Fall For Me

Chapter 58

Valerie’s POV

I don’t know how I feel about calling Andrew, I should be more excited than I actually am but somehow my emotions are messed up. I don’t know what I feel about anything-I know that I like Andrew and I was getting to know him before Carson came in the picture.

I dialed Andrew’s number and he picked up almost immediately.

“Hello Andrew!” I greeted in a calm voice

“Heyy!!” He replied quizzically

“It’s Valerie”

“Ohh, Valerie. I’ve been calling Gwen to check up on you since that day, she said she hasn’t been to your place since then. How have you been?”

“I’ve been good Andrew. Yeah, it’s been awhile”

“Are you safe? Is Carson around?”

“Yes, I’m safe and Carson is not around. He gifted me a phone, Gwen a around so she gave me your number. By the way, you can call me on this line in the night so we can talk”

“Is it safe to call you when Carson is around?”

“Carson travelled for business, so you can call me anytime” I informed. That was really bold of me, what if Carson tracks my phone calls and catches me? What if he kills Andrew or me or my parents?

“I’ve missed you. What have you been up to?”

“I’ve been busy missing you a lot, it’s so quiet here. I’m all by myself-it’s no fun at all”

“I wish we could meet up and have some fun”

“I wish so too”

Andrew and I spoke at length giggling and laughing. Gwen was just watching with a smile. I don’t know why she was rooting for this relationship so much like she had some gain in it. Gwen has always been mischievous. She left me to continue my chit chat with Andrew when it was late.

It was an almost perfect night with our conversation. I didn’t realize when I slept off.

That night, I wish Carson would peck me to bed or would make me lay on his firm chest. I imagined Andrew in his place-it helped me a little.

I woke up to Janet’s smile, I wheezed in her face. My vision was still blur as I straightened on the bed.

“Hope you slept well?” Janet asked with a big smile

“Janet! Why are you in my face so early in the morning?”

“It’s 10am already, your sister asked me to wake you up as she is stepping out”

“Gwen is stepping out?” I got up from the bed and entered the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth, before following Janet outside.

“Looks like you slept late last night”

“Yea, I did”

Gwen was already sitting on the dinning eating all the sumptuous dishes before I got there.

“Princess Valerie, I’m sorry to disrupt your pretty sleep” She teased

“Why are you all dressed up?” I gave a puzzled look as I pulled a chair and sat in the dining

“Oh, I didn’t tell you about it. I’m so sorry”

“what is that?”

“I started working in a make up store so soon enough I’d own my makeup brand”

“Oh, wow I’m so happy for you. You’ve always been a fashion person”

“I know right!”

I sipped some tea and started pressing my phone. Andrew left me a text, “Good morning, sweet girl. Nice talking to you yesterday, hope you slept well?” I smiled as I read his text before typing a reply.

“I slept well, you? I slept better after discussing with you”

He replied almost immediately like he was waiting for my reply. This guy is so intentional about me unlike Carson who hasn’t called me for the past 3 days-The things I felt for Andrew we’re probably rekindling already.

“See you in the evening sis. I’ll leave you to enjoy chatting with the love of your life” She whispered the last sentence, I smiled as I watched her leave.

Janet came to the dining as soon as Gwen left like she was peeping the entire time. I was still chatting with Andrew when she sat beside me, I was giggling at his texts.

“You look happy” Janet commented

“Yes, I am. Should I not?”

“You were upset yesterday that Carson left without telling you and now you are all happy”

“I don’t care about Carson, he can go to hell for all I care” I yelled angrily

“That’s a mean thing to say, Mr Carson really loves you”

“Yea yea, he does. He hasn’t even called me since he travelled. So much pride for a man that loves me” I blurted, Andrew and I were still chatting and this conversation with Janet was just a distraction.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Mr Carson called” She blurted. My heart skipped a beat, I dropped my phone immediately and turned to her.

“What did you say?”

“He called this morning to ask about our welfare, he said about you. I think it was basically to ask about you” She narrated

“So why wouldn’t he just call me directly?”

“Mr Carson loves you but he still has his pride. He was angry at your comment before he left so he wouldn’t want to call you first but because he misses you, he called to check up on you secretly.” She explained further.

“Why do you defend him so much? You shouldn’t have told me in the first place” I replied angrily before picking my phone and walking off to my room.

I started pacing up and down contemplating whether to call Carson or not. Am I really the bad person here? Should I just call him and apologize? Does he really miss me?

I was still pondering on what to do when my phone buzzed. It was a video call with Andrew, I quickly applied some lip gloss and packed my hair into a neat pony tail before picking up the call.

There he was with a button up shirt buttoned halfway up revealing his chest, his physique was giving. I was so lost, I didn’t notice I was biting my lower lips seductively.

“Hey Valerie!” His hoarse voice rang through the phone to my ear, I felt my body vibrate before jerking back to reality.

“Andrew, so good to see you. You look better than ever”
