Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 102

Chapter 102

Jerome paused and looked at Mike.

Mike quickly handed Jerome’s phone to him.

“Mrs. Miller is trending on the internet,” he said.

Jerome took the phone and read the headline.

Apart from the accident at the party, Mikayla getting drunk was at the top of trending.

Tapping into the topic, the first picture that appeared was Mikayla standing alone on the dance floor.

The second picture showed her taking a swig from a bottle of wine.

The third picture was her holding an empty bottle. Her eyes were teary and swollen.

A caption was attached with the pictures.

“An accident occurred at the Millers‘ party. Mr. Miller escorted an injured woman, leaving Mrs. Miller alone. She got drunk and cried alone. The two seem to be on the verge of divorce.

In the first picture, Mikayla was standing alone in the middle of the dance floor.

Her expression was clearly dispirited and lonely. Making the suspected divorce in the caption even more

convincing.

Many comments under the post mentioned they had never heard of Mikayla before.

However, there were people in the loop commenting that Jerome’s and Mikayla’s marriage was a loveless forced arrangement between two families.

It was even rumored that they’ve already signed the divorce papers, and that a divorce was just a matter

of time.

Apart from that, someone shared a video of Mikayla getting drunk at the party.

Clicking onto the video, Jerome saw Mikayla raising the bottle of wine.

“Men are all bastards!” she shouted.

Betty, who was next to her, raised her glass in agreement.

After that, Mikayla leaned on Betty’s shoulder.

Her face was red from crying.

Jerome frowned.

His grip on the phone tightened.

“My apologies, Mr. Miller. I didn’t manage to take Mrs. Miller home in time. I’ll contact the public relations department to get the topic removed from the trending tab immediately.” Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Jerome glanced at his phone again, and his expression darkened.

That might not be necessary.”

With that, he gave his phone to Mike and walked toward the elevator.

Mike looked at the phone in confusion.

Apparently, Mikayla made it to the top of trending again.

This time, it had a much more controversial title.

“A woman drinking is not a sin.”

Out of curiosity, Mike tapped into the topic and found that people were taking note of the bottle of wine Mikayla was holding.

The design of the bottle was elegant and artistic, whether held in hand or placed on the table.

Some had commented that, although Mikalya looked pitiful when she was drinking alone, it also looked somewhat aesthetically pleasing to them.

Someone even discovered that the wine she was drinking was a new product from Ansoft.

Ansoft’s official account even commented under a

This c comment had garnered tens of thousands of likes.

The comment resonated with a lot of people and agreed with the comment.

“Why does no one make a fuss when men get drunk? But when a woman drinks, everyone starts making a big deal out of it?”

“The societal expectations for women are too unfair! Women should be allowed to release stress

however they want!”

“It shouldn’t be shameful for women to get drunk! We have the right to express our emotions as well!”

As a result, people flocked to Ansoft’s official website to place orders.

They expressed that they should be able to drink however and whenever they wanted to.

With that comment under the trending topic, Ansoft’s fame and popularity soared.

Even the news of Betty’s divorce from her husband resurfaced.

The comments were praising hér for being decisive and standing up for herself, a modern role model for

women.

Mike instantly understood why Jerome’s expression changed..

Only a few hours have passed from the drunken photos of Mikayla surfacing and Ansoft’s massive boost in popularity.

Even lined up perfectly to make it happen–the timing, choice of photos, the discovery of the wine, and Ansoft’s support statement toward feminism.
