Black Rose: Revenge Of The Callous Heiress

Chapter 10

*************

California,

Los Angeles airport.

There were crowds of people who exited and entered the airport. Despite the fact that everyone had their destination to run to, they couldn't help but have their attention drawn to a particular direction.

In that certain direction that had almost everyone in the airport staring at was none other a slender tall man at the height of 197cm. He was wearing a tailored black suit, white dress shirt and black tie. Just take a glance at his dressing, and one could tell instantly that what he was wearing was filthy expensive.

His silky black hair was neatly styled in a short comb over, silver rimmed pilot sunglasses were propped comfortably on his high nose, his thin lips were a shade of peach. He was seductively handsome, however, he emitted a cold and aloof aura.

Trailing behind him was his personal assistant and five fully built bodyguards. Each one of them dressed in black suit with the King crest embroidered on the chest of their jacket.

His assistant who was trying to keep up with his Boss' step while reporting something to him.

"Hm." A deep sound came as a response came from his Boss without him having to open his mouth. However, just after he responded to his assistant, he suddenly stopped walking.

His assistant who was walking next to him frowned when he saw his Boss stop walking all of a sudden. 'What's wrong?'

Among the crowds who were walking out of the airport exit, a young girl dressed in a black fitted pants, white cropped top and a long black coat. Her long hair was tied up in a ponytail and black backpack was hung on one of her shoulders. She was busy staring at her cell phone as she walked, not looking at the direction she was walking towards.

"Ahh!" A loud cry came out of her mouth as she bumped into a hard solid figure. She lost her balance and fell to the ground.

The young girl, who was none other than Rose, stood up from the ground and patted the invisible dust away from clothes. Without raising her head up to look at the person she had bumped into, she spoke.

"I apologize, it's my fault for not watching where I was going. Are you alright?" She finally raised her head up to look at the person she was talking to.

"Uhhhh......?"

Unfortunately for her, the person she bumped into turned out to be a man. However, the man had an indifferent expression on his perfectly sculptured face. God had definitely spent extra time in perfecting this man's face to the point where one glance can make any woman fall in love instantly.

The man was wearing a black fitted tailored and white undershirt which did a good job at emphasizing broad shoulders and a slender body.

At this moment the man's silver rimmed sunglasses hung crooked and loosely on his face. He glared murderously at Rose with his cold and dark eyes.

Feeling the temperature surrounding them drop instantly, Rose forced a polite smile on her face and apologized again. "I'm really sorry, Mister. Are you all right?"

Derek was totally amazed by the young girl who had bumped into his Boss. She was extremely short in height and can even be compared to him who was 185cm. She looked to be around 179cm even with her high heels sneakers she was wearing. Although she was dressed in a simple attire, Derek couldn't help but be captivated by her beauty. In all honesty, he hadn't seen someone this beautiful and attractive before. Not like he hadn't laid eyes on beautiful women, he felt like seventy five percent of their beauty belonged to the makeup they wear. But when he looked at the girl standing in front of his Boss, she didn't seem to be wearing any makeup at all.

However, his Boss was the number one eligible bachelor and handsome man in the world and he has been topping the rankings for over three years now. And everyone knew his Boss is a tycoon and even a multi-billionaire in the world.

Yet this young woman didn't blush or go insane instantly to the point where she would be dragged away.

"Derek, give me a new suit." The man's deep and cold voice brought Derek back from his train of thought.

"Understood, Boss."

Rose pouted her lips when she heard the man's words. She couldn't help but frown slightly before mumbling. "What a rude man."

The man who clearly heard her raised an eyebrow with a glint of danger in his eyes. "What did you just say?"

Angry at the way this unknown person was talking to her with such a tone, Rose's string of patience snapped and she could no longer play nice to him.

"You heard right. I said, you are a rude man! Not only did I accidentally bump into you, but I even apologized like a normal human being should. However, you over here are being very rude! Rude, I tell you! Gosh, are all men nowadays this rude?!!!" Rose lamented angrily at the man standing in front of her. Did he think she would be scared by that deadly glare he was giving her. Once a person dies for the first time and is given the privilege and opportunity to wake up again, there is nothing to fear again in this world. Death is the only thing that makes humans scared and think twice about their decision in life, because no one knows how dying is. And those who had died never returned to tell the others how it felt.

However, Rose knows how it feels to die because she had died once before. But now that she's awake she was scared of nothing, even if a gun was pointed to her head, she wouldn't flinch at the sight of it. Her only concern was to make sure she gets the revenge she wanted before she dies again.

The lines between the man's brow creased into four lines, he stared at the woman, or rather, young girl in front of him. No one has ever dared to raise their voice on him, besides his parents, nor scold him. Better yet, everyone was afraid of him, however, this young girl had so much guts and dared to raise her voice on him.

She even had the audacity to call him rude!

Suddenly, while he was taking a closer look at Rose, he finally realized that her eyes were the color of gray and not blue. The more he stared at those gray eyes the more it felt familiar to him, but he pushed that thought aside because the eyes he remembered had a spark of life in them. But the eyes he was staring at were completely dead, they had no touch of living and life in them, and this was another that caught his attention.

How can a young girl like her possess this kind of eyes, so dark and melancholy as if it was made out of the ashes of people she had killed. Despite the darkness in her eyes, they were beautiful like the thick, prowling, cloud in a thunderstorm.

Especially with her jet-black hair and pale skin, her eyes stood out making them truly mesmerizing.

Rose was oblivious to the man staring at her as she continued talking. "When people apologize for their accidents, be it intentionally or not, it's only normal for the other person to accept or reply. It's common sense that needs to be applied unless I have murdered your entire family, then that is a different case."

.."All the people in the airport who had been watching the entire scene were totally speechless.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
