Billionaire’s Second Chance Sweetheart

Chapter 31

She moved hurriedly, head down. No one knew she was already crying…

Only Jeorge Milton saw that rushed back .

He had sent Feru over, and when he heard the fast footsteps, he believed it was Feru. When he looked up, Ava Lins had already left.

Seeing her walk away, he extinguished his cigarette and was going to pursue her when Feru appeared next him.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

“Remember to drive back, I still have stuff to do, so I won’t be over tonight!” said Jeorge Milton.

He stopped speaking and rushed towards Ava’s back, without waiting for Feru to reply.

“Hey!” brother! ”

“So you’re serious about this?”Feru said, his eyes locked on Jeorge Milton’s back.”

Jeorge Milton smiled and shook his head before driving away.

Jeorge Milton caught up to her in a few strides, reaching out to seize her wrist.

Her delicate wrist held her, and all he saw was her tearful face.

When Ava realized it was him, she reached out to wipe away her tears.

“Why are you crying?”

“None of your business.”

“Leave.”

“Due to your sister?””…

He assumed her melancholy stemmed from the fact that she had fled the hospital.

Ava didn’t want to explain. “Jeorge Milton, don’t you care too much? Let go of me!” she said angrily.

She pushed him away and went to the roadside before hopping into a cab.

But Jeorge Milton was quicker; he had already forcefully held the car door, preventing her from closing it.

The driver turned around and stared at them puzzled.

“Jeorge Milton, please keep away from me!” yelled Ava.

He opened the door, slammed it shut, as if he hadn’t heard.

He grabbed her wrist as she was ready to get out of the car. His dark eyes glared viciously at her, and she glared back.

“I want out!”

“Drive!”

They nearly spoke at the same moment.

This made driving much more difficult. After many years as a cab driver, he had never witnessed a young couple causing a scene.

“You should simply go home and dispute,” he moaned.

Jeorge Milton arched his brows, a thin grin in his dark eyes. “Don’t listen to her” he told the driver.

Ava couldn’t do anything since the car was ready to start, and he had his arms too tight over her, preventing her from getting out.

“Don’t touch me!” she screamed, unable to speak.”

She sat close to the door, her eyes still moist.

He wished he could reach out and wipe away her tears…

But all he could do was watch.

“Your sister’s affairs, will arrange for a decent prosthetic limb to be utilized for a length of time after rehabilitation so that she may walk properly,” Jeorge Milton said tenderly.

He hoped she’d be pleased at least.

“Do you think I should thank you?” she said, her eyes welling up with tears again.

“A person like you would never understand other people’s bitterness and if it occurred in you, you would never realize how awful it was,” Ava said coldly, looking out the window.

“Why would I want to see you now?” Only you, only your encouragement can make her feel less desperate…”

Ava resented Jeorge Milton’s presence at times.

Tianra adored him…

But what could she do as Tianra’s sister?

Jeorge Milton’s ebony eyes glistened with helplessness as he heard her reproach and anger. His sword-like brows furrowed hard as he tilted his head to stare at her…

He drew his gaze back and stretched his hand to grab hers. His lengthy fingers slipped between her fingers and firmly clasped them. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t…

“Since your sister needs me so much, please remain by my side.”

A man who solely cared about his possessions. He never considered how others might suffer…

“I overestimated you, so I assumed you were still human,” Ava mocked angrily.

“Very excellent, you seem to be comprehending me,” Jeorge Milton said, his face darkening.

Hearing this made Ava angry. He wanted to remove her hand, but he couldn’t.

However, a single pull from him knocked her down, and she felt the terrible aura emanating from his body.

He went close to her ear and said, “You hate me?”

He gazed at the wrath in her eyes, and the corner of his lips twisted up beautifully. “I simply want to keep you by my side.”

He would detest her if he couldn’t love her. Hate her to the core . At the very least, he had a place…

His deep voice was quiet, making his emotions difficult to discern. But Ava sensed its deterrence.

“You were odd!”

As she spoke, she tightened her teeth. But he chuckled warmly and let off slightly, enabling her to sit correctly. But his grasp on her hand didn’t budge.

No one spoke until the car halted in front of his house.

“Jeorge Milton, it’s not a weekend,” she said as she approached the door.

He began. He realized she was reminding him that it was not the weekend. Was he not entitled to visit her?

His chest tightened and his face clouded. “Don’t remind me!”

“Please let me go.”

Jeorge Milton gave her a sidelong glance and remained silent. Was she reminding him to keep his word?

When had he ever seen a lady so excited about the weekend?

But she recalled she had to leave him often. A day before, was it torture to see him?

He had even missed tonight’s family dinner to be with her, but she kept finding excuses to leave him.

“Do you honestly think I want to see you that much?” shouted Jeorge Milton, who had never been treated so badly.

“Ava Lins, are you too serious?”

“I never imagined you’d just want to see me,” Ava said sadly.

He scoffed, laughing at himself for being funny. “Don’t remind me of our relationship!”

He turned away. “Leave now if you wish!”

He was enraged, but she obeyed and fled.

Jeorge Milton felt insane looking at her, and he longed to be with her!

It was dark.

Goden Bran stared out the window into the night sky, where a chilly breeze blew.

Guilt grew in his heart as he remembered her fleeing away, fighting back her tears.

Maybe she simply didn’t mean it. His grandmother’s filial piety was not an act. Seeing his grandma nearly die must have hurt her heart more than he did.
