Chapter 27 The Condition of Saving Them
"Hem Hem Hem..."
Rejoyla was narrowing her eyes and spitting out water. The knee pressing against her stomach made her feel painful. She tried to move herself away from the knee, but was firmly held down by a big palm behind her back. Her hand clutched randomly until at last she caught a piece of something. She finally felt like she had some support.
When she finished vomiting, her hand was caught. Rejoyla unconsciously grasped tight what was in her hand.
Jason, who was supporting her, said helplessly, "What are you holding onto my belt for? This yacht is not soundproof. I don't want those outside to hear your moan."
Rejoyla instantly let go of her hand and slid along the knee to the ground. She widened her eyes and said, "Lecher!"
Due to being filled with water, her vocal cords were hoarse.
Jason lowered his eyes and stared at the wet woman lying at his feet. Her agile eyes now had lost vigor. Her face was pale and her voice was weak, and the palm prints on her face looked even more shocking. Stroking the blue and purple marks with his palm, Jason asked in a low voice, "Did you get beaten?"
"Yeah, a few women... Ah, Jason, did you stop the ship? There are many women inside. All of them were captured by them. Go save them!"
She had only now come to her sense from the time she jumped into the sea and then was rescued. Thinking of Flora and Melody, as well as the women who helped her escape, Rejoyla's eyes turned
slightly red. She finally escaped, but she must save them and let those human traffickers receive the punishment they deserved.
Seeing Jason remain silent, Rejoyla's heart sank. "You didn't stop them?"
Jason usually loved showing off in front of her. If he had saved them, he would have already told her early on. Now that he didn't say a word, it definitely meant it was too late. Rejoyla got anxious. She supported herself up, saying, "No, I'm going to save them. They're going get beaten for helping me escape. I promised them..."
"You're going to save them? How?" Jason placed his big palms on Rejoyla's waist and half held her to prevent her from falling. His tone was blatantly sarcastic, though.
Rejoyla paused. There indeed was nothing she could do. Now she was so weak that she couldn't even walk to the door. Rejoyla bit her lower lip, encouraging herself. It was no big deal yielding to him. For Flora, Melody and others, she could do it.
Rejoyla adjusted her mood and then slowly raised her head. She blinked and pulled Jason's sleeve to act coquettishly, saying, "Jason, they're so poor. Go save them. You see, I got hit in the face by those bad people. You've got to help me get revenge!"
Huh? No reaction!
No way. When she spoke in such a sweet voice before, Jason almost granted whatever she wanted. Well, not on the bed, though. Why didn't it work this time? NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.
Rejoyla had run out of tricks. She looked at Jason pitifully. Her hand that pulled his sleeve turned into a grip on his wrist. Probably because Rejoyla was too worried, she used a lot of strength, which caused Jason's eyebrows to furrow slightly. He stared at his wrist and then looked up to see Rejoyla's eyes gradually turning red. Her curled eyelashes gently blinked, and sparkling waterdrops
fell, as if falling on his heart tip, sending shivers to his whole body. His muscles tightened up all over.
Jason couldn't help it anymore. He leaned over and lightly bit Rejoyla's pale lips, and the cold touch was different from the warmth of the past. It seemed that she had really suffered this time. He developed a desire to crush things.
"What good would it do me if I helped you save those people?"
Rejoyla's eyes sparkled, emitting a new color of hope. "It'll be a good deed if you save them. Do you need a reason to do good deeds?" A chill ran down her spine. She had a bad feeling about this. No, no, no, it must because she had been in the water too long and caught a cold.
Jason was noncommittal to Rejoyla's words and snorted, "I never make bad deals. I don't know those people, so why would I waste my time on them? You know very well that I've never been a good person!"
Rejoyla's shoulders drooped. Yes, Jason was a bad guy, and he had never concealed this. In fact, she knew what Jason wanted in her heart; she just didn't want him to have his way. But when she thought of Flora's skinny body, the numb and hollow eyes of those women, and the sacrifice they made to help her escape, Rejoyla couldn't casually say - "whatever".
"Well, what do you want? I'll try to cooperate!"
Rejoyla's chin was lifted and she was forced to look at Jason. There seemed to be whirlpools at the bottom of Jason's dark eyes, which anyone would be addicted to at one glance. Rejoyla, however, did not want to get lost inside, so she half closed her eyes and did not look at the beast.
Jason didn't mind. He continued to look at the trembling woman under his hand carefully, and then he said, "I want you!"
Rejoyla gasped. Very well! It was indeed Jason's style, very straight forward. Rejoyla wanted to spit on him, but she dared not.
"Rejoyla, I can wait as long as you want, but I don't know if those women can wait till you make a decision. The most important thing is rescue time. If it's too late, you'll probably never see them again!"
"Okay, I agree!"
Before Jason finished, Rejoyla suddenly raised her eyes and stared at Jason fiercely. She said, "Cut the crap! Go save them!" She might be out of her mind to give in to his request, but it was still unknown who was going to be the beneficiary of the deal. "Just you wait and see!" she thought to herself.
Jason raised his eyebrows, wondering if she was crazy. He actually liked her being savage, since he'd get more joy if he could tame her.
Jason's hand, which was pinching her chin, moved up and pressed against her cold lips. His finger rubbed against her lips for a moment. He looked at Rejoyla's defiant expression, smiled, let go of her, and said, "You take a rest first. Don't go out."
Jason closed the door, completely cutting off Rejoyla's sight.
When the people on the yacht saw Jason, one of them, a handsome man with glasses, came forward and said, "Mr. Sterling, their boss got away."
Jason stopped and glanced at the man, saying, "Oh, he's escaped. I'd love to see who dares to take him in in the Capital City. Archie, it seems you're old, too. How could you miss him?"
The handsome man, Archie, twitched his mouth and continued, "Mr. Sterling, don't worry, I will definitely deliver him to you tonight!" This was simply an insult to him. He let that man escape under
his nose. If he didn't catch him, he'd completely lose his credibility in front of his men in the future.
Jason was noncommittal and walked slowly to the stern of the ship. He expressionlessly looked at the few men tied up and pressed to the ground. Standing next to those men were the rescued women. Jason saw that those women in rags all had numb empty look, and that they were shivering. He felt uncomfortable, picturing what if Rejoyla wound up like this in the future... He looked at the tied men, asking, "Who beat her?"
The men who were tied up were intimidated by Jason's aura, and they all knew they had caused big trouble. They knelt down on the ground, daring not move. They heard Jason's question and looked up inexplicably, unsure of what he meant.
Seeing Jason's angry look, Archie completed Jason's question, "Who hit the young lady wearing a light green shirt that just arrived on your ship tonight? Step out yourself. Don't implicate others."
Everyone gritted their teeth. Sure enough, the newly sent woman had a problem. They didn't understand why the travel time had been changed at the beginning. If they had known who she was earlier, they would never have allowed her to board the ship.
Waston, who was kneeling at the front, quickly begged for mercy, "No, we didn't hit her. She was sent by Baker. As soon as she arrived, the boss asked us to set sail, and soon you caught us up. We haven't even been to the cabin.
"Tut, you're not listening! Did she make the palm prints on her face herself? All right, I don't have time to ask you all. I'll fix you all together."
"Sir, spare our lives! We really didn't beat her. If we had known that the young lady was your woman, we wouldn't have dared to do anything to her."
They were crying like crazy, but Jason didn't want to talk to them anymore, so Archie immediately asked his men to gag them.
Then Flora saw those people who scared her all kneeling down to Jason and begging for mercy. Although this man gave Flora a terrifying feeling as well, she was still more accepting of Jason compared to those bad guys.
She timidly took a step forward and said, "Sir, are you referring to Miss Sterling? I know who beat her." Flora turned around and extended her skinny finger, pointing to the woman in charge and her two subordinates who had been holding each other trembling since Jason appeared. "It was them who beat Miss Sterling. Sir, where is Miss Sterling? Can I see her?"
"No!"
Jason stared the three of them and said calmly, "Archie!"
"Yes, coming!"
"Slap them!"
Archie looked at the place where Jason's finger was pointing and saw three women. He called three of his men over and asked Jason, "Mr. Sterling, how many times?"
"Just make sure they'll be alive."
Hiss, Jason got real angry!
In a short while, the ship resounded with the sound of slapping and begging for mercy, and then the cries of the three women died away until only the slaps were heard. Looking at the bloody faces of the woman in charge and the other two who had once bullied her, Flora was so scared that she ran back to Melody. Melody quickly held Flora and didn't dare to look Jason in the eye. The man was so
intimidating that she dared not even look at him. At the same time, Melody was glad she made the right choice in the beginning. Miss Sterling was indeed no ordinary person, so she didn't have to worry that the human traffickers would come to them again.
"Oh, you saved all of them!"
Rejoyla ran out when she heard the sound in the room. As soon as she saw Flora, she smiled, walking forward, saying, "Flora!"
Jason grabbed Rejoyla with one hand, his big palm across her waist, and turned sideways to block her from the three women. He said, "Didn't I ask you to stay inside?"
"Oh, I heard the sound and just wanted to come out and check." Flora felt relieved on seeing them because she lived up to their hopes and rescued them.
"Now you've seen them. Go back!"
"But..."
"You want me to send them back?"
"I'm going back now!" Rejoyla instantly pushed away Jason and ran back. Jason would really do so. He was a bully!
