Falling for my Ex-Fiancee’s Best friend

Demelza frost on her shoes when she had Nathan’s pacifying words. He had clearly stated that he was just using her. A part of her knew about this but why did she feel a sudden anger burn inside her?

“You never cease to amaze me Nathan. So you are just messing around with me. I am sure that was Hampton,” she confronted him head on regardless of the fear that engulfed her being.

She was being used again by Nathan who she had left her heart open to. Nathan sighed, uncertain about the right words to say to her. He never expected her to sneak up on him nor did he intend for her to hear his conversation with Hampton.

“Listen to me Demelza,” he started but she raised her palm to his face gesturing for him to pause his words.

‘More lies’ her mind emphasized on those words until she got accustomed to them. She was trying to absorb the fact that she had been fooled but no matter how she tried, her heart banged behind her chest.

“So the movie, the park, all of it was just a facade. Tell me honestly Nathan what am I to you?” Demelza asked the very question she should not have thought out. But she was wounded and needed an absolute reason for her not to dwell on the heart wrecking news she had heard from Nathan’s mouth.

“I don’t think of you as anything Demelza. We are adults that satisfy our primal needs. You are attracted to me and I am so it is not bad if we have common sex,” these words flew out of Nathan’s mouth making her feel a bit dizzy.

He only thought about her a sex partner. She too would not deny the fact that she was attracted to him but she never expected that he would classify their relationship as common sex.

“Wow, I should have known that I was just a bed warmer to you. If that is the case can you be more specific with your ideology whenever we have sex. Do not act nice to me or take me out to some fun place to lighten my mood. I hate it when men play with my emotions. You are really an asshole for saying those words to me,” she blinked back the tears that formed in her eyes and turned away to avoid him from noticing her emotional state.

Nathan knew that his words were harsh on her but he was plainly saying the truth. He didn’t want to have anything with her and most of the women he associated with were just one time flings. And there was no difference between her and the other women.

“Fine, I don’t mean to sound like a jerk but after helping you with your father, everything between us will be over. No strings attached and if you have any feelings for me do well to dispose of them,” he rudely stated without consideration.

“And what different are you from Mr. Ryan? At least he is committed to the people he relates with. You are the worst Nathan, I won’t hold on to silly feelings over some mere sex. If you really think you are influencing or affecting me in any way with this arrogance of yours then know you are wrong,” she vented her anger and walked away from him.

She didn’t go back to his car as she was too infuriated to stay in the same space as him. She might even kill him if she had to breathe the same air with him.

‘What a pathetic jerk!’ she exclaimed in her mind as she trudged away from where he was standing.

Nathan didn’t bother to chase after her as it was the best thing to do. His mind was preoccupied with questions that he had never asked himself about. He must be really sick to think of Demelza in a personal way.

He got into his car and drove a separate road to avoid meeting Demelza. He was growing on her and that was a red flag maybe it was because she was good in bed and he liked the way she moaned his name. Whatsoever, he was not going to let himself fall into the pitiful emotion called love. To him it was nothing but tragedy.

On the other hand, Nathan had to be careful with his plays with Demelza. Although he had told Hampton about his plan with her and how he decided to deceive her with his lies.

But that was a different case for Hampton. He clenched his fist in anger when one of his guards informed him of Demelza’s whereabouts.

“Sir, I took shots of the woman getting out of Mr Nathan’s house last night. She has been frequenting there for the past one week now,” the guard Hampton had assigned to monitor Demelza placed different photos for him to see.

He gritted his teeth and smashed one of the vases beside him.

“Bring me that damn woman!”, he yelled at the guard who quickly bowed and left his presence. Hampton was going to make her wish she never existed if she was brought back to him.

“That pathetic woman, how dare she try to convert my best friend,” he snapped the buttons of his shirt because of the sudden suffocation he felt.

Demelza thanked the taxi man who dropped her off on her street and began to stride back home. She was full from the overwhelming argument she had with Nathan.

Just the thought of him kissing her neck and touching her in different parts of her body made her hate herself badly. She had stupidly grown attached to him due to the numerous things they slept with each other.

She wrapped her hands around body and exhaled from the cold that breezed through her body. As she thought of what she would eat for dinner, a blind fold covered her eyes and a strong hand closed her mouth to muffle her screams.

Demelza struggled to set herself free from the men who captured her but the more she kicked her legs, they bonded with all their strengths. When she had the opportunity to scream, a hand hit her neck and she fell unconscious.

“Sir, we have arrived with the woman,” the guard informed Hampton as he stepped into the room with Demelza tied up and thrown over his shoulder.

Hampton smirked and took over from his men. “Who pathetic whore!, didn’t I warn you about seducing other men? How dare you seduce Nathan!” He yanked her hair and caused her intense pain.

Demelza screamed but the cloth that covered her mouth made it impossible for her to be heard. Hampton threw her on the long couch in his study and began to rip off her clothes.

He roughly removed the material that covered her mouth and smacked his lips on hers.

Demelza fought against him but he suppressed her with his strength and hit her every time she refused him access to her body.

“You shameless witch! I will make you regret disobeying my rules. Do you not understand the word Mistress, you stupid woman!” He tore off her bra and began to fond it with force.

“Please stop, I beg you, don’t do this to me please,” she cried but he ignored her and continued to assault her mercilessly.

He bruised her skin and spanked every part of her body that he felt had been touched by another man.

“I know what you want Demelza. Don’t you want to go back to the old times when we had a lovely life together? Why are you so stubborn to agree to being my mistress!” He choked her as he pulled off the skirt she wore.

When she was completely naked he smiled devilishly and began to have his way on her. Demelza cried and yelled begging for someone to come to her rescue. But no one would dare go against Hampton.

As he tried to thrust inside her, tears rolled down her cheeks as pain engulfed her body. She wished she had stayed back with Nathan and endured his harsh words. But it was already too late if only she knew this would happen to her.

Her entire body began to shake and he touched her face to wipe the tears that stained her cheeks.

“Don’t cry, my love, I am only teaching you how to keep your body away from other men,” he kissed her eyes, terrifying every inch of her being while she wondered what would have happened if he had his way with her.
