“Where are you coming from ?” She asked curiously and tucked her hand in her pocket.

“Went to the boss. Have apologized to him” she said with a wide smile.

“Did he accept your apology ?” Clarissa asked.

“Yes” she nodded along with the reply she gave her.

“Boss isn’t the type that accepts an apology easily” she paused and turned to look at her again.

“What did you give him in return ?” She asked which made Daphne widened her eyes when she remembered the immediate kiss she had with him earlier.

“He didn’t ask anything in return,” Daphne said and ran off. Clarissa chuckled and stared at her back view.

“She gave him something in return” she thought and smiled as she walked away.

She bumped into someone again.

“Where are you running to ?” Mason asked and pulled back.

“Was just running from Rissa” she mumbled, breathing heavily.

“Rissa, who the hell is that ?” Mason asked.

“Clarissa I mean. I actually short it” she replied with a cute smile.

“Did she run after you to make your breath heavy to this extent ?” Mason asked, looking behind her.

“No! I’m just escaping a weird question she asked” she replied and took the opportunity to stare at Mason.

“I want to visit my mom and younger sister. Will you like to tag along with me?” he asked, waiting for a response impatiently. Daphne thought for a while and heaved a sigh.

“I don’t think I can follow you.” She replied and his face dropped instantly.

“Why ?” He asked with disappointment written on his face.

“I just want to take a rest” she replied with her lips pouted together.

“Okay. But promise to follow me on my next visit” he brought a condition.

“Hope it’s not next month because this month is ending” she asked worriedly.

“No. I’m not going next but I’m going the following month” he replied and she nodded with a smile.

“I’m following you then” she replied and ran off leaving him speechless again.

“When will you ask her out ?” Emmett asked, which made his thoughts interrupted.

“When the right time is around the corner. But for now I want to get closer to her and get to know more about her” she said, staring at Daphne’s back view that seems to be fading away.

“Can’t wait to see your romance” Emmett giggled.

“F**l” Mason cause and roll his eye

“Stinky” Emmett replied back with a wink.

“I hate you” Mason screamed and ran his hand through his hair.

“I love you best buddy” Emmett winked and placed his hand on his shoulder.

“Get your f*cking hands off me” Mason scolded and ran off, of course, Emmett ran after him.

“Did you have any leads about Ariel’s whereabouts?” Laura asked her secret agent.

“No! But the chairman assigned another professional agent for this. ” The secret agent said.

“Okay, I will let him handle it then” Laura uttered, signaling the guy to take his leave. (Door shut silently)

She has been with a long time boyfriend, looking for Ariel for the past few weeks wasn’t a play. She has been worried about her whereabouts.

She stood up and went to the rooftop and took a seat.

“Ma’am” a maid interrupted her thoughts.

“What’s the matter ?” Laura asked.

“Chairman is back” she informed, which made Laura storm on her feet.

“Let’s go ” she said and took the stairs that lead down stairs.

“Lorenzo baby” Laura called sweetly and gave him a warm hug.

“You missed me” he asked and kissed her forehead.

“I miss you so much, get your favorite ready” she said and pulled him to the dining area.

“Wait, you can’t eat without taking a bath” she said and pulled a long face.

“Guess I need a bath” Lorenzo mumbled and pecked her cheeks. He took the stairs and went up. Laura smiled and turned around. She had a confused expression on her face as she stared at the man in front of her.

“May I know how you get in?” she asked.

“My name is Pablo, came with Lorenzo”

“Oh! I’m sorry for questioning you. Please have a seat” she said politely.

“Yeah thank you” he said and took a seat on the couch. Laura rushed upstairs and went inside her room,

“Babe” she called and he hummed.

“You have a visitor down stairs” she said waiting for his response because she got no expression on her face.

“He’s a partner. He’s going to his place very soon” Lorenzo replied and turned to look at her face.

“Were you scared ?” He asked and she nodded to his question.

“There’s nothing to be scared of, come over” he said and opened his arms.

“I won’t be able to spend every night with you while in America because of work and tight business” he uttered rubbing her back.

“I’m fine but make sure you are safe and sound” she mumbled with her lips pout together.

“Don’t open the door for anybody in my apartment ?” He said with a worried face.

“Okay. I Promise not to open the door whenever you are not around” she vow and smiled widely.

“Get yourself ready before your food gets cold” Laura said and he hummed.

“I’m coming soon” he replied and she shut the door.

Their laughter and giggles were making the pool area lively. Ariel and Addison have been the best sister’s for the past few weeks. Mrs Ellison wasn’t left out as she kept her self esteem low to their level. She brought them water guns days ago but now she’s regretting why she brought them the toys. At the same time it’s fun but also frustrating.

“Stop shooting the water on my body” Mrs Ellison screamed at the kids but they won’t stop shooting the water at her.

“Say please” Ariel stressed her tiny voice as she kept laughing.

“Spoilt Kid” Mrs Ellison laughed and fell inside the pool. Addison and Ariel exchange stares and fall inside the pool seconds after Mrs Ellison went in.

“Seriously!” Mrs Ellison screamed and swam to the end of the pool.

“When I shake you pretend as if you are dead” Ariel gave an instruction and she found herself nodding.

“She nodded Addison,” Ariel screamed and pointed the water gun at her.

“When we made the sound *boom* with our mouths, you must pretend to be dead, okay” Ariel reminded her again and she nodded but quickly screamed “what!”

“Are you two going to shoot me at once?” she asked with a shocked expression on her face.

“Yes,” Addison giggled and signaled Ariel to point the water gun at her.

“Pretend as if you are scared with a pleading face” Addison added and laughed but it was interrupted when she heard *boom* from another gun.

“Don’t cry again she will be fine” Emerson did his best to pet Anaya but it was as if it was making things complicated.

“My sister will get angry at me if anything happens to her best friend” she mumbled in between her tears.

“But I thought you said she’s your sister,” Emerson asked, still confused.

“She’s my sister’s best friend,” Anaya replied, locking her hand with his.

“Oh! So where is your real sister” Emerson asked curiously. Because he has been curious from the beginning of her tears.

“My mom sent her away weeks ago. My dad has been trying to know her whereabouts but he told me she’s safe and sound so I should not worry about it. She paused and faked an angry face.

“I think he’s lying. If sister Daphne is —

“Daphne” he asked with a surprising facial expression.

“Yes! Her name is Daphne. And stop interrupting me ” she warned.

“If sister Daphne is fine like he said she would have called our home line” Anaya pouted.

“Do you have your sister’s picture ?” Emerson asked.

“Huh” she hummed as she nodded her head.

“I always have it with me” she giggled and deep her hand inside her pocket.

“It’s a family picture with my mom and dad Ariel Daphne and me” she said with a smile on her lips and put the picture in his hand. His hand trembled continuously as she kept staring at the picture in his hand.

“Daphne,” his mind screamed.
