Claimed by the Bikers A Menage

Chapter 70

She finally calmed down and Ice handed her a bottle of water. As she tried to grab it, she dropped it.

“Ouch.” “Beautiful, what did you do?” Snake asked.

“She beat the shit out of a home wrecker slut! That’s what.” Kim huffed.

“And you guys let her? In her condition?” Snake retorted.

“It happened so fast. She was like a tornado. But the brothers jumped in and broke it up as quick as they could. We had no idea she would attack her.” Kim replied.

“Hawk? Go find Makenzie.” Snake ordered.

“Got it Prez.” Hawk replied.

“How did you know about Smokey?” Sam asked.

“Makenzie called Hawk. We were almost to town, so we came straight here.” Snake explained.

“Thanks for coming. Smokey will appreciate it.” Sam replied.

“You want to explain what happened?” Snake asked.

“Not right now.” Sam replied.

“Girl what have you done?” Makenzie asked.

“She hurt her hand when she punched out a skank.” Raine replied.

“Come on. Let’s go get that looked at.” Makenzie replied.

“I’ll come with you.” Snake offered.

“Ok.” Sam agreed.

Makenzie puts Sam in a room for the doctor to check her hand.

“Sam? It’s nice to see you again.” Dr. Will replied.

“Hi Will. It’s been a while.” Sam replied.

“So, what have you done?” He asked.

“I punched someone.” Sam muttered.

“I see. Well, let me take a look.” He replied.

“Ow, ow ow!” Sam hollered.

“Damn doc, take it easy!” Snake growled.

“We need to get an x-ray, I don’t think you’ve broken anything, but best to be sure.” Dr. Will explained.

“Is that safe with her pregnant?” Snake asked.

“You’re pregnant?” He asked.

“Yes.” Sam replied.

“Ok, well no x-rays then. I’ll wrap it and ice it 15 on and 15 off to help the swelling. Of course, if it doesn’t get better and you have trouble using that hand, you’ll need to come back to have it rechecked.” He explained.

“Tylenol for pain is safe.” Doc replied.

“I’m sure the wrap, ice, and Tylenol will be fine. If it gets worse or I have more trouble, I’ll come back.” Sam assured him.

“How far along are you?” He asked.

“And how is that your business?” Snake asked.

“Lucas, it’s ok.” Sam replied.

Dr. Will wrapped her hand and wrist and had the nurse bring her an ice pack. Sam and Snake went back to the waiting room with the others.

“Any news?” Sam asked.

“Not yet.” Jax replied.

“Waiting is always the worst part.” Sam muttered.

“Why don’t you lean against me and try to rest some? You look exhausted, and that’s not good for you or the baby.” Snake explained.

“Maybe for just a little while. But swear to me you will wake me up as soon as the doctor comes in here!” Sam ordered.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Promise.” Snake agreed.

Finally, the doctor came to the waiting room to update them on Smokey’s condition.

“Hey beautiful, wake up, Doc’s here.” Snake said gently to Sam.

“Mike? How is he?” Sam burst out.

“We did surgery on his right leg and arm. Both were broken and nothing severe. The two main injuries he had are some broken ribs in which one punctured his lung. And the second was the brain trauma. He’s got massive swelling and we had to drill into his head to release the pressure. We also had to put him in a drug induced coma to help allow his body time to heal and time to help the swelling go down. He’s in CCU and only 2 back at a time once they get him set up.” Doc explained.

“A nurse will come get you once it’s ok for you to go back.” Doc replied.

“Thanks Mike!” Sam replied.

Sam and Jax are the first two to see him. He’s got all kinds of tubes and machines hooked up to him. His arm and leg are in a cast, and his head is mostly wrapped in bandages. Sam can see he’s got scrapes and bruises as well.

“Oh God, Jax. I don’t know if I can do this. It’s so much different when it’s someone you love.” Sam whispered.

“I know. But you’re strong Sam. And he needs you now. He needs to hear your voice to have something to fight for.” Jax replied.

“Ok. Sit with me. And tell me who she is and their history.” Sam replied.

“It’s not my story to tell.” Jax grimaced.

“I know. But I need to hear it to try and understand why he did what he did so I can be by his side. Cause right now all I can think about is what I saw.” Sam whispered.

“Fine. Smokey met Jo freshman year of high school. They dated through high school. Jo had an older brother who was in the MC. Smokey’s dad and mine were both also in the MC. I think he was about 4 or 5 years older than us. He was a big muscular guy who worked out a lot, but also drunk a lot too.” Jax begun.

“Did her brother approve of them?” Sam asked.

“That’s hard to say. See he only cared about himself. But far as I know, he never gave them trouble over being together.” Jax replied.

“So why did she leave?” Sam asked.

“When Smokey and Jo were 19, her brother got dog drunk as usual. He got into an argument with one of the brothers. Prez told him to go sleep it off or get some air. He chose to get on his bike and take off. Smokey tried to stop him, but he was no match for Buzz.” Jax explained.

“Why didn’t any of the others help Smokey?” Sam asked.

“The only thing I can think of is most of them disliked him. He was loud and crude, stayed drunk most of the time. He liked to talk too much, and I don’t mean nice talk either. Anyway, he drove off drunk and wrapped his bike around a tree. Dead on impact. Jo of course was devastated and blamed Smokey for not stopping him. Right after his funeral she took off without a word to Smokey.” Jax explained.

“So, text or letter or call? And how long was that?” Sam asked.

“None. About 5 years now. No contact or anything from her. For about six months after she left, Smokey about drunk himself to death. Then he got sober and started sleeping around. Refused hearing or saying her name again.” Jax replied.

“So why now? Why show up after all this time?” Sam asked.

“My guess is somehow she heard he was getting married.” Jax replied.
