Cinderella And Her Beautiful Octuplets

Chapter 262

“It’s about Grandma Samantha, her sickness is getting worse and if the surgery is not carried out on time, she might die… Adrianna will lose the only family she’s got left” the nurse said with a worried look on her face: Lisa stared at her without saying a word.

She could hear Adrianna’s and her grandma’s laughter. If Mellisa loses her grandma, she might never be the same again.

The reason she had agreed to act as Mellisa was so she could pay her grandma’s bills. Samantha was the only family Mellisa had left, and her dying would make her lonely, she thought, memories of how her mom had died came running into her head.

She felt tears gathered in her eyes but then she quickly pushed it back and then stood up.

“Send me the bills, let’s transfer her to the best hospital in Atlanta and make sure she gets the surgery,” she said and the nurse nodded and with that, she walked out of the house to her car.

She sat in her car, staring into nothing when the door opened revealing Melissa. She entered the car and closed the door.

“Are you done talking to your grandma? I hope you are satisfied now?” Lisa turned to her and noticed the sad look on the little girl’s face.

“What’s wrong?” she asked with a concerned look on her face.

“Is Grandma going to die?” she asked as she turned to Lisa. Lisa stared at her with a surprised look on her face wondering why she would ask such a question or did she overheard her conversation with the nurse.

No, I’m sure she didn’t, she thought while staring at the little girl.

“Why would you ask such a question? She’s not going to die” she said and tears gathered in her eyes.

“Aunt Lisa, I have watched a lot of movies and I know how people act whenever they are about to die and grandma is acting the same,” she said as tears slipped down her cheeks.

“Oh my goodness! Mellisa, she’s not going to die, she’s going to be fine. I had a conversation with the nurse and she said she’s getting better..” she paused and then let out a sigh knowing fully well she was lying and then continued.

“I promise you, nothing will happen to your grandma, I will make sure she’s fully well, I promise,” she said and Mellisa nodded in response.

She glared at her for a few seconds, ignited the engine, and zoomed off at once.

The car came to a stop in front of Colby’s mansion, Mellisa and Lisa alighted the car and walked inside the house.

The house was quiet as usual. She wondered where everyone had gone.

“Back to this boring house again,” Mellisa said as she rolled her eyes.

“Can I go play with the octuplets, and also spend the night with them in their room? I like their room and they seem cool” Mellisa said and Lisa let out a soft sigh.

She knew Mellisa was already sad, maybe playing with the octuplets would cheer her up, she thought, and then nodded in response.

“Go along and play with kids,” she said and Mellisa nodded in response as she rushed upstairs to the kid’s room.

Lisa sighed softly as she decided to go upstairs to her room and rest. She was already feeling tired.

The octuplets were playing in their room when they heard a knock on the door. Allison stood up and went to open the door.

“We weren’t expecting you,” Allison said and Mellisa scoffed.

“Here I am. I went out with my mom to get some new clothes, we just got back” she said as she walked inside the room and Allison closed the door.

“Oh, we were just playing a game, you could join us..” Jayden said and Mellisa nodded and the octuplets stared at each other at once.

They were glad she came back, it was just the perfect time to carry out their plans.

Meanwhile, Lisa had just woken up from her deep sleep and was feeling hungry, so she decided to go downstairs to get some food.

The moment she got downstairs, the door burst open revealing Jessica. She was looking sad and angry at the same time and her eyes were swollen like she had just cried.

She walked past her and climbed the stairs going to her room.

Hmm, she’s calm today and didn’t try to attack me, Lisa thought and then sighed.

Just then the front door opened again revealing Hannah. She had just returned from the company and she was looking so tired.

Hannah stared at Lisa and was about to walk past her when she spoke, making her pause.

“I know you are having an affair with Lucas..” she said and Hannah turned to her looking perplexed.

“You don’t need to hide it anymore, I know you love Lucas, you are everything just like me Hannah, but yet you deny it,” Lisa said and Hannah scoffed.

“You must be crazy. You need help Lisa, you are depressed and jobless and do not know what you are saying” Hannah said and Lisa rolled her eyes.

“I might be crazy but I don’t sneak into my brother’s in-laws room at night and also sneak out.

I wonder how Brandon would feel when he finds out who you truly are, Hannah Rodriguez, or should I call you, Cinderella Mackenzie?

Reason why your ex-husband cheated on you with your best friend, What’s her name again? Rhoda. You belong to the dirt Hannah.

And I promise you, I will make you go back to the dirt where you’ve always belonged” she said and Hannah paused for some seconds as she stared at Lisa. She sighed and moved towards Lisa.

“I think we should get something clear here, Lisa. I’m nothing like you and would never be anything like you. And as for Jeff, he was never mine to keep, he cheated because he wanted to and that has got nothing to do with me.

And as for you, I can’t wait when Brandon finds out you never had a child with you all these years and you never left because of Mellisa because we both know Mellisa is dead” Hannah said and Lisa stared at her looking perplexed, wondering how she knew she never had a child with her.

She might be guessing, she knows nothing.

“You don’t know what you are talking about,” Lisa said and Hannah smiled.

“Really? Then who lived at Peachtree Street?” She said and Lisa opened her eyes and mouth wide in shock. This was the exact place she had stayed.

Just then the door opened revealing Brandon.

“What the hell is going on here?” He questioned the moment he walked in. A cold shiver ran down Lisa’s spine, she knew everything was about to go down.
