Chapter 99: Let’s Boycott Her Play
Ethan sat in his office, watching the live broadcast. His eyes were full of admiration for his wife as she smiled in the face of such humiliating questions about her family and past. His blood boiled as the vultures asked and yelled over and over again but to no effect on Kylie.
When the red carpet ceremony finished, Ethan called Elliot, “Get the security team ready. Send them to protect Kylie.”
“Yes, Lord Ethan.”
Ethan understood that though things seemed to be running smoothly, there was an undercurrent below the calm sea.
After walking the red carpet, Faith and Kylie walked out with their heads down.
“Kylie, no matter what will happen, stays calm,” Faith recited worriedly. She hoped Khloe had not hired anyone actually dangerous.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
“Don’t worry. I’m ready.” There was an indifferent smile on Kylie’s face. She was going to regain what people owed her, and no one could scare her.
As they neared the pathway, a crowd was gathered on the external sidewalk.
Cameras started flashing while someone yelled out, “You’re not Khloe? Your figures look really similar!”
“Similar? Are you blind?” Another fan holding flowers in her arms pushed the one who was taking photos of Kylie. The person tripped over, dropping his camera on the ground while falling on someone else.
“People say that fans are the mirror of their idols. Kylie is good at destroying, so are her fans!”
“What are you saying! Kylie is just getting back what was owed to her!”
“She’s a thief! Kylie’s a thief!”
“Yeah, it’s a robbery. So what! You can tell Khloe to rob it back if she can…”
The two groups of fans were now quarreling fiercely, and a physical fight seemed to be imminent. Suddenly, someone stepped out from the crowd with a microphone, “Wow! Here we have Kylie Finch, who is inciting her fans to fight! Everybody come and watch…”
Kylie knew that these people were all hired by Khloe, so she had to keep a good image. Immediately taking her coat off and thrusting it to Faith, Kylie got in between the fighting crowd to separate the two groups of people. She then turned around and smiled at the phone, which was live broadcasting.
“I’m sorry for paying no attention to what I said and did, which led to a clash of fans. I apologize to all of you,” Kylie said innocently.
“Pay no attention? You’re indulging your fans on purpose! The one who should be here is Khloe, and you snatched her cover! Why don’t you apologize to her fans?”
“Yes! We all bought the tickets a few days in advance to see it. But we only saw you. Disgusting! What a waste of money!”
The voices of the fake fans became higher and higher, attracting more and more people to the crowd. Someone shouted, “Khloe worked hard to gain what she had today; everyone knows! But you, getting famous because of a scandal! You’re even cheaper than the network celebrities!”
“Don’t go to shoot the cover! Apologize to Khloe! Apologize to her fans!”
“Let’s boycott her plays!”
Screams and yells surrounded Kylie; the fans were starting to close in on both her and Angela, and for a second, Kylie started to feel claustrophobic. Taking deep breaths, Kylie closed her eyes and tried to calm herself down; she could do it, Kylie muttered to herself.
Breaking open into a wide smile, Kylie gazed directly at the person who held onto the camera.
“One should be responsible for her own actions. It was me who caused your camera to break. Therefore, I will take full responsibility.”
The girl who the broken camera belonged to was shocked and stunned into silence at Kylie’s confession. This was certainly not part of the plan; how were they supposed to act if Kylie started to be nice towards them?
Kylie smiled at the reactions of the two girls. The girl stood there, gaping at Kylie like a fish, almost making him laugh out loud.
Kylie continued, “Since you are Khloe’s fans, I can give you some of her photos as compensation if you would like?”
“Why would I want that…” The girl started to reply but immediately covered her mouth after realizing she had said something she should not have said. Immediately, Kylie’s and Faith’s eyes widened, more so for the camera than anything, as they already knew this was all fake. However, other people surrounding them started to realize that this girl was not Khloe’s fan and was most probably hired to cause trouble for Kylie Finch.
The crowd turned angrily towards the girl, and Kylie immediately stepped forward, trying to come in between the angry crowd and the young girl. Kylie yelped as she was yanked backward. Turning around in surprise, she saw that a few big men wearing black suits had shown up and were separating the crowd. As they helped Kylie walk forward, Faith said to Kylie, “You go, I have to go use the bathroom first.”
“Okay,” replied Kylie, looking calm and collected despite what had just happened.
“Why are you leaving? You took away your sister’s role, bitch.” The girl still shouted at Kylie, trying to cause more negative attention.
That’s it! Faith had enough! Turning back around towards the culprit, she shouted, “Do you know who is the real robber?” Faith smiled viciously.
“Of course it’s Kylie Finch. That bitch only knows how to use other actors to promote herself.”
Faith burst out, laughing at her girl’s desperation. “Okay, since you like blabbing, I will give you something to bark about!” Faith walked to the side where it was a bit quieter and called Kylie on her cell.
“Kylie, that bitch won’t shut up. She is causing others to lose their attention to you. This isn’t going well. She keeps on bitching about how you stole everything from Khloe!” Faith said to Kylie angrily.
Kylie was quiet as she thought. “It’s time to post that video,” she replied quietly.
“YES! Let those fans see what kind of person Khloe is. Let them know how much of a bitch she really is.” Faith hung up the phone and started typing a message on her phone quickly, “Post that video to Instagram, now!”
