Chapter 48
“Where are we going Jaxton.” Sydney questioned curiously.
“Somewhere. Be patient.” Jaxton responded.
He felt like the perfect boyfriend, ready to surprise his girlfriend and make her happy but unknowingly to him, soon the total opposite would occur.
After about an hour of driving, Jaxton turned of the car engine and removed his car keys from the key hole and then told Sydney she was here now and could see for herself.
Sydney on the other hand who almost died of curiosity wanted to hurriedly open the car door and step out but immediately Jaxton stopped her and then came down first, turned to the passenger’s seat where she was sitting and opened the door for her.
He stretched his right opened hand towards her with his soft fleshed plan revealed, Sydney reached forward for it and fitted her small right metacarpal in it.
“Don’t you ever try open the car door yourself when I’m here princess.” Jaxton retorted.
Sydney tried her best to hide away her red cheeks from him but they was no possible way she could hide it away for Jaxton.
Jaxton on the other hand, felt butterflies in his stomach as he saw this. So he leaned forward, pulled her by her waist and felt a slight peak on her right cheek.
“Shall we…” Jaxton said.
Sydney’s palms still glued with Jaxton’s they both walked majestically into the place.
“Oh my God! You did not have to…” Sydney uttered with a side smile plastered on her face.
She reached out for Jaxton and hugged him tightly, still super excited.
She realized it was the newly built ice cream spot in town.
She recalled watching television with Jaxton and then the ice cream commercial popped up. She remembered telling Jaxton how she wished to visit the place and now he brought her here.
“Thank you!” She added still hugging Jaxton.
“Do you want to squeeze me? Come on, let us go in and have some fun!” Jaxton teased.
Jaxton treated Sydney like her gentleman he was as he even took it upon himself to push Sydney’s seat backwards and when she was in its space he pushed it forward again and made sure she was comfortable.
Soon, the waiter arrived at their table with the menu. Sydney happily and eagerly took the ment and ordered the best she could find. She requested for a combo package which was a mixture of all her favorite flavors and toppings.
The date went on even better than what Jaxton planned. He felt satisfied with what he had done to make Sydney happy and enjoy their relationship.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Seconds by seconds, minutes by minutes, hours by hours the days went by quickly and soon it was weekend over and time for work.
5:30am.
Sydney’s alarm buzzed loudly which eventually did what it was made for and woke her up early enough for work.
Her eyes were still closed a bit though awake as she stretched her body hands apart still in bed.
She lazily pushed her soft white cotton blanket off, fixed her feet into her cotton padded flip flops and headed to the bathroom immediately.
Soon she was done and now clothed in her well ironed office wear and black heels ready for work at exactly 7:00am.
She remembered that she did not arrange her room like she always did and removed her heels to do the needful quickly.
Soon she was done dusting her bed and laying it neatly and beautifully.
She decided to have breakfast which was toast and a glass of orange juice and then headed to her office.

“Good morning ma’am.” Several greetings from the employees were voiced.
It seemed like they were all happier today like something happened as if they all supposedly won a lottery.
Wait, employees were meant to greet each other especially their seniors like in the case of Sydney, right.
But the way they all harmonized it today was different. Sydney could not even see who the greeting came from but just responded anytime she heard a “good morning.”
Soon she paved her way to her office and she noticed a flower on her desk. She hurriedly walked to see who it was from and she soon realized it was from Paxton.
It had a sorry note attached to the side. She admired the flowers so much but wondered why he sent them.
“Was it to apologize again?” Sydney thought you herself.
“Fuck! How foolish can one be? I love Paxton but Jaxton… I can’t treat him this way. Agrh!” Sydney added as she continued to think more.
Still lost in thoughts as for the reason why Paxton had sent her flowers, Jaxton from a distance inquired from his girlfriend who the flower he definitely did not get for her was from.
“Who sent them?” Jaxton inquired, snapping Sydney back from her world of thoughts.
“It’s …” she stammered.
“It belongs to my Colleague who isn’t on the seat.” Sydney quickly cooked up a lie.”
When she noticed Jaxton coming closer she immediately hides the “I am sorry note” which clearly read from Paxton on it inside her black blazer’s pocket.
She still faced the direction of her flowers and felt Jaxton close to her. She could feel his hot breaths on her ear and heart began to pound that he might see the “I am sorry note” somehow even though she already hid it.
Soon, she feels his hands on her waist and he began to flirt with her right in her office.
Even if she was still anxious as hoped he did not see what she was hiding she had to act it up and tried to push me off with the excuse that they were at work.
They are disturbed by a knock on the door. Jaxton adjusted himself and so did Sydney before she instructed the person the come in.
“You should go on. Bye see you later!” She sweetly spoke to Jaxton who in turn obeyed and left Sydney to begin her work.
