The frantic look on her face gave her away but she immediately organized herself,

“Sorry Sir, I was a little startled” she stretched out her hand for a handshake, Paxton watched her, but let it pass since it was her first time meeting with a client maybe she was overwhelmed by the moment,

Paxton found it a bit weird, it’s been two consecutive meetings they had been pressing to get the deal but just his first meeting with her, he immediately gave his approval,

“She does have some luck” this time he had to see the good part of her, noticing she was uneasy, he believes Mr. Godfrey must have done something under his notice to get her uncomfortable,

“Will be taking our leave now,” Paxton stood up taking his hand, Sydney too stood up after exchanging handshakes, and he squeezed her hand one more time

Even without saying anything, she knew the man was looking at her. Sydney smelled trouble and Sydney knew he was plotting something. Something scary. Sydney felt scared. “You can do this, Sydney” She calmly told herself then pull herself together after a while and came out of the restroom but bumped into the man.

“Oh sorry, sorry” lifting her face, it was the devil again, she became nervous and afraid.

“Well well well, if it isn’t the famous stripper then who it is” he cooed,

“I am not a stripper anymore,” she affirmed,

“Quit deceiving yourself, we both know that it’s impossible to hire anyone with that kind of job history unless you told a lie to Paxton.” her eyes widened,

“How was he able to figure that out in just one look?” Seeing her expression, he laughed,

“I might be old but my brain still functions and I know when one’s lying, instilled fear in them and they’ll themselves.” He smirked.

“Damnit, ” She fell into his trap. She actually told him without saying anything.

“What exactly do you want?” She didn’t believe she would ask him this but as supposed the man had something up his sleeves,

“Good girl. Look at you now, so miserable and helpless” he tries to touch her but she quickly stepped back,

“Am sorry but you can’t have what you can’t buy” she sprouted, he looked at her,

“Very fiesty, I’ve always wanted you” he added,

“I can’t give you want you to want just know that,” she folded her arms looking at the old ma who trying to blackmail her,

“Telling Paxton what kind of work you do before would not only affect your present job but all other jobs you might take in the future and not to mention, Paxton has a lot of influence to ruin you. Much more than you think” his words weakened her, at this point she had no going back, the man had made up his mind.

“Sleep with me and your problem is solved, I’ll seal and not tell” she looked at the man in disgust.

“I can’t sleep with you.” She added,

“Am sorry. But this cannot work.” She threw him a glare, that could send him packing out of the earth that very minute, he knew he had his request hurt badly but his conscience would not let him cage her in his restless mind.
