Chapter 31 Can you bring the dead back to life?
She stood up and looked at him with a somber expression, “Are you a dog? What have you been following me all this time?”
“I’m just trying to protect you.” He was somewhat innocent.
Susan, however, sneered, “Protect? Protect me from what? Do you just want to see me as a joke!”
“You’d better stop following me, I want to be alone!” And then repeated, “Do you know what it’s like to be alone?”
Chandler looked up at her as she waited for that answer.
Susan was a little deflated, frowning and standing in front of him, saying seriously, “I’ll give you a chance to tell me what you’re really up to.”
He still didn’t say anything.
“Last chance, think about what you’re going to do.” Saying that she turned around and was about to walk forward.
“I just want to protect you.”
The two had been separated by a distance of ten meters, and she stopped at those words.
Looking back at the man, Susan stared blankly for a few seconds and then laughed. She laughed until tears came out of her eyes, and she slowly squatted down, covering her stomach.
He had come closer, and Susan quickly silenced herself, looking at the man in front of her and wiping the tears from her face.
“Protect me?” She laughed a little exaggeratedly, and there were already tears squeezing out of her eyes.
This look of Susan made Chandler’s heart jump heavily. He took a step forward, but she held out her hand, stopping him from going further.
“Mr. Walker should not get so close, I’ll get the wrong idea.” Nearly out of breath, she slowly calmed down and looked at him again seriously and calmly.
Susan continued, “I know Mr. Walker is devoted to Karen, and I’ve seen it. If I wasn’t the bitch who got Karen killed in the first place, maybe you guys would be in love right now.”
“That’s not true …” Chandler didn’t know what to say, his denial somewhat feeble.
Susan, however, continued to remind him, irritating him, “I’m the bitch, Mr. Walker doesn’t need to remind me of that. Now we’re supposed to be enemies, I’m one of the people who killed Karen, and you killed my child, Mr. Walker must have thought that made it even.”
“I am not.” With a solemn face, he looked seriously at the person in front of him and repeated, “I am not.”
Susan just pretended she didn’t hear him and continued to talk to herself.
The person in front of her had nothing to say, nor did he know what to say. Today’s Susan is a bit perverse.
Chandler made a deep vow, “I’ll pay back everything I owe you.”
“Then can you bring the dead back to life?” Susan looked curiously at the man in front of her as if waiting for his joke.
“I can give you back something else besides these.”
“Well.” Susan hooked her lips up and smiled playfully, “Then what can you give back to me?”
“A husband.” He had just said, then came over and hugged her tightly, not letting go of her even if she struggled.
Chandler held her by the waist and kept her close to his body.
The two stood on the street, still attracting a lot of admiring glances. Susan looked at the cheeks so close to each other, and the curling eyelashes.
Susan couldn’t resist biting him until the fishy taste came between her lips and teeth, and she let go.
“You!” She was so angry, she didn’t know what to say.
Chandler looked at her, his eyes as deep as a cold pool, Susan wiped her mouth hard, and then said, “You scum!”
She was indeed too angry to speak, and the words that came out were a bit tongue-tied. But Susan couldn’t hold it in anymore, her mouth was all over his breath, and the culprit was still laughing.
Looking at his slightly smug eyebrows, Susan had a million swear words she wanted to say but held them back.
She looked at the man in front of her, and after taking a deep breath, she turned around and was about to leave.
“You’re the one who called me nasty.” He suddenly came over and took her in his arms, closing his eyes and responding softly, “I am a nasty person and a scum.”
“Let go of me!” She yelled low. And Chandler was unmoved, whispering in her ear, “I won’t let go, ever again.”
Susan laughed contemptuously, “If you don’t let go of me, I’ll scream. I’d like to show you what it’s like to be surrounded by people!
Just finished, he hugged even tighter.
Susan was unable to move as he held her, she yelled, but he didn’t make any move.
She was helpless, and as she watched more and more people gather around, Susan panicked.
“Let go of me.” Her voice had trembled, and such a scene was like the situation back then, which she still remembered vividly.
“I beg you to let go of me … let go of me …” she shook her head and struggled violently. Chandler heard that and quickly let go. But Susan was already clutching her hair, her eyes lost in thought.
Chandler saw this and immediately took her in his arms, with much less force. He watched her calm down and then kissed her again.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
