Chapter 764
I thought we'd snagged a dark horse, but it turned out to be dead weight. If they were part of Team Austenberg, they'd be livid and ready to tear Flora apart.
When Kruz, Adrian, and the rest showed up at the event venue, they overheard competitors from various countries talking about Flora's bold move in the exam hall. They exchanged bewildered glances.
"Are they talking about our Flora?"
"Seems like it."
After a round of incredulous looks, they came to one conclusion: Flora was something else.
Despite never having participated in a medical competition, they had never heard of anyone daring to sleep during the contest. Just for that sheer audacity, they couldn't help but admire Flora.
"Listen, when Flora gets here, don't even think about mentioning the competition, okay?"
Since Flora didn't do well, she was probably already in a lousy mood. They were there to cheer her up, not to drag her down with bad memories.
"Relax, we've got it."
Being a bunch of privileged slackers, they knew all too well the feeling of bombing an exam and wouldn't dream of rubbing it in Flora's face. If only they'd known about Flora's struggles earlier, they could've shared some of their survival tips-like when in doubt, pick the shortest options if there are three long ones, and vice versa; or just always go with B.
"Will you guys knock it off?" Kruz nudged them with his knee. "That's my Flora! Mine! You all are way too comfortable calling her 'Flora.""
"Mr. Kruz, you need to get a grip. Flora isn't just yours; she's everyone's Flora!"
"Exactly!"
"Hey, Flora's here!"
Adrian was the first to spot Flora approaching and called out. Instantly, the group rushed to greet her.
"Flora, are you tired? The exam was so long. You must be exhausted. Here, have some warm water; it's good for you."
"Flora, give me your backpack. I'll carry it for you."
"Flora, what do you feel like eating for lunch? Italian, American, or something else?"
The boys surrounded Flora, showering her with care and attention.
A staff member nearby rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
Was he seeing things correctly? Were these the same notorious Overlords? They looked more like eager puppies now.
When he first saw them, he was quite apprehensive, wondering why these Overlords had shown up, fearing they might cause trouble. But now... Who was this girl that had them so smitten?
"There's a nice Italian place upstairs, let's go there!" suggested Kruz.
Flora thought for a moment and then said, "Let's have Italian."
"Alright, Flora wants Italian, so Italian it is! Let's head to the one on the third floor!"
Adrian whistled, and the group, with Flora in their midst, made their way to the third floor for Italian, leaving Kruz once again completely sidelined.
Kruz and the others had originally planned to take Flora somewhere special to eat, but with the results being announced in the afternoon and all contestants required to be present by two o'clock, they had to settle for dining at the venue.
The venue's restaurant spanned three floors.

The first and second floors were reserved for the contestants from various countries.
The third floor was for the use of the Lone Island event organizers.
Kruz, Adrian, and the others, being influential figures on Lone Island, naturally took Flora to dine on the third floor.
The third floor featured private dining rooms, a serene ambiance, a more extensive menu, and superior service.Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
"Flora, aren't those your team members?" Kruz nudged her while sitting beside her.
Following his gesture, Flora looked down from the window. She saw Joy and the others. Mr. Tanner and Selene were also there, still queuing up for food, with a very long line ahead of them.
"Mhm."
Flora withdrew her gaze and responded indifferently.
"Should we invite them up here?" suggested Adrian.
