Chapter 188: I'm New Here
Chapter 188: I'm New Here
Without talking with them Cathy lifted her hair around her ear then walked toward the building with her bag in the hand.
Nick and Aaron followed her.
Tyrone looked through the window at the woman's fading back. After long time he finally said, "Drive."
Eric respectfully asked, "Mr Raman where are we going now?"
It was a temporary arrangement to go to Washington. There was no plan at all. He worked very hard without rest to short one week's work to three days and went to Washington.
He was surprised yesterday but when he saw Miss Lawson just now, he suddenly understood.
The man closed his eyes and spoke for a long time. His voice was low and cold. "You just drive."
"Oh oh..."
Cathy went to the bottom of the building, paused, looking up at the building in front of her, and breathed.
It's worthy of being a top 50 enterprise. Couldn't anyone work there.
The three people came to the service hall on the first floor and went to the service desk. Cathy handed out her company's business card and smiled. "Hello, we are representatives of Vanten Technology Company. We want to meet Mr Franklin."
The receptionist confirmed her message, smiled professionally and nodded, "Do you have an appointment, please?"
"No."
When the receptionist heard her answer was "no" she even didn't picked up the phone but apologized, "Sorry. Nobody would meet Mr Franklin except you have an appointment."
Cathy was shocked and looked back at Nick and Aaron. They were not surprised at the result.
Cathy pulled her lips and looked at the two people at the desk with a faint smile. "We are here to talk about cooperation. If Mr Franklin is till busy, I wonder if you can help us contact the person in charge of the marketing department?"
The receptionist hesitated for a moment, and explained embarrassingly, "I'm sorry, Mr. Lawson, if you hadn't made an appointment with the company in advance, we couldn't help you to inform. Please forgive me, even if I called, there would refuse."
Cathy pursed her lips, after thought for several seconds she nodded and laughed, "I see. Thank you."
Knowing that she would not say much if she asked them, she wasn't wasting any more time. Then she waved her hand to the other two and walked towards the lobby lounge.
They sat down on the sofa.
Cathy looked at the elevator room and the receptionist in the distance and asked lightly, "Do you have any idea?"
Aaron also looked there leaning back and said: "It must be something important happened to the company and there is no time to receive customers from such small company like us. If this is the representative of LT Company, they must invite us in immediately."
Cathy picked up her eyebrows and looked at him unexpectedly. She smiled and said, "Anything else?"
It was really a right decision to take him here.
"If we can't see Mr Franklin they could at least let us see a person in charge of the cooperation. It's obvious that they don't want to refuse us or cooperate with us now but just to let us wait until they have finished their work. Because of this uncertainty we can only wait until they have finished their work if we don't want to give up. But we don't know if they will cooperate with us in the end.
Nick frowned. "They don't respect us at all. "
Aaron smashed his mouth and his tone was rambling. "The is not bullying in business. This is the most common psychological tactic. They didn't ask you waiting. It's because you don't want to give up easily." It could not see any emotion from Cathy's face but she look at Aaron thoughtfully.
Nick pondered and looked at Cathy. "Cathy, what shall we do next?" Can't we just sit here all the time?
Cathy's face was unpredictable, touching her chin and squinting. "I'm just a little curious about what happened to them recently, which made the atmosphere so tense. After we get it clear, we have to consider whether we want to continue to cooperate with them. I don't want to have any trouble later."
She had the same idea with Aaron. Mr Franklin wasn't a simple man. After cooperating, she did not know whether everything would be go. she would better find out the crisis then she could let Mr.Brown give up it.
Nick touched his head and felt sad. "How can we ask? we can't get in."
Cathy twisted her eyebrows and thought for a while. Suddenly, she looked at Aaron, and a strange smile slowly appeared on her beautiful face. "Of course, we have to use our brains."
A few minutes later, Aaron and Nick smiled with the charming face in front of the receptionists. They were inquiring but then it changed to luring. The receptionists were attracted by them.
Aaron and Nick were very handsome, wearing a suit, with elegant temperament. Nick was a little rigid, but Aaron was absolutely open. Just a short time the little girl's attention was all attracted. Cathy shook her head and sighed as she took the opportunity to walk quickly towards the elevator room.
But she didn't have access card. She just caught a glimpse of a bad one beside her, pretending not to see it, and walked in calmly.
When the elevator door closed, she breathed hard and covered her nervous heart.
She pushed a floor at random. When she arrived, she pulled at her clothes and went out naturally.
Maybe because she was dressed professionally, no one passed by paid attention to her. She was a very calm person but at that time she was very nervous and her back was sweating. If she was discovered, it would be a trivial to lose face.
Compared with the busy people around her, she was a little like a loafer which made she was stared just in a short time.
The person who was looked like a supervisor, pointing at her and said quickly, "Which department do you from?"
"I..."
Without waiting for her to finish, he quickly ordered, "Room 1202 needs six cups of coffee. You send them right away. Be quickly!"
Cathy was stunned. Before she spoke with his mouth open, the man walked away quickly.
She blinked "send... Coffee?"
What kind of coffee do they need? It should be hot or warm? It needs sugar or not??
A few minutes later, she tapped on the door with six cups of coffee.
"Come in, please."
Hearing the sound inside, she took a deep breath and carefully opened the door. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
It was a very small conference room and seven people were in a meeting.
She just glanced at it then lowered her head quietly and put a cup of coffee in front of everyone obediently, then went out quietly.
Before she went to the door, a different voice suddenly sounded on the conference table then everyone got quiet and looked over.
"Who made the coffee?"
Cathy was shocked. Her eyes flashed down and hurried forward. "Oh, it's me."
The woman put the coffee back on the table, raised her long, dark eyebrows and looked at her coldly. "What's this?I only drink Italian, without sugar. Don't you have a brain?"
Looking for her work card, she said, "Which department are you from?" Such a little trifle can't be done well."
Cathy tried to keep calm and apologized, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I'm new here. I'm not very familiar with it. I'll give you another one."
