Chapter 19- Amara
Chapter 19- Amara
“Mom run. There is a wolf ghost behind you.” Ben said with a shaking voice.
Val and Eros had jumped out of the living room couch and behind their older brothers. Elliot too was
standing behind them and the three of them where pushing each other around to get better cover
resulting in Elliot to fall down.
Ryder sat beside me as I saw the scene unfold. He tilted his head to the side looking at them with a
very confused expression.
Elliot screeched watching Ryder’s massive head tilt and dived behind the kitchen counter. Beth on the
other hand was looking at Ryder with interest. She has always been an odd one.
“Those brats are stupid. I don’t know why you stay with them and not me.” Ryder’s jealous ass said.
“MOM THE GHOST JUST SPOKE.” Ethan screamed resulting in Ryder and me to wince.
“Okay enough.” I said before anyone could start spoofing anything more. “Kids, this is Ryder my older
brother. Ryder, these are my children. Benjamin and Ethan, the twins. Then there is Valentina,
Elizabeth, Elliot and Eros.”
“I like Aria better.” Ryder said amused.
He did not just say that?
“He is Uncle Ryder?” Ben asked with wide shocked eyes.
I nodded.
“Mom you never told us he is dead.” Val screeched.
“DO I LOOK DEAD TO YOU?” Ryder growled making the bunch in front of us jump.
“Ry they don’t know anything.” I sighed.
He just huffed at me.
“He is my god father right mom?” Beth asked all excited. I nodded amused. “I have a cool god father.”
She skipped towards Ryder and hugged him. Ryder looked really happy. Even his tail was wagging a
little.
“I am glad this one is mine. The others are utterly stupid.” Ryder said nuzzling into Beth.
Isn’t that enough? Just let go now.
“Okay. Now that everyone is clear that Ryder isn’t some ghost, let’s get to making dinner. We have a lot
to get done. I will explain everything later.” I said testily.
Ryder was still nuzzling into Beth. The others still looked a little on the edge but they were no longer Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
screaming and running.
“That’s enough. Get to the kitchen.” I said sharply to Beth.
I heard the lot behind me snicker which I shut up by a glare. Beth looked at me amused as I moved the
focus of my glare to the two of them.
“Mom do you mind if I stay with uncle Ryder?” The smartass asked with a little smirk on her face.
I growl slipped my lips before I could stop it. This time Beth looked scared. Ryder flinched. There was a
scurrying noise of footsteps behind me. Good decision.
“Kitchen. Now.” I told the shaking brat.
She all but sprinted out of there.
I glared one more time at Ryder and made my way to the kitchen. But before I could even take two
steps, a huge ass fur ball blocked my way.
“Did I do something wrong princess?” Ryder asked in a vulnerable voice.
Aww. He looks like a lost puppy like this.
No! I am mad at him.
I refused to answer him and tried to walk from beside him. Key word. Tried.
“Why are you mad at me princess?”
He blocked my path. Again.
But why am I mad at him?
“I don’t know.” I mumbled looking at the floor.
I heard Ryder snicker. I looked at him pointedly and jumped on him to tackle him down. He rolled over
with me on top and then turned. I landed on my back and he pinned me with his body. I struggled to get
up but stopped at his next words.
“Are you jealous Princess?”
His voice sounded amused. I could feel my face warm up. Ryder gave a barking laugh and nuzzled into
me. I hid my red face in his mane as he continued to cackle.
“S…shut up Ryder. Stop acting like a hyena.”
Wow! Way to go Amara.
“Sure.” He said snickering.
“Get off of me Ryder. I need to cook dinner.” I told him but he just laid onto his side and pulled me in his
chest with his paws.
I rested my head on him as he curled his head around my back, blocking my way out. I laid there for a
while but I need to get up.
“I need to get up.” I told the big wolf curled around me.
“Later.”
He didn’t even open his eyes.
“Please let go. We are having a feast for Lucas, Archer and Hudson. That’s the least I could do for the
boys after what they have been through.”
I all but whined. He let go of me this time. I got up and stretched. Ryder got up as well.
“Why are you getting up?” I asked confused.
“I am coming with you.” He said in a duh voice.
“No you are not.”
“Yes I am.”
“No. Go upstairs to mine and Steven’s bedroom to rest up.”
“I am not going there. What if someone attacked you and I am too late to come save you? Your room is
an entire floor away. I am staying right here with you.”
I groaned in frustration. I should have seen that coming.
