Baby Daddy

Katherine jerked back a little.

The way her heart was beating like a marathon race could actually kill her before the bullet.

“Drop the briefcase.”he pointed the gun down at it before elevating up to her forehead again.

Katherine eyes squinted.

She was frightened to the bone.

Maverick on the other side has no intention of killing her. That would just be an easy death!

She berated him and she deserves more than a bullet in her skull!

With her heart in her mouth, Katherine proceeded to the window, grabbed the curtain and jumps out.

Maverick lunged closer to the window and targeted her shoulder then pulled the trigger.

Katherine gasps and cried in pains.

The curtains she used as a rope wasn’t long enough. It only reached half of the building so she landed roughly on the floor when she reached the end of the cloth’s support.

She quickly stood up and started running away.

“Go after her!”Maverick thundered.

He sucked a breath in angrily before sprinting out of the room.

He cursed at the boys for coming all the way inside the house with him without standing guard downstairs.

“Daddy.”Eugenia’s voice shrilled in euphoria as she scurried down the stairs with her short legs, going to hug her father.

Rodriguez chuckled before rubbing her back.

He carried her up and winced in pretense.

“You’re so heavy now, Eugenia. Ugh… I think I have strained my back.”he contorted his face in a way like he was actually hurting.

Eugenia laughed.

“I know you’re more powerful than that.”she giggled.

Rodriguez sat her down on his leg and smiled.

“So, baby, are you ready to go see your failure moon?”he cupped her cheeks.

Eugenia heaved a sigh and rolled her eyes.

“It’s sailor moon, dad. I can’t believe I have to teach you all over again, every blessed day. How chance is it that I am your daughter?. I’m way smarter than you.”she scoffed.

Rodriguez convulsed in laughter.

“I’m an illiterate, I know that. You take after your mom, surely.”

“Exactly.”she said into his face.

She hopped off his leg and swirled Infront of him.

She was donned in a pink bum short and a white tank top. Her hair was packed in a messy bun. She paired her pink trouser up with a pair of pink cute sandals.

“Look at me, do I look good enough?”

“Uhmmm…”Rodriguez hummed and pressed his lips together, sloping his head to the side.

He shook his head and she sulked down.

“Are you sure you’re my seven years old daughter?. You look so hot.”

Eugenia face brightened up and she clapped her hands.

“Yayy.. thank you, dad.”she kissed his cheeks.

Rodriguez stood up and hefted her up in his muscular arms.

“Let’s get this done with, baby girl.”he cooed in her ears.

She giggled before pressing her head down on his thick neck.

His entourage tried to get into their cars also but Eugenia frowned.

She lifts her head up from her father’s neck and huffed.

“No one goes with us, please. I want to go on a normal date with my father alone.”

Rodriguez pecked her cheek before giving his boys a nod.

“Five of you should be enough.”

“What??. No daddy..”the little girl whined.

He brushed her hair back gently.

“You know many people want daddy dead. It’s better to take few boys with us.”

“Ooof! But, I wanna spend quality time with you alone. A day like this rarely comes by.”she huffed.

Rodriguez smiled.

She took just after her mother. His wife was also short on temper.

“Okay, okay. Let’s do it this way. They will go with us to the convention, but, they will stay outside while we go inside?”he raised a brow at her.

She snorts and rolled her pretty eyes balls to the side.

“Not better but I can still make do with it.”

“Now, that’s daddy’s girl. Let’s go.”

Katherine got on her bike and hung the briefcase on the handle before starting it and speeding away.

Maverick’s boys trooped out of the house behind her and they shouts while running after her.

“Stop the bike! Stop!!”

Katherine scoffed.

“I ain’t a bimbo.”

She stole from them and they think she would listen to them and stop her bike so they could catch on to her?.

What a good joke.

She breathed out, endlessly.

Her head was spinning, her hands were shaking on the handles of the bike, her shoulder was hurting, but she dare not stop.

All of a sudden, a car slides out of nowhere and started chasing her down from behind.

Katherine took her eyes to the rearview mirror and sighed.

Who are these people?

They are not Maverick’s boys so definitely, they must be a bunch of freeloaders.

In the car, Ralph groped the engine more tightly and pressed his leg down on the brake, increasing the car’s speed from seventy to hundred.

“Try to get a little closer to her. I can only control the bike then.”Elena instructed.

“I’m trying. Sh! t, she doesn’t look like an easy one too.”Ralph rasped.

“Of course, she is not. She went in there alone and came out in a single piece. She is no ordinary human.”John said from behind and folds his arms.

“Well, do something!”Ralph yelled.

“Something as how?. You are no where near her.”John rolled his eyes.

Ralph huffed.

Elena snapped her fingers a little and Katherine’s bike vibrated a little.

She tried to take over the driving of the bike with her powers but Katherine unexpectedly curbed into a corner.

Ralph hurriedly stepped on the brake when he saw a car fast approaching.

He turned away, driving into a wall.

They all bounced back in the car.

Elena and Ralph hits their heads against the louvers and passed out.

John’s head bounced against the roof and sustained an injury not as serious as his colleagues’s.

Katherine glanced back and let’s out a deep breath.

She slowed her pace down a little because going on high speed was making her get nauseous.

She turned into a corner again.

She felt the dryness and hotness of her throat and swallowed hard.

She really needs a drink right now.

When she thought it was over, an ATV bike double crossed her.

The rider was putting on black outfits with black sunshades and black face cap.

A pink car drove to her side too and she stared around between them.

There’s no way out.

She is as good as dead.
