“Just now Ma!” he answered. “You better come downstairs, I’ll give Jessica that dinner!” he offered. It was getting scary if her mom finds out, it could be a big problem.

“Mama will wait!” Mrs. Anna glanced at the clock on the wall already almost half past nine in the evening.

There’s no other choice. Lexi chose to sit on the edge of the bed with anxious expectations. He didn’t let Jessica bang on the door and ask for help. “Please don’t,” he muttered softly.

“What?” Mrs. Anna asked, hearing Lexi’s voice.

“No Ma, Jessica if the bath is long! So just go outside, I’ll make sure Jessica finishes her dinner!” Once again Lexi tried to drive her mother out of her room.

“Hold on!” Mrs. Anna got up from her seat, then she walked towards the bathroom door.

Just now Mrs. Anna wanted to open the door to the sound of moaning from inside. “Open the door, please!” Jessica felt cold.

“Lexi!”Mrs. Anna shouted, trying to open the bathroom door.

“Damn” Lexi immediately took the bathroom key and opened the door.

Lexi and Mrs. Anna found Jessica sitting on the floor with shivering bodies. “Did you lock her in the bathroom?!”shouted Mrs. Anna. They approached Jessica. Lexi carried his wife, then he carried Jessica’s body on the bed.

“Jessica!” Mrs. Anna called her name while taking off the wet clothes worn by her daughter-in-law. “Lexi, call the doctor now!” Mrs. Anna shouted.

“Mr. Lexi,” the maid called, “Mrs. Anna, ask you to come into the room!” the maid who already felt the tension between Lexi and Mrs. Anna, chose to go downstairs.

Lexi walked into his room, followed by Mr. Samuel and Arvel who were worried about Jessica’s condition.

“Look, Lexi, you’re too much. You locked Jessica in the bathroom!” Mrs. Anna was mad.

“Good!” Mrs. Anna held back her anger. “I’ll call the doctor. Dr. Sham will here!” She was still worried about her daughter in law.

“No Ma, I’m fine, ” Jessica said softly.

“Well, Lexi, i will watch over you, once again mama see you torture Jessica, mama will not stay silent!” she threatened. She began to feel that something was wrong with her son. ‘About his second marriage? Is it true that Lexi married Jessica for love!’

Mr. Samuel was silent. However, the sight of his eyes alone was able to make Lexi feel very guilty about this incident.

He grabbed the back of Jessica’s hand and kissed it. “Say you forgive me, or what should I do for you to forgive me!” Lexi looked very worried.

“I’m hungry, please bring me some food” Jessica asked him.

Lexi moved quickly to take the rice and satay that was brought by his mother.
