The Less Evil Kelly's POV
"Sara..."
I looked at Caleb when he said those words like he knew Sara Foster long long ago. His eyes were directed at her and I can see gentleness in it. The strong facade he's keeping seemed to have collapsed and I saw a vulnerable man I've never seen before. He knew her? How?
Sara's eyes went through me and found Caleb behind me and her expression slowly changed, making me even more suspicious.
They definitely know each other.
Caleb cleared his throat as his hand slipped between my arm and my waist. "Kelly, I got to go."
I nodded at him, still suspicious. "Hmm! Thanks again for visiting."
I watched Caleb as he walked in front of Sara who looked away. vas obviously avoiding him. My hunch was confirmed when I saw Caleb glanced at Sara Foster ayn and her husband was looking at him with an angry face. Sara cleared her throat. "Is she my niece?"All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Clenching my jaws, I walked towards the bed where Snow was peacefully sleeping. Ana was constantly glancing at me as if waiting for me to make her do something. Meanwhile, Emily was now standing on the other side of the bed, watching Sara and her husband. "What are you doing here?"
"We came here to visit, Kelly. Come on! She's my niece. I'm worried about her."
"I don't believe you. If you want something, just tell me directly, Sara."
Her smile faded as she completely faced me and proudly lifted her chin. "Make Wes the Vice President of the company."
I glanced at her husband who's eyeing me with a dark expression on his face. I find it ridiculous so I didn't suppress my laughter. Sara and Wes looked at me, offended.
"I'm not joking, Kelly. Make Wes the Vice President or I will make sure you'll regret it!"
I smirked. "I wonder why Connor didn't make him or you the Vice President of the company. Is it that you're backstabbing each other?"
"That's none of your business, Kelly! I want you to do what I'm telling you to do or..."
"Or what?" I took a step closer, intimidating her. "I don't accept requests from someone with such an attitude, Sara."
"I am not requesting! I'm ordering you to obey me!"
"And if I don't?"
She smirked. "The whole world will know how sick of a whore you are. Fcking three men at the same time, huh? I knew everything was just an act. You're playing with Caleb, Pierce Anderson and Klay Carver in your little slutty hands! You greedy witch!" I shot her menacing stares as I slowly walked towards her again. She seemed intimidated but she stood

courageously, trying to equal the burning anger in my eyes.
"You don't know anything, Sara. You are just a subservient wife and sibling to your husband and brother. You don't even know what's going on in the family you belong in. I suggest you know the real face behind everyone around you before you make such an impulsive move." "You don't get to tell me what to do, Kelly! I am still your aunt!"
"You are but I won't let you ruin my life and your mother's legacy."
"You think I'm ruining this family? I'm not! I'm just trying to get what I deserve because I was the one who took care of mom when she was on her deathbed!"
I lifted my chin. Her mother is not her responsibility since she didn't ask to be born, but taking care of her own mother while dying in deathbed is the first thing a child would do and she shouldn't ask for something in return for doing that. If her love for her mother is genuine, she shouldn't feel a burden taking care of her.
"You're lucky you get to see your mother dying in deathbed. You're lucky you were the one who took care of her. If I get to experience the same thing, I will never ask for something in return."
She laughed sarcastically. "Now you're making it look like I'm the bad guy here. I took care of her and it's natural for me to get so hurt and mad that she didn't leave any single property in my name. Instead, she gave everything to the child she lost a long time ago!" She's full of hatred and I know I don't have the right to tell her to forget about that because I myself, my heart is filled with hatred. It's hard to be betrayed. She was betrayed too, but it's all because her mother suffered losing a child.
Sara Foster isn't like Wes, her husband, Connor, and Diane. She's not as evil as them. I read every single detail about their background and backstory but I know there's still something missing.
"I lost my mother the same day I lost all the rights to carry the legacy of my parents, Kelly! Can you blame me if I try to seek for something I deserve after everything I've been through? You must've heard things about me but not the whole story. This family has a lot of flaws and I know everything!"
"Why don't you just help me, Sara? Help me investigate my mom's death."
She laughed sarcastically as I saw tears pooling in the corner of her eyes. "Help you and then what? After you get everything, you'll drop me like a hot potato? I haven't lost my mind, Kelly. Just give me or my husband a position in the company and I will never interfere with your life. That's all I'm asking and I know it isn't so hard. It won't even cost you a penny."
"This isn't about money, Sara. This is about justice. My parents were murdered and you don't know how it feels like to learn about this while struggling to fix my own life."
She shook her head and laughed. "You don't tell me what struggle feels like. You haven't experienced the same pain I've been through... And I didn't come here to have a competition who among us had a hard time. I came here as your flesh and blood wanting to be part of my parents' company. Connor deprived me of that right, Kelly, and if you do the same, I'll make sure you'll regret it."
I wasn't given another chance to speak when she turned her back and walked out of the room. Her husband followed her shortly.
I sucked my breath and massage my nose bridge. Ana and Emily are looking at me but I didn't pay attention to them. I felt something in my heart. It's making me feel bad that I'm doing this selfish thing.
However, if I let them in the company, it would seem like I'm housing a wild animal that would attack me eventually. I just can't take the risk. It's too dangerous.
