Chapter 56
Jeorge Milton’s face darkened as he refused to say anything else.
Jeorge Milton kept his present pose after David Irving had departed, repeating it again and over for more than an hour.
He knew she’d be wrapped in Goden Bran’s arms right now without even having to think about it.
It sent shivers down his spine just thinking about it.
He dropped his hand in irritation and set the phone aside, staring at the number on the screen.
If he attempted to move even a little, his damaged leg would be pulled in and he’d be in so much agony that he’d break out in cold sweat.
His leg would most likely pain even if he could walk properly…
The next day.
They did not return to the villa they used to reside in when Goden Bran was released. Instead, they drove to the city’s newest neighborhood and parked their cars in front of the villa. Ava was taken aback and didn’t understand why he had brought her here.
As he drew her closer to the villa, the corner of his lips curved up.
As she followed him in, Ava’s eyes flashed a little grin. Almost everything was already set up inside, and the décor and furnishings were all brand new.
“Why did you bring me here?” she asked, smiling as she took in her surroundings.
He grinned and drew her close to him. “This site will be our new home in the future,” he muttered as his giant hand softly stroked her hair. “Do you like it?”
She raised her eyes to his. “Really? But why move when the previous home was so nice?”
“Besides, you must have spent a lot of money on this property; since you’re short on cash right now, wouldn’t it be a waste to spend it here?”
He gave her a slight grin as he touched her face with his enormous hands, softly moving the hair behind her ears at the side of her cheekbones. “How could it be a waste for you to utilize it, Sweetheart?”
“I don’t want you to think about those horrible memories in that home over there; can’t we just start here?”
“I said, I’ll treat you well,”Goden Bran replied, holding her exquisite tiny hand. “Ava, it’s only a home, I can’t wait to offer you everything in the world, do you understand?”
Ava was a bit shocked as she listened to his profound sentiments.
Did he really understand what it meant to love her?
It is said that men would do the wrong things because they are embarrassed of you and will grasp the need of treating you properly to compensate for their feelings of unease and guilt.
Which kind would he be in such case?
“How come you’re staring at me like that?”
With a grin on his face, he asked, but his heart was at a loss.
Her stare conveyed a degree of inquiry, a degree of conjecture…
“Others say that only when a man has done something bad will he treat the woman beside him well, in order to make up for the guilt in his heart. Goden Bran, are you such a person?” she asked, tilting her head and smiling sweetly as she asked, When he heard, it appeared as though he had struck the nail on the head, and his countenance altered quickly.
He was rigid, even though he wanted to grin.
“What? Are you furious?”Ava asked, sensing something was wrong and assuming he was angry.
“I was simply kidding,”
He grinned and drew her into his arms after raising his eyebrows. “Ava, I treat you well. I feel bad. I was too cold to you before, so I want to make up for it,” he tenderly held her and said in a deep voice.
Ava’s heart sank when she heard this type of explanation.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
“That’s all I need right now; I’m pleased.”
She never expected much from him as long as he loved her and his heart…
She could disregard her own circumstances and give him all her father had given her, just as she could ignore her own situation and offer him everything her father had given her. She merely wanted to assist him get over his troubles at the moment, not for him to do great things…
She knew Goden Bran had a lot of ambition, so she couldn’t help but back him up.
Goden Bran took a step back and gave her a kind grin. “Come, let’s go upstairs and have a look,” he urged, clutching her hand warmly.
“Alright.”
Ava’s face overflowed with a delighted grin as she followed him up the stairs and gazed at their new home. She fell in love with it even more when she saw the large balcony that stretched out from the master bedroom. She strolled out onto the balcony, eagerly pushing open the windows.
He hadn’t dared to harm her pristine appearance.
This was due to the fact that he was no longer a pure person with a pure heart. But now he lusted after her innocence and wished to possess it.
Goden Bran stood in front of the glass, watching her beaming face. His tiny lips curled slightly as well.
“Daniel, in the future, we can look at the night sky here, and in the morning, we can also look at the sunrise,” she said. “You know, I like this kind of balcony, it gives me such a good feeling, and when I get home from work tired, I can also lie in this couch rest, how good.”
He acknowledged to being selfish.
He was filthy, she was pure. He feared losing her no matter how firmly he gripped her…
“What happened to you?”Ava Lins asked.
“Is there a problem with the company?” she asked, recalling his recent phone call.
“Tell me what happened?”
She was anxious as he grew quiet.
Goden Bran sighed and chuckled, confusing Ava Lins. “I truly enjoy the sensation I have now, I appreciate the sense of you caring for me,” he said.
