Chapter 410 I Can Marry You
Once Bella and Cara arrived at the hospital, Cara went to get a ticket in the waiting queue. Bella sat in one of the chairs and waited for her.
She felt her heart clench tightly when she saw that photo on her phone. The more upset she felt, the more she wanted to look at it, but she knew that seeing it would only make her feel worse. It felt like a vicious cycle. Suddenly, she heard Sean's voice. "Are you here alone for your prenatal check-up?"
She looked up and subconsciously turned her phone off. "That's right. Am I not supposed to come here alone? Why are you here?"
Sean waved the document in his hand and said, "I'm here to get the results of my check-up. What else do you think I'm here for? A prenatal check-up like you?
"Bella, you're quite pitiful, you know. You should've been with me. At least I wouldn't leave you alone like this."
Sean didn't seem to be mocking her maliciously, which made it hard for her to get annoyed.
Bella couldn't help but laugh. "Stop with the nonsense. Would your dad even allow it? And didn't you block me already? That was cold of you, Sean."
Sean took out his phone and unblocked her number right before her. "Honestly, if you genuinely wanted to contact me, what difference would it make if I blocked you?" "But I know that you had never even considered reaching out to me again."
Bella did not answer him, agreeing to his statement in silence. That was exactly what she thought, and she wanted to let things take their course.
Sean didn't seem to hold a grudge about it as he sat beside her and glanced at her belly. "Considering your current state, Dominic's heart is probably not set on you. "Honestly, a man won't stay completely faithful as long as he is still breathing. Aren't you worried that he might be out there sleeping with someone else behind your back?"
Sean's words hit Bella's sore spot. She pressed her lips together, keeping her expression calm. "There's nothing between us to begin with.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"I'm the one who chose to have his child. He doesn't need to take any responsibility. I'm not asking for anything. Whoever he sleeps with is his business."
Sean's eyes darkened. "If that's the case, why won't you give me a chance?"
Bella joked, "If I'm with you while in such a state, wouldn't your heart 'fly far away' too? You just said it yourself-men can't stay faithful as long as they're alive."
Sean did not look the least bit embarrassed by her retort. Instead, he replied smoothly, "I can marry you. Can he?"
Bella froze. She had never once considered Sean as a potential partner.
To her, Sean was just like the average boy next door, and she saw him as a younger brother. On top of that, he was Victor's son, which made the whole proposal even more impossible.
Sean's behavior was much different
from that of a typical 19-year-old
Sometimes, his persistence was terrifying as he pressed her relentlessly, forcing her to confront
her reality.

At that moment, Cara returned, having completed the registration process. Sean then asked, "Do you need me to accompany you?"
Bella shook her head. "That's alright. Thank you."
Sean stood and straightened out his clothes. "I could insist on accompanying you, regardless of whether you want me to or not, just to prove my sincerity.
"However, I'm afraid that it would only end up upsetting you. Never mind. Let's keep in touch. I'll wait for you until I'm 25 years old."
Bella did not feel a single thing as she watched him walk away. She had only loved Dominic throughout her entire life, and her feelings for him had formed an insurmountable wall around her.
She considered that one day after they were no longer together, time would gradually wear down that wall. But for now, it remained steadfast, and she could do nothing about it. Cara noticed something amiss and started to ask, "That boy was..."
Bella did not explain. Instead, she said, "Let's go. The sooner we finish the check-up, the sooner we can head home."
While waiting outside the obstetrics consultation room, Dominic appeared unexpectedly at the end of the hallway.
He was so striking that many people turned to look at him. Bella had only noticed him due to the unusual
reactions from those around heret
She had followed their gazes to see what had attracted their attention.
