Nathan watched Demelza for a while as she cared for him and ensured that he was comfortable. He began having flashbacks to how they were in the past and he felt his heart sting a little bit.

As Demelza raised her hands up to his face to check his body temperature, he held her hand back which made Demelza turn to look at him making both of them lock eyes. They kept looking at each other while Nathan pulled her into a deep kiss which she kissed back.

While they kissed, they could both feel the symphony of their souls. Nathan pulled back from the kiss not sure if it was the right decision at the moment or if it was just the fever.

“This is not the right time for this.” Demelza said, pulling away.

“Right.” Nathan responded.

She felt his body temperature and she could feel him burning up again which made her worry a lot.

“Okay, now you have to either go to the hospital or call your doctor to come_” she was cut short by the non stop ringing of her phone.

“You might Wanna get that, it’s worsening my headache.” Nathan said, referring to her ringing phone.

“Right.” She responded and picked up the phone.

“What in the fucking hell is wrong with you Demelza?” Thorpes screamed over the phone.

“Dad…” she stressed thinking of the best way to calm him down. She did not like the fact that she had not spent quality time with her dad and what they do most of the time now is fight.

“You have a lot of explanation to give.”

“Fine dad, I’ll give you a call later. I love you.”

“I hate you.” Thorpes ended with a chuckle and Demelza ended the call.

“Daddy issues?” Nathan asked

“Yeah.”

“What option did you choose?”

“I’ll call my doctor.” Nathan responded.

Nathan picked up his phone and called his doctor to come over to the house. After the call, Demelza helped him up to the bathroom to take a shower before the doctor arrived.

After his bath, she helped out with free clothes to help him feel very comfortable while he laid on the bed awaiting the doctor’s arrival. In about an hour, the doctor finally arrives and Demelza shows him the way to the room Nathan was in.

In less than thirty minutes, the doctor was done checking him and administering medication to Nathan.

The day went by fast and it was already night. Demelza took care of him all day and paid attention to his temperature. She ensured she paid attention to his body temperature and felt relieved at some point that he was no longer running temperature.

Before going to bed, she called her dad and explained everything to him. He was mad at first but he calmed down knowing how much his daughter loves Nathan and the fact that Nathan is a nice man is also some sort of consolation.

Soon the night was over and the earth came to light as the sun casted its warm glow on the horizon. As the shadows retreated, the birds began chirping, creating a pleasant melody to the ear.

Demelza slowly turned and open her eyes as the rays of the rising sun fell on her face. She turned towards the bed to check Nathan but her eyes widened when she saw that he was not on the bed. She stood up and rushed to check if he is in the bathroom but he wasn’t there either. Her heart began to pound and she could not even tell why it was.

She rushed out of the room and was relieved to see him in the kitchen with a cup of tea in his hands.

“Morning” he greeted her.

She couldn’t help but drool over his bare chest as she watched him look so hot in his morning face. “Go_ good morning.” She stuttered.

“I’m out of groceries, get dressed so that we can go shopping. I got you a dress before you woke up, it’s in the closet. He said to her leaving her shocked and wordless.

Demelza turned to the room and went straight to the closet and was surprised to see a floral small dress just her size. She smiled and got into the shower to get changed. She missed this part of Nathan. She found herself in love with his dominance and possessive nature.

In less than an hour, they were both ready and they left the house to the mall. “Are you sure you can drive?” she asked him.

“Yeah.” He responded and got into the car.

She kept looking at him and wondered what it was the doctor gave him. Whatever it was, it worked like magic because Nathan was as good as new.

They soon arrived at the mall and they both picked up different trolleys and shopped. “We’d be buying a lot, so take your time.” He told her as they began picking stuff. They shopped for a while but Nathan had to excuse himself to use the restroom leaving Demelza with a peck on the forehead.

She wondered the purpose of the peck but whatever it was, she loved the feeling that came from it; Nathan Storm kissing her in public. Though the part of it all that she feared the most is that they were yet to talk about the flash drive which was the origin of their problem.

She continued picking items from the shelf but was interrupted by the sound of her name. the voice of the person that called her sounded very familiar and she hoped it was who she thought it was.

“Demelza? Is this really you?” Adrian was excited to see her and surprised at the same time too.

“Yeah.” Demelza responded dryly.

Adrian went on about how Demelza ditched him but she barely gave him any soothing reply to help with closure. While he kept talking to her, he saw Nathan come towards their direction and his eyes wide when he saw Nathan placing a kiss on her forehead holding her by the waist.

“Nathan Storm?” he asked with so much shock laced in his voice. Fear gripped him because he knows he was no match for Nathan.
