Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1252

"Sure thing." Mae smiled and nodded, not wanting to burst Flora's bubble. But truth be told, she wasn't expecting much. If even Tara couldn't fix her headaches, how could Flora?Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

They headed back to Mae's room, where Flora took her time to examine Mae thoroughly. Joey and Gerald were there too, having heard about Flora's reputation as the global champ in the Mortal World. They were curious to see if her medical skills lived up to the hype. "So, what's the verdict?" Joey asked eagerly once Flora finished her examination.

"It's an old condition, so it's not exactly a walk in the park to cure," Flora admitted honestly. Mae had anticipated this, so she was pretty chill about it. She knew her condition wasn't something simple to deal with. Joey and Gerald looked a bit downcast. But then Flora added, "That's the case for most people."

A sly smile crossed her lips. "For me, though, it's actually quite "

"Simple."

Mae's eyes widened in surprise. Joey and Gerald quickly turned their attention to Flora. They had scoured the entire Martial World for someone to cure Mae's headaches, and here was Flora claiming it was 'simple.'

"Ma'am, if you could lie down, I'll do some acupuncture. Every three days, and in no more than ten days, your headaches will be history," Flora assured gently. "And I promise, they'll never come back."

"Seriously?!" Joey burst out before Mae could even react. Every time Mae had a headache, Joey felt it in his soul and wished he could bear the pain for her. Hearing Flora say there was a chance to cure Mae's headaches, he was over the moon! Gerald kept his cool exterior, but his eyes showed his eager excitement.

"Absolutely," Flora nodded. "I'll whip up a recipe for a special dish to be served at every meal. I guarantee, not only will the headaches disappear, but you'll also look all radiant and ten years younger!"

Even in the Martial World, beauty fades, and for Mae, her appearance was everything. Flora's words made her eyes sparkle, and she almost forgot about her headache!

"Flora, are you really that amazing?"

Her heart raced a little faster.

"Ma'am, just lie down first, let me work on that headache," Flora chuckled.

Mae nodded and lay down on the bed. Flora lit some aromatic candles to help Mae relax, then pulled out her acupuncture needles. Joey and Gerald leaned in to watch.

They didn't know much about

medicine, but they'd seen their fair share of acupuncture. Flora's hands were rock-steady, her movements quick and precise, like a dance Her slender, fair fingers gently held the glinting silver needles, as if painting a picture.

The first session took just twenty minutes, and with the soothing candles burning, Mae drifted into a deep sleep. Flora put away the

needles and jotted down a recipe for a therapeutic dish.

"Let her sleep it off. She'll wake up in a couple of hours. Here's the recipe for tonight's dish," Flora said, handing over the paper.

"Is this just for her, or can anyone have it?" Joey asked, tucking the recipe into his pocket like it was gold.

"Anyone can eat it. It's especially good for women, but men will get a nice health boost too."

"Great!" Joey nodded, thrilled. "I'll make sure the whole Gilbert family eats like this from tomorrow."

Flora gave him a knowing glance. "Mr. Gilbert, could you make mine separately?" "Huh?" Joey was taken aback.

"This therapeutic dish is a bit on the bland side, and I, well, I prefer my food with a bit more kick." Flora confessed with a smile. After all, therapeutic dishes aren't known for being flavorful or spicy.
