Chapter 29
Chapter 29
The eight girls visit…
“What brings you all here?”
Damien walked past them. None of the eight girls was bold enough to enter through the gate of the compound. He entered through and stood before them, behind the gate.
He was lucky enough to had been able to catch up with the wolf. He had instructed her to take another route to the other safehouse.
Damien looked from one girl to another. They seemed really reluctant to speak. Of course he was there because the system told him that they were there, but he had decided to pretend as though he didn’t care. “Have a nice day, then. I have a lot to do.” He turned away from them, making to walk away “Shouldn’t you at at least invite us in?” He could tell whose voice that was. He turned to them. “And why should I do that? Last time I checked, didn’t your claim to want to be independent. An independent woman should always keep her words, don’t you think?” Claire sneered at his response. Damien didn’t know when she would ever admit defeat. She always had a reaction for every unpleasant experience. “If you can’t speak from outside, you might as well leave.”
He turned away again, determined not to stop again. “Thank you for saving us.” It seemed like he wouldn’t be able to keep his promise. His legs were glued to the earth at those words. And again, he knew who owned that voice and wits. “We came to appreciate the fact that you saved us from the big white wolf.” There was sincerity in Mira’s voice and face. Damien could read it vividly. “But it didn’t seem like that. Or didn’t all of you agree to come and appreciate?!” They all knew whom he was referring to.
“You know how Claire is. She does appreciate too.”
Mira tried to defend Claire.
“I want to hear it from her to believe that.”
All the girls and Damien slowly looked at Claire.
“In your dreams.”
She scoffed. Damien wasn’t disappointed. He nodded slowly.
“All of you can walk in except Claire.”
Mira pushed the gate open and all the girls walked into the compound. Claire rolled her eyes, grunting. She folded her arms beneath her full titties. She was quite busty, but her busts were perky; not too big, not small. Just the perfect size.
“Follow me.” He didn’t really mean to lead them afar off nor into the castle. “Okay fine!!! Thank you!.”
Claire called at him. Damien halted and looked around as though he couldn’t hear, “Did any of your hear anything? Did a ghost just walked by?” “It’s Claire.”
Evelyn said.
I KNOW FOOL, IT’S A JOKE.
Damien wanted to snap at Evely. He couldn’t forget what she had also done to him. “Can I come in now?”
All attention fell back on Claire who had just spoken. Damien walked past the girls back to Claire.
“Not after you speak clearly.”
“This dork–”
Claire cussed under her breath.
“Thank you for saving us from the wolf. Like you would eat that.”
She wanted to push the door open after those forced words but Damien held the door back, “Say it like you mean it and stop making a fool of yourself. Shouldn’t a high-class model know better.”
He scorned. She gritted her teeth. Damien did all that because he wanted her to be remorseful truly and genuinely. He didn’t know why she kept being obstinate and rude. Also, he knew that she couldn’t possibly return to the woods all by herself, she wouldn’t want to die. Who would? This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
“Thank you for saving us from the wolf. Sincerely.” Damien scoffed and let the gate go. She got it and stepped in. He walked to the other girls. He could hear them saying, “Woah, the castle. How huge.” “If I knew I wouldn’t had left.” “This is so big. Damien is a genius.” “I know right. My pussy is wet.” He didn’t let Claire catch up when he said, “Since you have done what you came here for, don’t you think it’s time you left? Like I said, I’m really busy.”
Damien didn’t only pretend to not hear what the girls were muttering, but now was sending them away. His left arm was thrown in the direction of the gate, signifying, get-the-fuck-out of-my-sight. THERE’S NO CUTTING A SLACK FOR Y’ALL ANYMORE. IT’S EITHER YOU SPEAK IN PLAIN, WORDS OR YOU GET NOTHING FROM ME. He thought. He could see the shock traveling across the faces of the girls. “My arm is aching.”
He realized that none of the girls was going to move. But now Tendzel took a step, then followed Laurette. Seeing how indifferent Damien was, Mira stepped forward. “Okay, fine. You got us. We didn’t only come to appreciate. You see, life has been hard for us. The cave is cold and we hardly have anything to make fire with. We starve most of the days and majority of us have lost weight. I’m still surprised why some of us are not sick yet.”. “So, why are you telling me this?” The girls’ jaws dropped at Damien’s response. Not only was the response cold but his face when he said it. They definitely
were not expecting that. They probably had anticipated his sympathy or a great generosity of empathy. No!!! He was a different person now! He’s neither a good person nor a monster. He’s on a fence, a fence built by the attitudes of rich brats like them, who used to treat their dogs better than him!!!
Mira swallowed. Damien was actually expecting Claire to say something so that she could put all of them in trouble. But she seemed smart to avoid the situation. .
“We want to stay with you. Most times when we are in trouble you are always the one who’s there for us. And whenever you rescue us, you do it passionately. I don’t know why yet, but probably staying closer would help us understand you better.” Some of the girls nodded, Few others who belonged to Claire’s group didn’t. Girls like Lisa and Tendzel.
“The last time we were together, I asked you girls a question.” Damien started. He loved how seriously they were looking at him. How expectantly they waited to hear what he had to say. At least if they wouldn’t accord him respect directly, he would get it skillfully. He would make sure of that.
“But none of you were able to answer. I’ll ask the question again.”
He looked from one girl to the other. He could tell that if it were possible, the girls would pluck the question from his mouth.
Damien didn’t want them to be scared of him. He only wanted them to respect him. Is that too much to ask?
But now that they are making things a little bit difficult, he might have no choice but to resort to the first choice. He had enough time to ponder.
“What do you have to offer? I can’t let you live here for free. It doesn’t even happen in our civilized world. You pay rents and buy houses. Take it that I’m the president here… so what will you give me in
return?”
He meant every word he had just said. They could tell. He was different from the Damien who asked the same question few weeks ago. “Did you forget that we also worked hard and contributed to the building of this so called castle?”
That was Claire.
“Claire!”
Evelyn called, but Damien acknowledged.
“She’s right. And that was why I built ten rooms. One for me and nine for the rest. That was a great deal of generosity.”
He paused and looked to Ayisha. He was sexually disconnected from her now.
“Back to my question, what will you give ME in return?” He realized that they wouldn’t come to a conclusion any sooner.
“Pending the time you come to a conclusion, go to the other safehouse and discuss. I’ll be here waiting.” Claire was the first person who hissed and stomped off towards the safehouse. The rest followed.
THAT’S RIGHT.
A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he watched them get to the safehouse. Claire pushed the door open and entered.
“Now!” Damien muttered. Suddenly came the loud cry of Claire. “Wolf… wolf!!!!”
The girls scattered, running in whatever direction the fear dictated. “Yeah!!”
Damien punched the air laughing out loudly. He seemed to be enjoying the show.
YOU GIRLS WILL PAY IN KIND FOR ALL THE PAIN AND HUMILIATION YOU’VE CAUSED. BUT NO HARD FEELINGS. NO ONE IS DYING. “Good job, Der.”
