CHAPTER 13- WHERE DID SHE GO
CHAPTER 13- WHERE DID SHE GO
Ryan remained silent for a while before commenting nonchalantly, “What’s up with her?” Jack was
rendered speechless by this young man’s carefree attitude; did he not understand what he was
inquiring about. The man asked, “I am asking if we are taking her along with us or...”
The man took another long drag again, with his eyes attached to bright burning cigarette between his
fingers and lips parting to give way to another wicked smoke ring he replied without giving it a thought,
“Of course she is coming with me. There is nothing important enough to ask in it.” Jack was
disappointed but not surprised, this man was unpredictable; somewhere deep down Jack knew that he
was stubborn and was not going to let go of her but he mistakenly judged that he was sane and would
think out things applying logic.
“But how is she gonna live with us? Did you think about it once?”
“I did...” He puffed out the stick in his arms in a nearby ashtray and shoved his hands inside his pocket,
“I have a bigger house in Barcelona and I have already got everything arranged for her; that house is
enough for us to live.” His voice was as bland as if he was not talking about taking a living human away
with him forever but like he was introducing himself to an old man who had nothing to do with him.
This man was always like this, treasured both his words and expressions like some gold. It took a great
deal of patience to be with this man as he was a miser when it came to showing a reaction. Jack said,
“No... No! I am not talking about accommodation.” Jack was clearly losing his patience at this point, he
was angry yet was polite as he knew his mouth will be ripped apart if he dared to raise his voice in front
of this man. He continued, “I am talking about her. She is a living human, Ryan! We can’t just take her
away...”
“Till two days before she was a normal girl living and working in a club; we have literally kidnapped her.
Do you think her friends and colleagues would unsee it; won’t they start finding her?”
Ryan leaned on the railings of the balcony and said with the same uninterested tone, “I kill people and
is still roaming freely. What can a mere crime of kidnap do to me?”
“...” Jack was out of ideas; Ryan was a psycho for sure- he said he won’t take her yet was not willing to
let go of her. He felt pity for that girl cooped in her room who did nothing to deserve this but saved his
life. He tried to make Ryan understand and continued to pursue, “Ryan, please look through it. She is a
just a teenager; she has a heart... She deserves to be free. Do you have any idea how you are treated
her back then.”
Ryan was unmoved as he stared at Jack with his hazel eyes; the assistant continued, “You have to
think straight, Ryan! You can’t just keep a girl with you and snatch her off her happiness. The money
you spend on her to give her materialistic happiness won’t matter to her if you treat her this poorly and
keep on breaking her heart.”
“What else do you want me to do?” The man cocked an eyebrow; Jack explained, “She is your
prisoner; you brought her here and is taking care of her. I just wanted to remind you that... She is a
human so treat her as one.” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
He decided to end his conversation right here hoping that the man was smart enough to understand
what he wanted to say. Yes, he admits that the girl was too rough on courting or whatever she was
trying to do. They had just met and she wasn’t aware about his past. She was bound to get hurt but it
was too soon and too shocking for her.
One moment she was showered with all the best things and the next she was treated with animosity.
After the man left Ryan did a bit of work out; he came out sweating and huffing dabbing a towel on his
trickling sweat. The man possessed a youthful body which was carefully carved, a long black locket
was seen hanging on his neck which was sparkling like some serpent. Since he was injured he didn’t
strain his body with heavy chores and kept it light. Lazily throwing the towel on the floor he walked out
of the gym and laid flat on his bed. The things which were said by Jack came back to his mind.
Was he too harsh on her? What is she up to? Ryan threw a lazy glance at the clock; it was going to be
midnight soon! He wondered what she was up to. Picking up his shirt he strode out of his room for a
stroll; his legs moved towards her room. Without giving it a thought he pushed open the door silently. It
was really quiet inside; he predicted that she was long asleep. Relaxing himself he was about to turn
back and leave when his eyes involuntarily fell on the bed.
It was empty!
He knotted his eyebrows together before walking towards the bed; he yanked off the blanket to find no
soul on it. Where did she go? A bit panicked he started to look around the room. When he couldn't find
her he was left with no choice but to twist open the wardrobe. The room was lit but as before there was
no one in.
At this point Ryan was loosing his cool, just how did she mange to escape beyond the level of security
in this place. He balled his wrist before searching for her everywhere. "Dammit!" He cursed to himself,
he decided to alert the system and hunt her down. There was no way he was letting her go...
He was about to turn around and leave when he heard a really minute noise from the bathroom. That
was when he remembered that he had forgot to look into it. He took large strides at the door and
twisted it open to find Bee inside the empty bathtub, sitting silently hugging her knees.
