Chapter 767
Upon stepping into the bustling room, Selene felt a bit overwhelmed by the crowd. Her eyes scanned the faces until they landed on Flora, and she headed straight for her.
Kruz, who was sitting next to Flora, graciously offered his seat to Selene. After all, both women weren't too familiar with the others, and Selene felt more comfortable sitting with Flora. Handing her the menu, Kruz smiled and said, "Here you go. We've already ordered, but pick anything you like. Don't be shy."
Selene, not one to be overly formal, took the menu and chose a few of her favorite dishes.
"Flora, how about we hit the race track again today? I'll bring out my new car. It's got a top-of-the-line engine that's sure to impress," Adrian eagerly suggested, with the others quickly chiming in.
"Yeah, Flora, once you're done here, let's go for a spin. How about you ride with me this time? Maybe you can give me some pointers," another added with a chuckle.
"Would you all shut up? Do you think Flora isn't exhausted after a whole day of exams?" Kruz scolded them. "Forget about racing. I'll take her home myself."
"Mr. Kruz, didn't your mom confiscate your car? And now you're stopping us from having fun? That's not very fair."
"Ha, Mr. Kruz, that hit where it hurts, buddy."
Flora listened to their banter, a small smile playing on her lips, while Selene could hardly believe the scene unfolding before her.
These young men were heirs from prestigious families on Lone Island. Mr. Atticus had once bent over backward trying to win their favor, without so much as getting a chance to meet them. Yet here she was, dining with them. What surprised her even more was their demeanor around Flora. These distinguished young heirs acted like affectionate kittens vying for attention in her presence.

After the meal, Flora and Selene returned to the race event's infield.
Kruz had just dropped them off when he received a call from Ethan.
"Has that woman left yet?"
"You mean Flora."
"Am I supposed to call someone who slept through the exam 'Flora'? Impossible!" Ethan snorted coldly on the other end. His impression of Flora couldn't be worse!
As a competitor, sleeping through the exam was not only irresponsible to herself but also to her team. He couldn't stand such behavior
That's why he had refused Kruz's invitation to dine with them. Dragging the team down and still having the nerve to eat out?
"I can't understand how Connor could fall for such a woman..." he muttered in disbelief. Flora was even weaker than he had imagined. "Kruz, let me tell you, I really don't like her!"

Elsewhere, Abbey, followed closely by Elijah, strode into the medical competition organizers' backstage area.
The staff greeted her respectfully, "Ms. Abbey."
Abbey hummed in acknowledgment and inquired, "Have the results been compiled?"
"The results are in and currently being tallied."
"Show me," she demanded.
The staff respectfully stepped aside, allowing Abbey to take a seat.
"Miss, you might as well start with the last place. I bet that Flora's at the bottom!" Elijah sneered.
Hearing that, the corners of Abbey's lips curled slightly. She scrolled directly to the bottom of the
computer screen, convinced than et
Flora's results wouldn't be among the top. She had heard about it.
Flora had fallen asleep during the exam and had randomly filled in answers for the last half hour. Frankly, Abbey was surprised at Flora's level of self-defeat.
But it suited her just fine.
The worse Flora performed, the better.
It would show Connor the gap between Flora and herself.
