Chapter 100

Chapter 100

But Jerome ignored her and kicked her out.

Mikayla didn’t want to recall the silly things that she used to do, nor did she want to explain or argue with

Jerome anymore.

Anyway, there were only about ten days left until Wanda’s birthday. He would know her determination by

then.

While they were dancing, Mikayla caught a glimpse of Kylie dancing with another man.

Kylie was wearing a long dress and was dancing gracefully. She danced well with her partner.

Mikayla couldn’t hear what the man said to Kylie, but she smiled back at him gently.

Jerome noticed that Mikayla was distracted, so he glanced over in the direction where she was looking

“How does it feel seeing your paramour dancing with another man so intimately? It must be very uncomfortable, right?” Mikayla asked gloatingly.

Jerome squinted at Mikayla. “What does it have to do with me? Why do I have to feel uncomfortable?”

Jerome’s tone made Mikayla feel like he was explaining to her that he didn’t care about Kylie at all.

Mikayla snorted and wanted to say something. But she saw the chandelier above Kylie swaying.

Before Mikayla could even point it out, the chandelier started to fall all of a sudden!

The man who was dancing with Kylie noticed something was wrong. He reflexively took a big step back, leaving Kylie standing there with a confused look on her face.

As a loud banging sound was heard, Mikayla felt an emptiness on her waist. Jerome, who was holding her tightly just now, was running toward Kylie hurriedly.

In an instant, screaming rang out as well as urgent yelling, concerned questioning, reprimanding, and

ambulance calls.

Many people rushed toward the dance floor. Some of them even bumped into Mikayla’s arm. But she just

stood on the dance floor alone.

At this moment, Mikayla felt that everything in front of her was an illusion.

an

The scene of Jerome leaving while carrying Kylie who was injured in his arms was an illusion. And the wry

and pitiful look in those people’s eyes were illusions.

“Mikayla?” Mikayla didn’t how long it had been until she heard Betty’s voice.

She turned to look at Betty.

“Are you injured?” Betty asked with concern.

Mikayta shook her head and answered, “No I’m not injured.”

Most of the people on the dance floor had dispersed by now, leaving only the messy debris.

With such an accident happening so suddenly, the guests of the banquet had no intentions of staying any

longer. They left under the staffs arrangement.

Some ci the guests examined Mikayla as they were leaving. There was even someone at the corner who

tried to photograph her secretly

“Are you going back now? Shall I ask the driver to give you a ride?” Betty was covering the camera of the person who had no good intentions and asked her concemedly. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

But Mikayla shook her head. “Betty, you’ve prepared a lot of vodka, right?”

Betty was surprised. “Yes. Do you want some?”

Mikayla nodded and answered, “Yes, I want some.”

Betty asked someone to deliver them the vodka.

Ansoft Enterprise had designed a new packing. It was a three–ounce bottle in the shape of an oval.

It didn’t look like a vodka bottle at first glance. Instead, it looked more like a simple perfume bottle.

Betty noticed that Mikayla was staring at the little bottle. She smiled and explained, “I designed it before I divorced Johnny.

“He gave up this design because he thought it was too feminine. But I wanted to be innovative, so I used

it.”

Mikayla said, “It’s quite special. I would want to buy it, at least.”
