Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 258

Chapter 258

Mikayla saw the man who abducted her enter the room.

The man chuckled when he saw her awake. “Mr. Lane, she’s awake.”

As he spoke, he moved aside, seemingly making way for someone else to enter.

Soon, footsteps sounded.

A man wearing a dark cont entered the house.

When Mikayla saw the man’s face, she was shocked.

It was Johnny!

Wasn’t he taken away by the police for investigation? Why was he here?

Mikayla had a bad feeling about this.

Johnny resented her and even threatened her before. Jerome gave him a hard time as well. His hatred toward her must’ve grown deeper.

Now that he had brought her here, he wouldn’t give up easily.

“Well, well. I didn’t expect you to look even better in person than in the photos.” Johnny’s cold eyes flickered with arrogance. “Should I address you as Mikayla or Mrs. Miller?”

This was the first time Mikayla was directly meeting Johnny.

Compared with the last time she saw him from a distance in the restaurant, Johnny seemed much more haggard now.

His hair was unkempt, revealing his bald forehead. His coat was wrinkled with dirt stains on the cuffs.

He didn’t exhibit the image of a successful business man at all.

Mikayla remained calm after looking at his expression.

She replied, “Either title is fine.”

Upon hearing this, Johnny ordered the abductor arrogantly. “Help Mrs. Miller up! How can she speak while

lying on the ground?”

The abductor quickly walked over to Mikayla and dragged her up. He tried to make her kneel in front of

Johnny.

Mikayla felt humiliated and struggled. The abductor pressed her down onto her knees forcefully.

Her knees hit hard on the concrete floor, causing a sharp pain to her knees.

She couldn’t move at all with her hands tied behind her back.

Johnny’s eyes scanned Mikayla.

He admired her miserable state and let out in contemptuous laugh. “What’s so great about being Mrs. Miller? You’ve fallen into my hands.”

“Mr. Lone, why did you bring me here?” Mikayla tried not to show her fear.

“What do you think it’s for? You despicable bitch! Look what you have gotten me into. Didn’t I warn you to mind your own business? You didn’t take my words seriously. I’m not letting you off now!” Johnny replied.

Mikayla knew his reputation in the industry was tarnished. The chance of him regaining his success was almost impossible, and he could even be imprisoned.

All these made him ruthless. Mikayla couldn’t afford to provoke him or confront him head–on. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

She replied calmly, “Mr. Lane, it’s true that I helped Betty, but it was purely for my own benefit. I didn’t harm you. I held no grudges against you or whatsoever.”

“Stop giving excuses. I’ve heard that you’ve been actively involved in ruining me. Not to mention, your husband got me investigated by the police, which led to the loss of my distillery. You have to pay for what happened!”
