CHAPTER 5

ANNABELLE

I stared at him in shock as he spoke. My body felt weaker as the little power left me.

It was then I realized what had happened. My wolf had healed him.

But how?

I could feel her poking her head as if wanting to take control. Wasn’t it this wolf that I had wanted to help me when I was caged between the three men?

How did she suddenly find the power to heal him when all this while she had been weak? It was something I couldn’t fathom, but I was a bit glad even though I felt weaker. And as if just realizing that he spoke, his eyes widened.

“What?! Did I just…”

“Yeah…”

He shook his head in a state of confusion and touched his throat before a wide smile grew on his face.

“I… I… I can speak!” he exclaimed happily, making a weak smile also grow on my face.

His smile made me forget for a moment what had happened to me today. It was so contagious and beautiful.

He was beautiful.

“What just happened? How did it happen?”

I shrugged, not knowledgeable enough to explain to him how my wolf had healed him. It was still a mystery to me as I didn’t know that my wolf had such healing powers.

“I’ve been trying so hard to speak again since the incident thirteen ye-” he immediately clamped his mouth shut as if trying to stop himself from saying something important.

I was sure he was trying to say something about thirteen years ago, but stopped himself, making me a little bit curious.

“What happened thirteen years ago?” I asked him, curiosity cating inside of me.

“Never mind. He replied, his face back to his usual ruthless mode. “Buckle your seat belt. I’m taking you home.” He said.

1 did as instructed and buckled my seat belt, still feeling so weak.

I didn’t want to think about the fact that I was bought by him to satisfy him in bed. I wasn’t ready to think deeply about that. In fact, I was quite grateful that I wasn’t raped by three men against my will.

But I was still a sex slave, and my body would be used against my will.

That thought alone made me grunt sadly.

But at least, it wouldn’t be worse since it was just one man…

I tried to console myself, battling within myself to accept my new life when I dozed off.

I felt someone tapping me, disturbing my peaceful sleep, making me open my eyes. By the time my eyes were open and I could see the beautiful sight before me, my mouth joined in awe.

The castle was what was called the epitome of beauty, and this was the first time in my entire life seeing a castle.

Though I’ve heard stories about castles, I had never seen or laid my eyes on one, but now it was different.

“Get up.

We are here.” He informed me when he saw that my eyes were open. I unbuckled my seat belt and was about to open the door from inside when he stopped

Tll do that.” He said, opening the driver’s seat to alight from the car so he could come to mine. But being the stubborn girl I’ve always been, I opened my side door even before he could reach and came out. He gave me a disapproving look as he jammed the door shut, passing his key to the valet.

“Follow me.” he instructed, moving towards the castle.

Again, I stood akimbo, gawking at the castle before me. As if realizing that I wasn’t following him, he strode towards me, held my hand, and led me inside the castle.

Though it was late at night, the light illuminating the castle was bright enough to see how beautiful it was. It was as if the light gave it its magical look.

There were servants lined up in a row as they welcomed him.

“Welcome. Alpha.” They bowed their heads as he passed in their midst, with a red carpet

my head on the ground leading into the majestic entrance hall of the castle. I bowed also as I stepped on the red carpet, which I felt undeserving of.

Suddenly he stopped, making me hit my face hard on his back, almost breaking my already broken nose in the process.

“Ouch…” I murmured in pain, rubbing my nose.

“Head Omega,” he called, facing the group of servants. They all looked so shocked as they stared at Alpha Derek, quite surprised that he was already speaking, but didn’t the mind question him.

her face.

“Yes, Alpha.”

“Take her to her room and assign a servant to her.” Alpha Derek instructed.

“Your wish is my command, Alpha. The Head Omega replied, and with that, Alpha Derek left the premises, leaving me in the midst of some strange–looking servants.

“Miss, please follow me.” The Head Omega spoke, and I did as instructed, following her as she led me through a series of stairs. All through the time I followed her, the smile never left her face until we arrived in front of a room.

“This will be your room, ma’am.” She bowed, making me feel a little bit awkward.

“Please, don’t call me ma’am. I’m Annabelle.” I introduced myself, and she gave me a small smile.

Chapter 3

Please allow me to call you ma am. I feel more comfortable doing that. You’re the Alpha’s guest; hence you deserve some respect.” She stated respectfully, opening the door of the room.

I didn’t have anything to say, but my mouth flew open when the door to my room opened.

“Wow!” I didn’t know when I exclaimed. The room was fancy and cozy. The walls were adorned with colorful tapestries that kept the room warm. The bed, fluffy and big, was about three times the size of my bed back at the Red Moon Pack. There was a table for getting ready, a big mirror, and a fireplace that kept the room warm. The room was fabulous, and it felt like I was being given a queen’s room due to how beautifully adorned it was.

“Head Omega, you called for me.” A petite young lady said as she entered the room.

“This is your personal maid. Her name is May. I hope you will be well served by her. She is a diligent and loyal servant, and I trust she will attend to your needs with the utmost care. I’ll take my leave now.” She bowed curtly and left the room.

Hello, May.” I waved at her, and just as I was introducing myself to my new maid, a loud shriek echoed through the hall, and a furious woman stormed in, slapping me across the face, leaving both me and May in shock.
