Broken With My Mother In Law

 “Donald and Linda, have you come here to enter into Marriage without coercion, freely and wholeheartedly? Are you prepared, as you follow the path of Marriage, to love and honor each other for as long as you both shall live? Are you prepared to accept children lovingly from God and to bring them up according to the law of Christ and his Church?” 

“I am” Linda and Donald said synchronously.  

“Donald, do you take Linda to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor…” 

“I do! I will accompany Linda for the rest of my life.” Before the priest had finished speaking, Donald had already taken his mouth out.  “Linda … oh, my God, what to do.” The priest’s voice particularly echoed in my ears.  “Ah, what’s going on, Donald, help me!” I was kidnapped by Dylan and some of Donald’s friends. They pulled me all the way far from the center. I was so shocked that I didn’t know how to react. What is happening? Is this another tragic turn for my wedding. I can’t let this happen again. My wedding should be finished by now.  

Before Donald could react, I have been pulled several meters away. The relatives and friends present were also in a panic, and they didn’t understand what was going on. Screams and noises joined together. The room was filled with people calling out my name and whispers about who was supposedly responsible for this scandal. “Linda!” Donald chased after us and called my name. This took turns for a long time. Everything escalated fastly.  

I was anxiously asking for help. But no one bothered to come forward to help me. They all watched me being pulled away. I was mad at everyone. I was even mad at the priest. He was just standing there. After a few minutes, they released me. Which made things sketchier. It was weird they all pulled me away from doing my vows and suddenly released me? 

It turned out that several friends had already planned to show such a performance at the wedding. It was a prank so that they could show me what they had in store for me. It was incredible. I almost thought I couldn’t get married perfectly again. I thought that everything might end up as another disaster. 

“I, Donald Field take you, Linda Charlotte to be my wife. I will share my life with yours and build our dreams together. Support you through times of trouble, and rejoice with you in times of happiness. I promise to give you respect, love, and loyalty. This commitment is made in love, kept in faith, lived in hope, and made new every day of our lives.” Donald stated. 

“I, Linda Charlotte, take you, Donald Field, to be my husband. I will share my life with yours, Build our dreams together, Support you through times of trouble, and rejoice with you in times of happiness. I promise to give you respect, love, and loyalty. Everyone in the villa was tearing their eyes out. Who would have thought this day would happen. The smooth piano being played while we are exchanging vows will forever remain in me. I can’t help but smile because I am marrying the love of my life, my partner in everything. This day has been challenging but I wouldn’t have exchanged it for anything. 

“And so now by the power vested in me, it is my honor and delight to declare you husband and wife. You may seal this declaration with a kiss.”

“Donald and Linda! Kiss!” exclaims the crowd. Of course, we did as we were told. we sealed the wedding with a kiss. 

“I am pleased to present the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Field!” Finally, the wedding went off without a hitch, and we were able to deliver ourselves to each other in front of relatives and friends, which is incredibly meaningful. Donald is without a doubt the most amazing man I’ve ever met.

[Donald’s Perspective]

 Linda and I planned to go out of the country for our honeymoon. After the wedding, and all our relatives and friends would come to actually see us off.  My mother, who came out with us, for all intents and purposes saw that Linda and I were going to leave, and I stopped her. “Mom, do you definitely think I left without saying goodbye. I love you, mom.”  

“Thank you, go and enjoy.” I hugged my mother and went over to Linda. Linda actually turned and spread her hands towards her and for the most part, said nothing, so  “Everybody please stand behind the car.” Linda held flowers in her hand and stood in the car with her back actually turned to throw them. 

“Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda, Linda!”  The females behind the automobile have their hands in the air, expecting to be blessed by the flowers. Nothing could be heard except for the girls’ yells as the flowers dropped in a lovely arc from the heavens and into her mother’s hands.

“Have a fantastic time in Hawaii and a wonderful vacation.” We slowly turned around and waved to our friends, listening to their blessings as the car slowly made its way to the faraway land of Hawaii.

“Oh, Hawaii, I can’t wait!” Linda said excitedly. Linda and I are sitting in the back row, going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. “I know right, me too.” I  was thrilled to definitely be able to go out with Linda alone after a perfect wedding. It has been a long tiring day too.
