Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 793

Chapter 793

The four of them continued chatting, with Rosalie trying to hide her discomfort while laughing and talking with Rebecca.

Rebecca's memory was fragmented, but she often spoke about how well Rosalie and Theodore had gotten along. Listening to those fond memories, Rosalie felt a surge of emotions; she and Theodore had shared such beautiful moments. It was unfortunate how things had turned out, and now Rebecca was sick.

But perhaps it was for the best that Rebecca remembered only the happy times and not the complications that followed. Still, it was a pity that Rebecca had forgotten that she was about to become a great-grandmother herself.

Throughout the conversation, Sebastian maintained a smile, appearing attentive and gentle; but on the inside, he felt like he was about to burst with jealousy. Hearing about Rosalie's past with Theodore drove him wild.

That man had merely been lucky to have Rosalie for ten years as childhood friends. He didn't deserve such fortune.

Yet now, fate had dealt Theodore a well-deserved blow by taking Rosalie away.

Sebastian wondered if Theodore knew about Rosalie's pregnancy. If he did, why hadn't he reacted? If he didn't know, then it meant Sydney and Rebecca hadn't told him. With Rebecca's dementia, she wouldn't remember, but would Sydney inform her son about Rosalie's condition?

Sebastian's gaze shifted to Sydney, his mind racing with uncertainty. He was also anxious about the possibility of meeting the whole Spencer family today. Rosalie's growing belly wouldn't stay hidden for long. That was why he had been so desperate to get Rosalie to promise not to leave him before they came here.

Unexpectedly, they ended up meeting at this restaurant instead of with the Spencers. Only Sydney and Rebecca were here.

Just then, Sydney lifted her head and met Sebastian's eyes, creating a tense, unspoken atmosphere. A wave of panic washed over him, and he quickly looked away.

What was going on with Sydney? Why was she looking at him like that? He would prefer if she glared at him instead.

"I need to use the restroom," Rebecca said, standing up.

"I'll take you," Sydney offered, moving to help her.

"Let me do it," Rosalie interjected, her eyes pleading with Sydney. She wanted to do something for Rebecca, even if it was small.NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

Sydney nodded. "Alright, go ahead."

Rosalie smiled, and walked over to support Rebecca. "Grandma, I'll help you."

"You really enjoy calling me Grandma, don't you?" Rebecca replied with a warm smile.

"Yes. My own grandmother passed away long ago, so I'd love to call you that. Is that okay with you?"

"Of course! I'd be happy to have another granddaughter," Rebecca beamed.

The two chatted happily as they walked toward the restroom, leaving Sydney and Sebastian alone in the booth. The atmosphere turned tense and awkward.

Sydney sat stiffly, her hands resting on her knees, hidden under the table and clammy with sweat. She didn't know what to say. After a long pause, she finally broke the silence. Content belongs to

"How has Rosalie been lately?"

That was the best she could come up with to start a conversation. She couldn't show concern for Sebastian directly; he would surely suspect something. Content belongs to én.kikistories.com

"She's doing well. She's with me, and I'll take good care of her. I would never hurt her like your son did, Sebastian replied, his disdain for Theodore evident. "How is Theodore doing?" Content belongs to

Sydney forced a smile. "He's fine."

Thinking about how they were half-brothers now fighting over the same woman made her anxious.

"Really?" Sebastian replied, a hint of disappointment in his voice.

Fine? He wished Theodore would just disappear.
