Chapter 876
"I don't see it that way," Sebastian said softly. "You're my wife, and I'm his father. It's my responsibility to take care of both of you."
Though unable to understand what Sebastian and Rosalie were saying, the surrounding diners could tell from Sebastian's gentle gestures and tender expression that he was comforting his wife. It was evident to everyone how loving and responsible this man was.
They all looked at Rosalie with envy in their eyes.
Sebastian gently rocked Steve in his arms. "Sweetie, your mommy loves you very much. She risked her life and went through so much to bring you into this world, so Daddy wants her to get plenty of rest. So, little one, please don't cry so hard next time you're in Mommy's arms, okay? It makes Mommy sad."
Rosalie stared at Sebastian, her eyes wide with awe, as though she saw a halo of fatherly love radiating from him.
Sebastian had stayed by her side through her most difficult times. He had cared for and protected her when she needed it most. Even though she had carried another man's child, Sebastian had accepted the baby as his own, caring for him tenderly.
After giving birth, Rosalie had worried she might develop postpartum depression or experience mood swings. However, none of that happened thanks to Sebastian. His presence, his care for the baby, and the emotional support he provided made everything bearable.
It was hard to imagine that in this world, many women had to care for their babies alone after childbirth. They were neglected by their husbands and were left to deal with their emotions alone.
Yet, Rosalie had been spared from all of that because of Sebastian. He wasn't even the child's biological father, but he still did all of this for her.
Overcome with emotion, Rosalie couldn't hold back any longer. She threw herself into Sebastian's arms, holding him tightly. "Thank you...my husband."
Sebastian froze for a moment, stunned by the word "husband." For a second, he thought he had misheard her. His eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at the woman in his arms.
"Rose, you..."
With her emotions overflowing, Rosalie said, "You've been so good to me. I really don't know how to repay you."
Sebastian was slowly but surely breaking down her walls. Legally, they were married, and he treated her so well, even accepting another man's child as his own.
Meanwhile, Theodore had abandoned his own child.
At that moment, her emotions surged like tidal waves, prompting her to call him "my husband." After everything Sebastian had done for her, calling him that felt like the least she could do.
"I'll start calling you that more often, alright?" she whispered.
Maybe she couldn't fully accept him yet, but she was willing to try. She was willing to start with that simple term of endearment.
Sebastian's eyes were tender, and a
glimmer of excitement shone in
them. He fought to suppress the joy bubbling up inside him, his voice hoarse as he replied, "My wife."
He held Steve in one arm and wrapped his other around Rosalie. The three of them looked like a happy family.
A thunderous round of applause erupted from the people around them.
At that moment, the pianist in the restaurant began playing a cheerful, lighthearted melody, dedicating it to Rosalie and her family.
Not far away, Theodore stood
motionless, watching the scene unfold. He seemed frozen in place, as though his soul had left his body. His eyes were filled with an

overwhelming agony. Staggering backward, his legs nearly gave out, and he almost fell.

Aurora quickly reached out to steady him. "Mr. Spencer, let's go. There's no need to watch anymore."
Both had witnessed everything that had just happened, and the sight of it all sent Theodore into an emotional breakdown. This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
