

“Okay. Thank you for your consideration and I’m sorry for pushing Anne to you. If you happen to fall for her and find out her true color then I will be the one responsible for that.” I said now that I know her true feelings for Anne.

“Silly. I will never for her. She was never my type. And it will never be your responsibility because aside from you, my sister Thea also rooting her for me.”

My eyes widen a fraction as I remember her sister. “Oh, yes she likes Anne for you. What did she say about Anne after knowing her true intentions?”

“She was hurt and felt betrayed. My mom wants to sue and blocked list her in all our connections but I stop her from doing that. That’s too cruel.” Lieo said.

I smiled at Lieo, I always knew that he has a good heart. “So what did she do to make you this angry?” I asked again as I noticed that our topic shifted.

“She accused you of seducing me. She claims that if it weren’t for you, she will have won my heart. She knew that I like you.” He said in a serious voice.

“What the hell?! I never seduce you!” I exclaimed.

Lieo chuckled. “Of course you did not. It was so easy to fall for your charm. You don’t need to do anything to make me fall for you. Being yourself is more than enough for me to like you.”

I slightly shifted on my seat, feeling uncomfortable. Lieo’s feelings are still new to me. I don’t know how to react to that.

Lieo gave me a warm and knowing smile. “You don’t need to say something. I already knew that I will never have a chance at you. You were madly in love with Andrew to spare a glance at me.”

My eye got teary after hearing those words from him. Lieo is a great guy. Any girl will be lucky to have him. It’s just that, Andrew already owns my heart.

“Thank you Lieo for liking me and I’m sorry for not being able to like you back. You are a great guy and I wish and pray for you to find the woman who will give you the love that you deserve.” I said to him with full sincerity.

Lieo held my hand. “Thank you and you don’t need to apologize. It was my choice to like you but I will never ask anything in return.”

I nodded. “I know. That’s how great of a man you are.”

All the things that I heard about Anne are not something I could overlook. I need to do something about it, especially now that she was involved with Andrew. I can see how much Andrew trusts her. He needs to know all this. But how?

“Andrew has the right to know all this,” I said to Lieo.

Lieo nodded in agreement. “I tried but I failed because he knew my feelings for you. But you can tell him. He will surely listen and believe in you.”

“Yes, but if Andrew found out that the information came from you then he might not believe it,” I said.

“Unless you gave him proof which I have.”

We both turned to Lance who suddenly pop out.
