Chapter 22

Locked up again II

Kenzo stood by the mirror, Aziel unbuttoned his shirts, he pulled it off him. Bringing another sleeve he was to wear. He looked straight ahead into the mirror. Intentionally, not sparing Aziel a look. Because he knew what he had to say. And it was obviously about the girl. Why he cared so much. He didn’t mind if she die. He might as well be easier for them all. Less burden. But he noticed she’d strong will to live, even if he was gonna leave her there for over a week. She won’t die.

She was strong yet weak.

Something he still couldn’t understand, what’s keeping her from not giving up already.

“When next I’m having a meeting?”

“The shareholders are requesting for a meeting next week Monday. And tonight You’re meeting with Zara in the for the date.

“Oh!” He almost forgot.

“That’s all for today.”

“Book a place for us. You know what to do, and write a note, send it to my phone. While I’m at the date. I shouldn’t be telling you this. Get prepared. We need Zara on our side.”

“To get revenge on Lord Gilbert.”

“Exactly.”

“We need her also for the election.”

“Now get to work.”

He bow.

“But, I’ve something else to say.”Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

“What do you have to say, just say it.” He said he wasn’t gonna give him chance but, Aziel was someone he couldn’t resist. Whatever magic he was using seems to be working quite well for him.

“I think you should give her some food and clothes.”

“Why?”

“Because she’s different, you know that too. She shouldn’t be hurt this much. She’s weak.”

“Did I hurt her?”

“You didn’t.”

“So?”

“All I ask is that she’s given some food. She could stay there till you deemed fit to let her out of the dungeon.”

He told for a while. Then shrugged.

“Food, give her some and some clothes to change too.”

“Thank you sir.”

“You shouldn’t thank me, you repay me.”

“I would repay you.” He bow.

He fix his tie, and stared at the mirror, admiring his looks. He smirked. A devilish one at that. He definitely had something up on his sleeves. Aziel thought.

“Sir, Ethan is here, he’s seeking your audience.” Ben announced.

His mood changed, just hearing his name. What does he wants?

“I’ll go. I’ll take care of it.”

“Don’t, stay out of it, I’ll handle it my way. He’s my brother after all.”

Aziel nodded and opened the door, for him.

Ethan he would have to say the reason he came here, else he’s not gonna be easy on him.

Elina lay her head on the ground, and tried forcing herself to sleep, she sniffed continuously. Her life was a mess. Well, she thought she was used to it, seems like she wasn’t. Hateful glare, been stroke. All that she wasn’t used to it at all. How she slept that night, she could say, she obviously cried to sleep. Her face was all puffy when she woke up. She was at the corner of the room. Hugging herself tightly. She was hungry and tired. She couldn’t even see either. Every where was dark to her. Even if there was light in the room. She couldn’t see it but she doubt if there would be something as Sure in this place.

He wasn’t just wicked but greedy as well. She could easily spot greedy people, and he was one of them.

She heard the door open, and a faint light came allow with it. And the, whoever came in she didn’t know. But she heard his footsteps. Approaching her.

She had noticed, there was hardly a female in the mansion, she’d seen one. And doesn’t know if he had one.

“Are you alive ain’t you?”

He scoot closer, touched her with the tip of his finger.

“Tell me you’re alive.”

That voice whose. Voice is that.

“Hey!” He touches her hands with his finger.

“Sambas..” She drawled. It was him. The voice was already familiar to her.

He exhaled. He was scared a while back, thinking she died.

“Here. I brought you so clean clothes and some food. Get up and eat..”

“Did he asked you too, bring all these.”

“Aziel asked to bring it to you.”

She sighed.

“Can you eat. Or should I feed you.”

“I can.”

He place the food on her hands. And watched her devour them with her dirt hands.

He was squatting to her height. Watching her eat.

“I’m pretty sure this would be the last time you’ve gonna be lock in here.”

She lift her eyes halfway down the food.

“I don’t think so, I might get down again, cause I might end up killing someone.”

He chuckled.

“You’ve eaten, that’s why you’ve gotten the strength to talk.”

She finished the food before the next word would drop. Taking huge gulps of the water he gave her.

“You’re okay?”

She blinked her tears away. And force a smile. He wanted to give her a hug but he wouldn’t dare, that was not part of it. The master could have his head for it.

“I’m fine, I just want to go home.”

“The home you were running away from.”

“It’s at least safer than this.”

“Where you would get hurt again, you should have seen how horrible you look that time and you want to go back, What are you gonna prove. You’re only going to make it more difficult for you.”

“So, what you should I do?”

“Wait and trained yourself. You’ll be surprised. And when they see you again, you’re not longer the Elina they knew.”

“Why do I feel like it’s never gonna happen to me? I’ll never change. I wouldn’t be accepted here. Nobody wants me.”

“Why would you say that.”

“All I ever do is cause trouble, nothing else.”

He held her hands and squeezed them.

“Just stay here. We’ll help you. Outside here, your life would be in danger.”

“Because of the trouble I’ve caused.”

“Not really. This is the only safe place for you.”

“And what if I get killed here, what if he kills me…”

“Depends on you. Your life depends on you. What are you gonna do?”

“What should I do?”

“That’s what I’m asking you.”

“I don’t know..”

she shrugged, hugging herself. With her leg drew together. Deep in thought. She was scared of him. She was still feeling the pains in her head as he held her yesterday.

How can she stay by his side. Where she knew he was terrifying.

“There’s more to it. Get to know him. You would see, there’s a lot more to him you don’t know. The side he hardly shows the world.”

“Believe it or not. There’s a reason we’re all bonded together.”

She looked at him. She wanted to believe him. But not after all she had seen and had gone through, not after the pains she had received in his hands.

To her, he was no different from a beast.

A man like satan.
