Chapter 1255
"I didn't do anything," Jacob muttered, scratching his head in confusion. He was clever and sensible, so how could he have possibly upset anyone? He hadn't wronged a soul! Even Flora, who was usually so reserved, seemed to like him a lot. "All right, the searches are done. Now, I'll announce the instructors for each team," Rory announced, holding up a list. "Team One, instructor Max; Team Two, instructor Leo; Team Three, instructor Hawthorn... Team Ten, instructor Summer." Jacob was in Team Three with Hawthorn as his instructor. Luckily, the one who'd confiscated his stuff earlier, Summer, was with Team Ten. Jacob let out a sigh of relief.
He was grateful he wasn't assigned to Summer. Although he wasn't sure how he might have offended him, Summer's earlier behavior made Jacob uneasy. He couldn't imagine having him as a coach-who knows what he might've pulled? What Jacob didn't realize was that the real challenge was Hawthorn.
Hawthorn's calculating eyes landed on Jacob and Carly. It was quite the coincidence that he ended up as their instructor. This made carrying out Flora's request all the easier.
Kenneth adored Sydney and would heed almost anything she said, so long as it didn't clash with his principles. Hawthorn was keen to win Sydney's favor, hoping she'd put in a good word for him with Kenneth, giving him a boost up the ladder. Unfortunately for Jacob and Carly, they were about to become stepping stones on his ambitious path. The start of the elite family assessment was also the start of their nightmare.

"Flora, you're amazing!" Mae exclaimed with delight. No wonder she was a world-renowned champion!
Flora smiled gently, habitually pulling a piece of candy from her pocket. Mae suddenly recognized it.
"You like these too?" Mae asked. "Jacob's a fan as well; he packed plenty in his backpack before he left!"
Flora chuckled. Of course, she knew. all about the stash in the backpack. But unfortunately for Jacob, he wouldn't get to enjoy any of it. It had

"Oh, by the way, Flora, now that you've sorted out my migraines, I have a few friends who'd like your help as well. Do you have some time?"
"Sure," Flora nodded. Mae had been kind to her, so she was more than willing to help her friends.
Mae beamed with joy, growing even fonder of Flora. "Do you have time this afternoon? I can call them over."
"Okay," Flora agreed. Mae was

"Flora, meet Chelsea, Mrs. Ran, Laura..." Mae introduced them one by one, but the ladies waved away the formalities. "No need for that, just call us auntie."
They were all hoping for Flora's help, especially after seeing Mae looking so much better, headache-free, and with a glowing complexion. They were envious.

"Yes! Exactly!" Chelsea exclaimed, amazed by Flora's insight without so much as a check-up. Flora truly was a miracle worker.
Just then, Chelsea's phone rang. She glanced at the caller ID and made an apologetic gesture towards Flora before answering, "Hi, Tara? What's up?"
