“Hmm?” Ice asked still looking at the paper he had in his hands.

“Are you listening to me?” Kim demanded.

“Yeah baby.” Ice agreed.

“Really?” She asked.

“Uh huh.” He replied.

“So, I guess it’s ok for me to go strip since I have no clients for today.” Kim asked.

“What the fuck are you talking about? No way in hell are you stripping! No woman of mine is doing that shit!” Ice huffed.

“So, I have your attention now?” Kim asked.

“Shit! Yes. What’s wrong?” Ice asked.

“Someone cancelled all my appointments for today.” Kim replied.

“Who and why?” Ice asked.

“If I knew the damn answer, do you think I’d be in here asking you?” Kim huffed.

“Look, I’m sorry. I’m just buried up in paperwork and was distracted.” Ice explained.

“Never mind, I’m going to go do walk ins.” Kim huffed.

“Babe?” Ice asked.

Kim got up and walked out. She did walk ins for the rest of the day and left while Ice was still in the office. She was feeling bitchy and decided to go home and take a nice long hot bath. A little while later Ice came out of the office ready to leave. He saw Kim was gone and asked the ladies when she left.

“She left a while ago. I think she mentioned she had some errands to run.” Mallory replied.

“I wonder why she didn’t tell me?” Ice asked.

“Guess she didn’t want you to know when she left?” Mallory explained.

Ice left and went home. He was feeling irritated at Kim’s strange behavior and over what Mallory had said. When he got to their room, she was asleep on the bed. It was just a few minutes after eight, but he let her sleep. He showered, then slipped into bed and pulled her to his body.

The next week passed and Ice turned down advances from Mallory. He didn’t tell Kim as she’s been working extra hard to get her schedule straight from the days, she was sick and the scheduling mishap. Plus, she’s been acting distant and tired.

Her mood swings have been pretty harsh as a few times she has snapped at him over a simple question. Kim went to Raine’s house after work one evening. She needed to talk to her best friend, and she hadn’t seen Maverick in a while either.

Raine and Kim were talking in the living room catching up with what they’ve each missed. Jax was in his office and Maverick was playing in the floor.

“He’s getting so big. When are you bringing him in for his first hair cut?” Kim asked.

“Soon. Now, what’s really going on?” Raine asked.

Kim explained what happened at the salon. The whole situation with Mallory. How she felt uncomfortable around her although she’s always friendly but just gives her a bad vibe.

“And I’ve been feeling off. Really tired and moody. And I’m late.” Kime muttered.

“Come on, let’s go to my bathroom.” Raine replied grabbing her hand.

“Hey Jax, come get Mav for a little bit.” Raine ordered.

“Ok baby. Come to daddy Mav.” Jax grinned as he picked his son up.

They went in Raine’s bathroom. She handed Kim two pregnancy tests.

“Umm, why do you have pregnancy tests?” Kim asked.

“Well, as soon as Mav is a year old, we’re gonna try for another baby.” Raine grinned.

“Oh wow. Jax wants another baby?” Kim asked.

“Yep. Can you believe it?” Raine laughed.

“Now quit stalling and take the tests!” Raine ordered.

A couple minutes later both tests show positive.

“I don’t understand. I have an IUD.” Kim replied.

“They can move and fail. It’s rare but does happen. You need to see a doctor as soon as possible. Plus, how long have you had it?” Raine asked.

“A long time.” Kim replied. “God, this is so not the right time.”

“Talk to Ice. Go home and talk to him.” Raine comforted her.

Kim called Ice and he was still at the Salon. So, she told him they needed to talk and she was on her way. He agreed, which made Kim wonder what was going on with him that he needed to talk about. She arrived at the Salon.

It was after closing time and everyone was cleaning up getting ready to leave. Kim went into the office. When she walked in, she saw Mallory standing beside of Ice. Her shirt was unbuttoned, and she was in the process of buttoning it up.

“Wow. You knew I was on my way and you couldn’t wait? You want to explain to me what the hell is going on here? Is this what you needed to talk about?” Kim demanded holding on to her tears but barely.This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.

“This is a misunderstanding.” Ice begun.

“Really? That’s pure bull shit and you know it.” Kim retorted.

“Look, nothing happened. Nothing has never nor ever will happen with Mallory.” Ice replied.

“So why is her shirt undone?” Kim asked.

“Ya’ll aren’t married. And if you can cheat so, can he.” Mallory threw her two cents in.

“What the hell bullshit are you talking about? I am not a cheater, nor have I ever cheated on Ice.” Kim retorted nastily to her.

“Who’s the guy that’s been calling asking for you every day?” Ice asked.

“I have no idea. Maybe ask who he is? This is the first I’ve heard of it. I mean last I checked this is my shop, so maybe next time let me know so I can ask who the hell he is and why he’s calling, if there is such a person. Really strange nobody knows about him but Mallory!” Kim retorted.

“If you don’t know, why would he keep calling?” Ice asked.

“Why is Mallory in the office, alone with you? With her shirt almost off?” Kim demanded.

“You know what? Forget it. Mallory, you’re fired! Pack you shit and get the fuck out. When I come to work tomorrow, your ass better be gone or so help me God, I’ll throw your ass out after I stomp it!” Kim warned.
