Chapter 385
Chapter 385
Luca’s pov
This night had taken an entire different turn than I had anticipated, to my utmost shock.
I thought to myself as I sank into the chair in my office. That had been where I had ran into because I
couldn’t bring myself to go up to the bedroom along with Sofia.
Not only have I managed to make things even worse between us, I’ve managed to hurt her so much in
the process.
If I had continue to kiss her and touch her like I usually do, then I’d have been feeling guilty that I was
touching her intimately with the same hands I had used to touch another woman.
Never have I felt this much conflicted in my entire life, and Lola’s sudden, unexpected arrival to my club
tonight, had only made things so much worse for me tonight. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
I had promised myself that I was going to give her a toast tonight and try to make her feel really good
about herself, and to offer her emotional support which I knew damn well that I should have shown her
throughout the whole of today. I had told myself I was going to do all of that, right before Lola had
showed up and turned everything completely around.
When Kayla had suggested that we all go dance, I knew I wasn’t Sofia’s favorite person right in that
moment and I wasn’t sure how she’d feel if I take her to the dance floor only for things to be extremely
tense between us, and so I remained silent until she voiced out something about being tired.
When she had been dragged off to go dance with Kayla, I hadn’t been able to take my eyes off hee, all
the whole imagining myself on the dance floor with her, while my hands brushed over her waist and
hips.
Travis went off to the restroom and James said he had to head home, which was shocking because
venues like these were usually James’ favorite places to be in. I didn’t pay it much heed because Sofia
had all my attention.
Everything was still fine until Lola suddenly showed up out of nowhere, sinking into the spot beside me.
My eyes had widened in shock and I had hastiky put some space between us, while throwing a quick
look over at Sofia and Kayla, who were thankfully lost into each other.
“Are you crazy?” I demanded while looking her up and down. The dress she had on now was a baby
blue color, but the cleavage of the dress was nonexistent, and it stopped just beneath her butt.
“What the fuck are you doing here?”
I watched as she rolled her eyes. “To have fun, obviously. It’s a good thing that I coincidentally ran into
you right now, you look good enough to eat, Luca.” She murmured while her tongue grazed her lips
seductively.
Meanwhile, I was thinking up ways in which I could use to kill her in that very moment.
“You most be insane. You don’t do things coincidentally, are you stalking me now?” I demanded once
again.
“You must think very low of me to think I’d ever do that. Of course I’d never stalk you, this is nothing but
an innocent coincidence.” She argued, having the audacity to appear a little hurt.
“Okay? Now leave then.” I spat out but she only huffed and then her eyes strayed towards the dance
floor.
“I’ll leave after I exchange a few words with your wife.” She eyed me up a little. “Your wife is extremely
nice and encouraging, a cute little thing, surely she wouldn’t be that patronizing if she knew what
actually went down between the both of us some weeks ago.”
My blood boiled as she spoke and I resisted the urge to strangle her in that particular moment.
It wasn’t long before Sofia and her friend returned from the dance floor, and Sofia obviously didn’t look
happy.
‘Shit’
I thought to myself as I watched with anger as Lola kept on talking with Sofia, acting like they were
suddenly best friends, meanwhile all of these is literally just an act.
It made me extremely angry and even though I tried to tune them out, at a certain point, I couldn’t take
it any longer, and so I politely asked that she come with me so we could discuss something.
Lola already knew I was going to go off on her as soon as we’re away from ear shot, which was why
she instantly began to speak before I could begin.
“Before you start to go off, I was only–”
“Are you insane? The fuck do you think you’re doing right now?” I demanded harshly, instantly cutting
her off.
“I was making friends with her!” She responded and I scoffed.
“You’re insane, Lola. Do you hear me? Make friends with who? Stay far away from her. If you ever go
close to her again, you’d be going against my direct order as the mafia lord of this city, is that clear?”
“I only wanted to make friends with her and nothing more, is that a freaking crime?” She huffed out and
once again, I resisted the urge to strangle her.
“It’s a crime, Lola. So, stay away from the both of us.”
“You didn’t have this energy when you were fucking into me weeks ago.” She pointed out.
“That was a mistake which would never happen again. So, stay away. Good night.”
I rubbed my fingers against my forehead as I let out a long sigh. My head was pounding really hard, I
wasn’t sure I’d be getting any real sleep tonight.
I reached into the drawer beneath my desk and fished out an aspirin, and then I chugged it down with
some water.
I needed to fight all my wrongs with Sofia, as fast as possible.
There were a lot of things I needed to take care of, starting from a few of the neighboring Mafias who
were plotting together to take me down, and then the unfortunate person who had sent those guys in
black to Sofia’s art exhibition today.
I had so much to do, but unfortunately, my mind was too clog up with thousands of thoughts from Sofia
to actually be able to focus on anything else.
It’s going to be a long night for me.
