Falling for my Ex-Fiancee’s Best friend

Who is she?

“Hold on, I’ll be right back.” With that, Nathan stood up and walked to the door to know who was behaving in such an uncivilized manner. With annoyance, he opened the door without asking who it was. Before seeing who it was, Silver rushed in like a wind which got Nathan and Demelza watching in shock.

“Slow down.” Nathan said to her trying to grab her by the arm but she was too fast and slipped.

“Who is she?” Silver questioned Nathan, pointing at Demelza like she had never seen her before.

“You asking me who she is? you’ve got amnesia, yeah?” Nathan responded in a savage tone.

“Ohh. Are you being rude to me because of that trash on your couch? Emphasis on the trash” she blurted out with no atom of respect.

“Why are you here?” Nathan asked her for clarity.

“To see you, baby, because I miss you.” She answered and walked towards Nathan. She held him by the shoulder and used her left hand to rub his chest downwards in a seductive way.

With irritation on Nathan’s face, she removed her hand over his shoulder and gently pushed her way.

“Really?” Silver shot at Nathan.

“Yeah. No, get out.” He declared with a stern face and his finger pointed towards the door.

Demelza remained on the couch watching them as she didn’t know what to make out of the whole drama. It felt like whenever things are going on well between her and Nathan, Silver always had a way of ruining it.

“And if I refuse?” Silver questioned arrogantly.

“I might have to throw you out, darling.” Nathan replied with a wry smile.

“I’ll love to watch you cry.” With that, Silver sat on the couch and crossed her legs with the thoughts that Nathan cannot do that.

Nathan gave her a grim look hoping that would be enough to make her leave but she was bent on being stubborn. He granted her a few seconds to get up but she kept looking at Demelza like they were rivals.

That got Nathan pissed off which made him violently throw her out no matter how hard she made a fuss about it.

After successfully dropping her outside, he shut the door and locked it immediately. Demelza giggled immediately and came back inside which surprised him. He was expecting her to be upset with Silver’s behavior but she was rather amused.

“Did you really do that?” she asked him, still laughing.

“Yeah, I did. Anything for you baby.” He responded to her question sounding very romantic which got Demelza surprised again as that was the second time in one morning.

“Get used to it.” He told her noticing how her facial expression went blank.

This time, she wasn’t sure what to make out of it all aside from the fact that she was trying to wrap herself around the whole morning. She was still in shock that he threw Silver out for her sake. The part that got her really surprised is that silver is a rich, classy elegant lady. She is one lady every man would want to present to friends as their partner but Nathan trashed her without second thoughts. Deep down she hoped it wouldn’t be just one bad dream again.

“Hey, what’s on your mind?”

Her thoughts were interrupted by Nathan’s voice which made her turn to look at him. Without saying a word, she kissed him deeply and they got into a little bit of romance which soon came to an end by Demelza’s talk.

“If I am moving in with you, I will have to go pick up some things at home.” She suggested but Nathan shook his head in disagreement.

“I don’t get it, why do you disagree with that?” she asked him with a little frown etched on her face.

“Leave the clothes you have there, then we’ll go shopping for the ones you’ll have here. That way, you do not have to pack clothes whenever you need to be in either house. What do you think about that?”

“Well, that is a good idea but I still have other things besides clothes I will need if I am to stay here. Plus, I still have to let my parents know where I’ll be, I won’t be at home. It’ll only be the proper thing to do because my dad will be worried sick about me.” Demelza explained to Nathan in a very calm way. He totally understood her point and he understood every bit of what she said.

“Alright, understood. I’ll take you home then to pick those things.”

“Are you sure about that?” Nathan seemed to be too nice to her which she was yet to get used to.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

“Yeah, a quick shower so that we can go about our day.”

“yeah”

With that, they both stood up and got prepared to go out. After a few minutes, they were done and Nathan drove to her house. In less than an hour, they got to Demelza’s house.

“I’ll wait here. Take your time.”

“Sure?” she asked him to be sure he will be comfortable waiting in the car.”

“Sure.” He responded and she went into the house.

“Jesus Demelza, where have you been?” Demelza heard her father’s voice echo in her head.

“Demelza, we raised you better than this,” her step mum added.

“I’m sorry,” Demelza apologized first before saying anything.

“This is not about an apology, explain yourself girl.” Thorpes demanded.

“I’ve been at Nathan’s house.” Demelza said, intertwining her fingers like a teenager who’s about to be grounded.

“Nathan? Again? Why do you do this to yourself?” Thorpes asked her obviously hating the idea of Nathan in the story again.

“Dad, it is different this time.” Demelza tried to defend Nathan.

“Different?” he asked rhetorically but she answered.

“Yes dad, it’s different this time.” She defended again.

“How so? You enjoy him for a few days. He makes you cry and then you run back home feeling depressed.” Thorpes tried talking some sense into her but her mind was already made up. “Mel, don’t do this to_”

“It is different this time, he even asked me to move in.” Demelza finally let out, interrupting him. Her parents’ eyes immediately widened upon hearing that.
