Darling, Please Love Me Again! (Gisele Meyer)

Chapter 39

Chapter 39

“Pristine, huh? I bet you’ve cheated on me countless times over the past three years while you paraded around as Mrs. Jefferson, right?”

Gisele’s chest tightened with anger as she stared at him in disbelief.

Was she really that despicable in his eyes?

Would he accuse her of infidelity if she told him she had been pregnant a week ago?

Seeing her pale face and lack of expression, Dorian snarled out angrily, “Did I hit a nerve? Are you counting how many lovers you’ve had?”

“Dorian.”

Gisele raised her weary eyes. Their dullness was tinged with a hint of sorrow. “Why are you so eager to make yourself a cuckhold? Unlike you, I won’t engage with other men until our divorce is finalized.

“Preserving the Meyer family’s reputation is paramount to me.”

Her voice faltered at the last sentence, with tears pooling in her eyes. It seemed like they would fall if she blinked.

Staring at her swollen face, Dorian’s mind flashed back to the sight of Gordon’s slap, which had been delivered without a moment’s thought.

An inexplicable sense of displeasure surged through him. NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

“You better live up to your words.‘

His gaze fixed on her tempting l*ps, a volatile blend of desire and anger churning within him.

Gisele observed him contemptuously, then withdrew her hand from his. Before he could react, she abruptly stood up and k*ssed his thin l*ps.

Dorian’s deep eyes widened in disbelief as Gisele’s l*ps met his own.

Reacting on pure instinct, Dorian shoved her away. His expression contorted into a mask of anger. “‘Gisele, do you have a death wish?”

“Isn’t it expected for the spouse to fulfill their marital obligations?” Gisele tucked away her forlorn expression and smiled coyly.

rv, right?”

She added, “If Grandpa Declan sees us being so affectionate, he wouldn’t be angry,

Dorian felt disgusted and stood up. He hastily grabbed a handful of tissues to wipe hist m*uth before retreating to the bathroom.

Gisele chuckled mockingly. Despite her laughter, she silently collapsed onto the couch as tears streamed down her ch*eks.

She wondered whether marrying him had made her feel inferior.

Gisele perked up at the sound of the incoming call and sat upright. Glancing around, she noticed Dorian’s phone lighting up.

She scoffed. There was no mistaking who it was.

As the sound of teeth brushing and gargling emanated from the bathroom, Gisele answered the call and turned on the speaker.

“Babe, are you still busy? Didn’t we agree to have dinner with Mr. Murray tonight?” Sierra’s flirtatious tone sent shivers down Gisele’s spine.

Gisele looked toward the bathroom door with a cold gaze. “Really? Sorry, Sierra. Your ‘babe‘ is having dinner with his legal wife tonight. It looks like you’ll be on your own.”

“Gisele? You two…” Sierra’s voice trembled on the other end.

A sudden recollection of Dorian carrying Gisele away from the center flashed through Sierra’s mind.

Gisele lifted her chin as she reclined on the couch. “What about us? You constantly address my husband as ‘babe‘. Do you truly believe he would divorce me for you?

“Ms. McMillan, once my identity is revealed, your current image will be shattered by the revelation of your status as the mistress.

“If I were you, I’d keep a low profile.”
