Chapter 82 I Don’t Want to Cut the Graves Family Slack
After Sam left, there were only two people left in the spacious
office. Huston sat behind his desk and did not move. Nora quietly sized up the room and her gaze was unconsciously drawn to the man.
Nora thought that Jerry was one of the elites, but when she saw Huston, she realized that he really had all the excellence.
When they heard Eddy say that Huston was only thirty-two years old, for people of their age, she thought he was nothing more than a young man. However, when she saw him in person, a sense of oppression washed over her, causing her to unconsciously feel a sense of reverence.
“I have a meeting in 20 minutes. Mrs. Graves doesn’t have an appointment, so let’s make it short.” Huston stood up and go sit down on the sofa. He pointed at the seat opposite him and said, “Sit down.”

She and Eddy only had one son, and most of the assets were under his name. If he really did that, wouldn’t it be equivalent to giving all the assets of the Graves family to her?
The more Nora thought about it, the more she felt that Huston had done it on purpose. Her tone became colder as she said, “Mr. Lloyd, if I gave that to her, what’s the point of having this
video?”
“Of course it’s useful.” Huston ‘specially’ explained to Nora. His tone was slow, and every word fell on her heart. “The former is only compensation. If this video is released, I’m afraid that Mr. Graves will have to bear criminal responsibility.”
Suppressing her uneasiness, she pretended
to be calm and said, “Mr. Lloyd, as a lawyer, you can’t just say that with your mouth. Do you have any evidence to prove that my son instigated them?”
“How did you know I didn’t?” Huston looked at Nora. His deep black eyes were like sharp daggers that could pierce through all disguises and pierce into your weakest spot.
Nora took a deep breath and changed the topic. “What’s the benefit of Mr. Lloyd doing this? No matter what, she and Jerry are legally married. If this matter blows up, it won’t be easy for Mr. Lloyd to end it, right?”
When he heard this, a hint of a smile appeared on his face, but it was full of mockery. “If Mrs. Graves has any tricks to make me unable to clean up the mess, feel free to use them.”
Not only did Huston not take Nora seriously, but he also belittled the Graves Family. Huston’s relaxed and unhurried tone of voice made Nora unable to pretend to be calm any longer.
